When you have a Derozen getting the same deal Kevin Durant will get, thats problematic. The max contract is essentially a double tax... Its redundant as fuck on a league that already has a fucking salary cap. Plus, they have that "36 rule" bullshit in place that further cripples elite players once they hit age 31 or 32.
