Batman v. Superman' Fallout: Warner Bros. Shakes Up Executive Roles

No it wasn't bad at all imo.
They just didn't execute it perfectly

The perception is negative before it even came out and then everybody rode the wave of hate

My complaint is they didn't go full dark which would have closed all holes

And the rock music during the fight and superman dying in the grand scheme of things not going dark and superman dying wee big issues

But everything else was dope.

If superman lived and they demonstrate how he ignores the cries of everybody on the regular and was only wanting Lois I'd love it
To each his own but I completely disagree. My issues with BvS go way beyond rock music and Clark dying. The biggest compliant with MOS was the destruction of the city and they turned right around and did it again. But they made it even worst by having people constantly saying that it late at night so nobody is in downtown Gotham .... really, no one is downtown. Not even a single night time janitor. GTFOWTBS.
And Jesse Eisenberg was terrible. He motivations made no damn sense. Look at Civil War, there wasn't one person who wasn't justified. Even the bad guys had a legit beef. WTF was Lex's beef with Batman. And there are major cameos that aren't explained. I know about 3 people who had no idea that was suppose to be The Flash in Bruce's dream. The movie isn't clear at all. It's not truly as dark as it wants to be. And it's not fun. It's just a bad movie with a few admittedly cool parts in it.

This movie didn't make the $$$$$$. The shakeup doesn't surprise me one bit. The idea of Superman vs Batman was a ridiculous idea from the start.
This is my take completely.

Just the idea of it is stupid.

It might have worked if there were a couple of justice league flicks and established Batman the mastermind first.

I didn't even download the shit

Holy shit!!!

Snyder is on record as wantin to film Batman getting sodomized in prison?????

W T F??????

I ain't watch the vid yet but you cannot be serious

"Everyone says that about [Christopher Nolan’s] Batman Begins. 'Batman’s dark.' I’m like, okay, 'No, Batman’s cool.' He gets to go to a Tibetan monastery and be trained by ninjas. Okay? I want to do that. But he doesn’t, like, get raped in prison. That could happen in my movie. If you want to talk about dark, that’s how that would go."

All the people who signed off on Superman dying should be thrown out of a 3rd story window.

I don't want them to die I just want them to have a crippling reminder of how fucked off a decision that was from a universe building stand point....dumbasses!

*two cents *

They were doing too much too soon. Marvel did that shit over da course of some years. Personally, they shoulda went with Braniac or Metallo as a villain. Batman vs. Superman was a bad idea from da start anyways. Da suits are stuck in taking sa safe route thus keep rehashing Supes and Bats. Bats has a big enough rogues gallery to where they can go any direction with other than The Joker. Hell, do a Batman Beyond flick. Shit.

Then these idiots reveal Wonder Woman and Doomsday in da trailers like a buncha dumb asses.

Superman has long distance fighting ability yet he choose to try and fight Batman up close knowing batman has no super powers but tons of gadets.

That's why I never liked that clown.

You're missing a huge bulk of it and that's Zack Snyder fault.
I get what was supposed to happen and how it's supposed to feel but if it goes over everybody heads or you have to spend an eternity explaining it to get it then it's just not good

why is no one talking about the former writer of this flick?

If Terrio didn't come in and try to salvage this film, we would have seen a worse film.

I think Zach Snyder just placed visuals with the script he had, but who knows

I get but when does common sense arrive?

I get but when does common sense arrive?

no that's what im saying.
there's a fine line between being too layered and too dumb and not clever or too clever. they didn't walk any of the lines. so anyone who feels it was too simple and too complex in parts is right. and it makes things more complex if they don't give you all the steps.
if i go jasonblacc _________________________________________ and then he got a million dollars

you'd say ok wtf happened?

that's basically what they did.

It was WAY too soon. And then they even had the nerve to just throw in "Doomsday," which is who I believe that was supposed to be. It was just an awful movie. Marvel is extending the gap and, after Cap. America and if they do Black Panther justice, it's a wrap for DC...who kind of had the lead at one point because of Nolan's Batman films. But you could see signs of trouble even with the third installment. It was decent but not a strong follow up to The Dark Knight. One of the best things they can do for themselves now is to keep Affleck as Batman. He was GREAT and the only good thing about the movie besides Wonder Woman's sexy ass. That actress was perfect.

I mean they just threw out the little joker (Batman v Superman) and the big joker (Superman's death) withouth any type of strategy. I was befuddled when Supes died because it was like this is a moment you build up to. They robbed us and themselves of the visual of all of those Superheroes at his funeral. And they fucked up Lex. Snyder should be pelted with hardboiled eggs for that. I 've stated my displeasure before, but dammit.
100% AGREE

We disagree I could have made it work
But to your point this movie was 1 movie too soon in the series
There should have been 1 more adjustment movie for superman where he truly becomes the good. You could even have dad luger be the villain

And as a result of it kid luger comes into power and it coincides with batman v superman
.that's how I would've approached this movie

It wouldn't be out until 2019 it'd be superman v luger for me in 2016

Man, you can't even get the name of the villain right.

This. And snyder because as soon as he saw what jesse was doin he shoulda stopped that shit right then and there. This mufucka puttin candy in dudes's mouths and lickiin his finger...DA FUCK??????????????

:roflmao2:

man they totally butchered not just the casting for but the entire portrayal of lex...my one main gripe w/ the movie...lex luthor is not supposed to be fucking comic relief

Unpopular view but I actually like this Lex. 2nd best portrayal next to Michael Rosenbaum in Smallville.

The Lex in this movie just so calculating and malicious, but intellectually so. Even in his casual conversations, he belittles everyone. He just had this inherent disdain for EVERYBODY he comes across, plus he always needed to have control.

When he just nonchalantly directed his #1, forever loyal bottom bitch, Mercy Graves to her death, I was like "shit, that's an evil, dirty motherfucker"

Only thing I didn't like was his dialogue in the final scene with Batman. Shit was too left field for me.

interesting you say that cuz I think they tried to make his lex like rosenbaum's so I think I saw what they were going for but imo they failed by making him too quirky/jokey in what I'm guessing was an attempt to make him "appealing" to younger viewers

Your letting him kill Martha

What? Why did you say that name?

It's his mothers name.

I swear it's like something I hear my twins say while playing with there toys.

Awful movie man

I didn't have an issue w/ that part...but that comparison is funny tho

Yeah, I hear ya, the entire father issues angle. Rosenbaum had the luxury of developing his character over years, but man did he nail it.

I have no problem with quirkiness, but I do think it should be dialed back moving forward. I want to see this Lex develop into the monster we all know he is.
