NBA Offseason 2016 - FreeAgency money dried up...Waiters gets $2.6 after OKC pulled $6+ offer...

The fuck as I talking about? I'm talking about they are all time greats but what will clowns say is the one knock on them? They ain't got no chips

You saw it right here on this fuckin board with Lebron before he won a ring in Miami what was dumb niggas on here saying? Choke artist, Jordan 6-6 in the finals and all time of other wild non sensical bullshit
And imagine what they woulda said had he joined a 73 win all star team with a title already that just kicked his ass a month ago..

Marinate on that nigga.

Fuck KD

While Riley bitch ass at it he need to pick up Vasquez,

Guess what 25 yrs from now when he's mentioned with the greats he will be mentioned as a champion...

You hear anyone talkin bout AI like that? Ewing? Barkley? Reggie Miller? Dan Marino?

All time greats but don't get 1 fuckin mention cause they ain't champs

Man I just was reading that Micky was taking fully of Wade and his contract.
Which probably made since, with them knowing Wade wasn't happy last go round.
It said Wade spoke to Pat after the season about the contract but Mickey dealt with him from that point on.

Maybe it was just to save face.

Way to just cut to the bullshit Bruh. Won't be not damn asterisk next to his name when he wins chips with GS. All this he shoulda shit is some of the biggest nonsense ever and fuck Barkley and Reggie and whomever else wants to talk shit after the fact. Those motherfuckers didn't do it because they weren't presented the chance to. So, a superstar should have his decision during his FREE agency limited to certain teams!?!? What kind of bullshit is that! I'm glad he made the fucking decision HE wanted to and am going to laugh my ass off while he continues to collect his millions and possibly wins some chips while not giving two shits about all the motherfuckers whining and shit!

Mick could've over ruled Pat and gave Wade the 3rd year and extra 10 mill

That would've been $16.6 mill a year or 3yrs/50m.. Wade retires as a Heat

There are owners who want to win and then there are those who want to make money..what will be interesting is how the new cba will be..will owners revolt against themselves? I know the players hate those tax and cap shit, what will they do? Etc

You're right. That's why I've always been a fan of Gilbert. Gilbert is making himself a lot of money elsewhere and seems to look at the team as a long-term hold. Gilbert is the one who fucked it up for other owners knowing he'd pay the penalties($50 millions). :money:Few owners will do that. They still are talking small market size when that doesn't even matter these days.

Ticket sales go up for winners. More television. More jerseys sold. The Spurs kept the small market myth alive simply because they are a fucking boring product. If Lebron were in SAS, people would have stopped that market size talk years ago. Spurs shit would be every fucking where.

Owners are going to have to put up or shut up. Cheap owners will just be farm systems for owners who have true superstars and need pieces.

They were ready to move on from wade.
They didn't try to keep him.
Bosh is next.

That's crazy because Miami is not winning a title over the next 3-4 years anyway. You think all of this was worth losing your franchise's biggest player. All over 7M man. The reputation of the franchise is gone over 7M and respecting Wade. Yall can't sell that "we're family and take care of our own" shit anymore..and that's the second thing the heat were known for after Wade. Would be different is wade was washed, but he actually had a good season.

He paid the penalties because he knew he would get that bread back and then some when the new TV deal hit! Notice, he hasn't spent a whole lot of money this offseason! Gilbert still playing chess

If Phil Jackson would have waited a few more days he could have given that 50 mill to Wade instead of Lee

Naw beat u misunderstood what I was suggesting.

Here:

Ira Winderman: A few clarifications: Pat Riley and Dwyane Wade discussed the Heat’s approach during a lengthy (reportedly cordial) meeting after season’s end… Micky Arison then took the point on Wade’s contract negotiations, staying in contact with Wade.

Riley fucked up the heat reputation for what? But honestly Micky could have over Rule'd Riley and give Wade the 10 mill and 3yr so he can retire a Heat.. Fuckin clowns

Gilbert played those muthafuckas...the main one pushing that shit and now he's paying the biggest luxury tax bill.

I can only imagine the acting job he played behind the scenes. He had to tell them something good because I know they questioned the fact that he was a big spender.

He paid the penalties because he knew he would get that bread back and then some when the new TV deal hit! Notice, he hasn't spent a whole lot of money this offseason! Gilbert still playing chess

Shit, he just bought Tower City in downtown Cleveland for like $60 million. Right next to his casino. Has property all around he hasn't developed but will need political help to do so. The chess he is playing is to control the entire region up here and hold the franchise while the NBA makes it go up a couple billion over the decades.

He'd have spent this year, but their are cap restrictions, remember? Not matching Delly and Mozgov were basketball moves, not coming down by Gilbert to save money. This guy will spend and spend to make this franchise relevant so he can keep brining people downtown to his casinos and other developments he has in mind.

Been watching this guy for too long. He's using sports as a path to other things. Much like smart superstars like James, Jordan, Magic, and others do. True fucking chess.

he ain't spent money this off season cause he spent it last off season lol. nothing really to do with chess you got 3 max contracts on the books there's not much more you can do other than just go ahead and reup lebron for the max 1 year deal he been getting.

like cac how the fuck you gonna tell another franchise where they should play? don't make it so obvious you want to make money off of 2 nba franchises

Yup...most didn't think dude was gonna leave...Wade leaving the 305 and Wade County yea right

Everyone thought both parties would come to an agreement

Micky taking the point on contract negotiations and Pat not? Pat is a fuckin clown

Yeah, I've heard he's bought up a lot of Detroit too. With that said, it's stupid to play outside of Detroit. I remember when the Cavs played in Richfield. It was just dumb as fuck. When Gun arena opened in the 90s, folks could finally catch the rapids to the game.

Having an arena 30 minutes or more from the city is dumb.

You got the wrong guy with that one. When Lebron was gone, still was a fan. He wants a winner. I don't care about his motives of owning the damn region. Hope he eventually snatch up all the sports teams up here.
