Not to derail the thread, but it's not meant to be logical. That's just my gut reaction. Disgust. My initial impression of the sex charge was worse than it actually is, which is a strange relief, but a relief nonetheless. And the brother's personal history is as germane to the discussion as the police officer's personal history, both in and out of uniform.

I see a lot of cacs putting their faith in a 911 call that stated that Sterling was pointing a gun, even though the store owner said he didn't see any altercations. We know that there are a lot of bullshit 911 calls that flat out lie(racist fat fuck in Mckinney pool party incident) or create an unnecessary threat to a person(Tamir Rice), so I need to hear the exact words that were used and from whom. If simply calling 911 and saying a person has a gun will get the itchy trigger fingers of cops going, we now have government hit squads that can take care of enemies for us.

I have an extremely difficult time believing someone black is looking for justification for the murder in the victims past. Observing the footage to see if the murder was in any way justifiable is one thing, because thats dealing with the facts of the incident.

but they had him pinned and it does look like he resisted a bit but i believe the cop panicked and took his

When the officer took his gun out tho, it wasn't because there was a threat to the officers, it was to threaten Alton with being shot if he didn't stop moving.

If there are facts that indicate that the police officers involved have a history of abuse/affiliations with extremist groups/prior disciplinary history I would think that would be up for discussion and review. Just as if there were facts that indicated the deceased was a decorated war vet with a Bachelor's from Howard and a Master's from Harvard. Everything should be scrutinized and examined.

Meanwhile guys that look like THIS guy get to LIVE...but then I guess in THIS case these officers didn't fear for their lives...dude was just a little crazy..chasing after them while hitting them..making advanced lunges with intent on making contact with officers...he might have even made an attempt at taking the officers gun..yeah im sure that's what he was trying to do from the way it looked.. didn't we all see that? CLEARLY this was a case to shoot this guy at LEAST 8 or 9 times..cuz it took 8 shoots in the back to bring down a blackman fleeing from the cops so if an enraged whiteman is running towards the cops reaching for his weapon it would prolly take oh I guess a minimum of say about 15-20 shots..but maybe this was in fact a TRAINING video on how to subdue someone when NOT in fear of ones live.

The media would be all over that and it contradicts the store owner being calm and not understanding why they shot him. And even that does not follow the videos we saw. Active shooter means ordering him on the ground with your weapons drawn from a safe distance. Unless they wanted a repeat of Tamir which once again is the wrong move for the cops.
