Cops shoot and kill black man Alton Sterling at point blank range in Baton Rouge

As I stated, the young man probably already was as his pops had already served time, etc. Not sure what's so upsetting about what I stated.
If he was a child molester I'll save my black tears

Sterling was a registered sex offender, after a 2000 conviction for carnal knowledge of a juvenile, records show. The circumstances of the case were not immediately clear. Records say he was released for his offense in October 2004.

He was previously arrested for aggravated battery, criminal damage to property, unauthorized entry and domestic abuse battery, records show. In 2009, he was sentenced to five years in prison for marijuana possession and for carrying an illegal weapon with a controlled dangerous substance.

Family members said he was on probation when he died and would not have been allowed to carry a gun.

I just cant today, the ONLY solution is armed warfare...but we are conditions to always seek help from the same organizational structure that is murdering us.

Anyone seen the president on a podium giving a speech yet? NOPE state issue, not important, blah blah blah

RIP and sorry for the young man, who no longer has a father. Take the settlement money, educate, train your mind, and your trigger finger...NEVER forgot..and if you get a shot, handle your business.

Fuck all that forgiveness shit. These blue gangs out her just fucking heartless.
Haven't seen the president he's still fighting for gay rights.

Officer Howie Lake II is a three-year veteran of the Baton Rouge Police Department. He is a member of the uniform patrol division.

Lake, 29, was put on administrative leave in 2014 after he was one of six officers who shot a 28-year-old man, Kevin Knight, WAFB-TV reported at the time. Knight survived the shooting.

According to police, the officers shot Knight after he fired at them.

Lake won a “life saving” award in 2015, according to the department’s Facebook page.

He attended Parkview Baptist High School in Baton Rouge, graduating in 2006. He then played college football, as an offensive lineman, at Louisiana College.

Captain Noel Salamoni is the commander of the department’s Special Operations Division, according to the city’s website. He has been with the department for more than 34 years, according to his Linkedin profile.

The elder Salamoni was a finalist for the city’s police chief position in 2013, but the current chief, Carl Dabadie Jr., was chosen instead.

Blane Salamoni’s mother, Melissa Salamoni, is a retired Baton Rouge police captain, according to her Linkedin profile. She joined the department in 1984 and was the violent crime and crime scene commander at the time of her retirement.

What can be done to fix it then??

I have a whole thread with suggestions and recommendations.

I will bump it.

Other than that, the first thing that black people need to do as a collective and as individuals is to acknowledge that racism/white supremacy is the problem.

That's the first thing that we need to do.

Sadly they could say he had herein or p.c.p in his system and say they were afraid he could over power them. Yall have no idea how scared cacs are of us even when they have the advantage
Then don't become police if you are so afraid...

What happend to BRAVERY?

and how come if I'm scared, I can't shoot police?
I'm in fear of my life in every interaction... but can I shoot them?

NO!?!?!?! They'd fry my black ass.

I am expected to manage my fear and the officer's at the same time! Like I'm the highly paid, trained, armed, professional.

When did the roles reverse?

Why am I expected to remain professional/respectful - I'm not the one at work!

Did any of that deny him due process?

Waive his right to a trail?

Make him less human than the MILLIONS OF CAC pedos thay don't get shot down?

How does him having a gun in an open carry state mean shoot on sight?

I agree the police have a history of killing unarmed black people and not being held accountable in court. Its a huge flaw in our society. The video looks terrible but i bet these cops will also get off scott free like they always do. It seems like the "Hes got a gun" excuse is their license to kill.

Im saying its hypocritical of black people to go march and riot when police kill us but yet we kill us by the thousands in abortion clinics and in the streets.

Also why is it that we always have cell phone video of police doing dirt but few videos of the thousands of killings that go on in our community?

He's right... look at what's going on in Chicago, we need to be talking about black on black crime too...

Why would you waste your time focusing on people that are paid to protect and serve and uphold the law, just for killing a few thousand people each year and falsifying the official version of events to fit their stories, which by chance always paints the officer as having no other choice but to use deadly force....

It's only FEW thousand citizens... they're the police! We can trust them to investigate themselves after a deadly shooting occurs!

I mean my god, what do you expect? Police to DEESCALATE situations and ensure the safety of the general public by using conflict negotiations skills and non lethal weapons?

If that was their job, then why would we militarize them and give them tanks and APCs? If they didn't use them wouldn't that be wasting tax payers money?

You liberals are sick.... stop sucking on the government's tit and let these boys do their jobs.

What's a choke hold between friends?

How dare you hold these public servants to a higher standard than abortion clinic workers and gangbangers.... #ForShame #BlueLivesMatterMORE

C'mon man

NBA player Glen “Big Baby” Davis says he knew Alton Sterling — the man killed on video by police in Baton Rouge — and tells TMZ Sports he was a “Great guy” who “wouldn’t hurt a fly.” Davis — who grew up in Baton Rouge — met “Big Alton” years ago and would sometimes give him CDs to sell to help promote Davis’ music. Davis says it wasn’t just promotion, but it was a way to help Alton make a living for his family

This boils my blood, a father of 5, working to take care of his fam was killed for sport.

Because killers in our communities usually pop up behind someone and run or it's a drive by. Either way the killer is not going to wait for the police or ambulance to come.

I still need answers...

Should police be held to a higher standard than civilians?

Why is it that we never focus on their duty to DEESCALATE situations?

How is it that we compare those who are paid to protect us and those who's job os destroy us?

Why is it that when Blackman kill Black men jail time is in the upper 90% but when cops kill there's a .05% chance of prosecution? And even when prosecuted a 80% chance theu will serve NO jail time?

When did Bravery become extinct? Shouldn't being afraid of the people you are paid to protect disqualify you from policing?

Answer those then we will begin exploring why criminals do what they do...

I'll wait

The white dude fed of the power from the Tazer and got away.. lol. There is clearly a double standard.

The black man is viewed as a savage beast that can snap at any moment and go crazy. This is why police dont hesitate to kill us.

Whites on the other hand are not viewed a threat and are treated differently.

We get killed by the police, we kill ourselves in the streets, we kill our babies in the womb.. The future doesnt look good for us.... We are a dying breed..

African Americans are no longer the largest minority group inthe USA.. The lagest is the Hispanics and dont think they are in aliance with us or have our best interests at heart.

Its time to wake up people.
