NBA Offseason 2016 - FreeAgency money dried up...Waiters gets $2.6 after OKC pulled $6+ offer...

The Heat won their first title without LeBron on the team, Mr. "you must not have been watching." And Wade was damn near as good as LeBron on the first two trips to the Finals.

No Wade, no Miami titles. Simple as that.

I'm talking about recent history. First you gave Wade those 2 championships. Now you admit it. If you finally admit what we all know (LBJ has always been the best player on any team he's been on), then how can it even be Wade's championships??? I know Wade is great, let's just not get carried away in praise of others. Lebron's been the best player in the NBA the last 10 years. Since MJ he's been the most dominant force in the NBA (other than giving Shaquille, Grant Hill, and Kobe a few years in between)

Wow, they saying okc entertaining

Trade offers for russ Westbrook.

We all know where Russ wants to go so hopefully Jimmy don't pull a James Dolan move and trade for a player who you can get in the offseason for cap space. No team is trading for Russ not knowing if he'll sign a long term contract.

Zaza is an upgrade from Bogut. Basically yall have the same team returning

Curry
Klay
Durant
Green
Zaza
Iggy
Livingston
Rush
Rookie center
And they still might get Barbosa and speights back..they bench will be fine plus looney will be healthy also...i dont know if zaza is better than bogut though..don't agree with that...

Yall squad couldn't defend the paint against the Cavs and now the only paint defenders are gone. Draymond is a versatile defender but he's not blocking any shots or even making anyone think twice about driving. Durant is an under-rated defender, but it's mainly as a perimeter defender. He's also not blocking shots and making anyone think twice about driving.

Jones might have to play but I can't imagine a rookie being a meaningful enforcer in the paint. The good thing is that you need absolutely zero scoring from the center position..just need a big body that can make people think twice about driving
Them defending or not defending the paint wasn't the reason why they lost..and their paint defense didn't hurt them..it was their consistently lack of effective offense that did them in..and that still took them 7 games and the last 4 mins for them to lose..they will be fine..and i actually think they probably gonna be better on defense with kd

I guess you missed that the Warriors picked up Zaza

Zaza averages .3 blocks per game man. Ain't nobody thinking twice about driving with Zaza in the paint. To put this into perspective for you, Bogut averaged 5 times the number of blocks as Zaza and in a good year 9 times the number of blocks.

Yeah they needed a guy who can score in isolation. They got that with Durant. Those last 4 mins of game 7 would have been when Durant would have taken over

No the fuck he aint! Not defensively. Zaza is trash as a defender. He's just a big body...nothing more. Bogut has actually been on all-defensive teams.

Zaza is replacing Ezili.
Zaza will be the starter and Bogot was unless. I don't really consider him a good defender

You're still in denial. That series turned when Bogut and Iggy got hurt and Lebron raped yall paint defense. It's one of the major reasons yall lost. Curry playing extra smedium was the other (along with Barnes).

Rewatch the games or look at the shot chart. They feasted on yall in the paint.

Miami never had a shot blocker and we dominated the league. With that kind of fire power trying to keep up with scoring is going to be rough time especially when Durant or Green move to the 5.

Durant didn't even take over in the last 4 minutes in the series against GS.

More jump shooting wasn't going to be the solution.

Why are you comparing Miami to GS? The teams are constructed totally different. Yall had a team full of great perimeter defenders and a intimidator in the paint. Yall could keep players out of the paint. GS can't.

I'm not saying it's going to cause them to lose another Finals, but the team isn't flawless. The paint defense is going to be average to below average and now the bench is going to be average at best. That's just what happens on a top-heavy team. You're depending on them shooting away those deficiencies which is very possible considering the shooters theyll have.

Simple question if Curry and barnes played up to how they normally play do GS win? Simple answer yes..not in denial over anything and I've watched the games several times..

Durant is a good iso player that can get his shot off in tough to times like that. He probably gets that one bucket the Warriors needed.

You're talking about IFs. I'm talking about what happened. Irving and Lebron aint yall up in the paint as soon as Bogut went out and it doubled up when Iggy's back tightened up. Go look at the different between GSs and the Cavs paint scoring.

The flip side of the argument (since you like IFs) is could yall have still won with Curry and Barnes underperforming IF yall could have defended the paint over the last 3 games.

Man our Center was Bosh and Power forward was Shane with Birdman at center at times. We had zero intimidator. We stayed getting out rebounded and had no interior defense.

We still dominated tho.

Curry is too...and that shit didn't work out. You're adding strength on strength. I think this team works beautifully if someone else or the team in general takes a more aggressive strategy in attacking the basket. A wide open layup or mid-range shot is almost always better than a long 3 because even great shooters don't make a majority of those long ass shots but they're money in the paint. That's why they went scoreless over the last 5 minutes in game 7.

Shane, Birdman, and Bosh can't keep people in front of them.

And Haslem used to bang people in the paint. Stop. He was the heart and soul of that team and would put a player on the floor when needed. He's actually been suspended in playoff series for doing that shit.

Man you trippin

In the last 4 mins you would have had a line up of

Curry
Klay
Iggy
Durant
Green

Leaving Durant one on one with 4 mins to score a basket, he is probably getting that bucket. You must forgot how lethal a scorer his is.

NBA Finals isn't won or lost in 4 minutes. What about the other 44 minutes of that game and the games preceding it. Alright man.. don't listen.. just like I told yall it was major trouble when Bogut went out and yall didn't want to listen. He was only logging 15 minutes but he set the tone early and Lebron doesn't like a lot of contact in the paint. As soon as Bogut went out he started eating yall up scoring 40 points a game and shit..

Man Haslam was undersized and has not been effective since about 2009. We had no rim protection or shot blocking. We were also dead last in rebounds.

You must be forgetting how extra smedium Durant has been in the clutch in the playoffs as well.. i meant this same guy in game 7 of the western conference finals committed 5 turnovers over the last 5 minutes. No guarantee he would have delivered.

the lineup is going to be sick, but Durant wasn't the solution to that game 7.... the Warriors already have the solution on the court, they were just fucking stupid and kept shooting 3s.

That game was lost in the last 4 mins. Without a rim protector or size the Warriors held the Cavs to one basket last 4 mins

Bruh with Curry, Klay, Iggy, Durant and Draymond on the floor there will be no collapsing on him forcing him to take a contested shot.
