NBA Offseason 2016 - FreeAgency money dried up...Waiters gets $2.6 after OKC pulled $6+ offer...

That's the whole point of contention I have bro. When a player has meant as much to the heat as Wade has, no way am I taking pay cuts during my Prime, when the team really needs me and I have the most Leverage. Kobe was an anomaly, with the Lakers did with him hardly ever truly happens. Now, all this Riley and the heat D-Wade such and such, it's really a moot point. He's not who you used to be, and if he walks even though on the surface they lose their best player, it doesn't make sense to destroy the team for years to come compensating a player for what he used to do. That's actually sort of counterproductive.

They need to do it for DWade, he's the franchises best player.

Fuck these franchises for trying to make players do like Tim Duncan or Dirk. Both better have a lifetime position with the franchise on some Bobby Bonilla shit.

One thing, even on a bad team, fans came to see Kobe, and not just in LA...across the country. Kobe sold jerseys and tickets. It will be interesting to see the fan support this year.

Do fans come out to see DWade?

Kobe told these niggas about taking discounts: Kobe 'not going for' discount deals

Meanwhile, dude has to be seeing some of these these deals thinking he can go one more year

That's why Richard Jefferson rescinded his retirement.

His agent probably said, you started and had a good playoffs....Delly and Mosgkov barely played and will make 10 and 16 mil.

He was like word? I have a couple of more years

He played well too
Good for him

A lot of truth here
Hell , the fans came late when Bron was here.

I feel you, but ultimately, they didn't MAKE Wade do anything. He chose to do it to allow his team flexibility, and ultimately, it may cost him. In essence, yeah, they do need to make things right with him principle wise, but also, they have an obligation to the fans, ticket buyers, etc. TODAY, so its a matter of what is the main priority... Keeping the fanbase happy with a good product TODAY, or honoring a player who was vital to your teams success in the past?!?

Most teams will decide to build for today, and do whats best for the team Today, and at that point, the player who took the sacrifice is looking like Wade getting low ball offers. Thats why I said, I don't understand the sacrifice for the team mentality... The owners aren't, and they also make even more money when your sacrifices help make a better team, and that team wins.

With all these big ass contracts these players are getting, I can only imagine the dollars these owners are pocketing from the new deal. Imagine how much of a bitch Riley is treating Wade like... The salary cap goes up, and you make him an offer of HALF what he made the previous season?!?! :smh:

Co sign Arison gives Riley complete control over the organization.. Arison don't stick his nose in at all

This bullshit is 100% on Riley. If I'm Wade I don't sign with him now even if he does come up on the bread on principle. He's basically holding out for KD, and if they don't get him THEN he's gonna come at Wade like he's an afterthought... :hmm:

Exactly... Kobe knew his years of winning chips were over, and his career was winding down, AND the owners were still eating off of him so he basically told them to GTFOH with that shit! People didn't listen, called him selfish, etc. and now look at them :smh:

Yep... it was ridiculous how Dudes were on here praising Riley like he was the Messiah or something... Utterly ridiculous! :smh:

It showed just how much 'clout' he had with the big 3 when after his time was up, even after the 'big' meeting, etc. LeBron still bounced. Riley really hasn't done anything of major substance, and it was really embarrassing seeing all these Dudes praising and literally worshipping Riley as some type of genius for that great 4 year run when he didn't have anything to do with it.

Funny how, we as black men would give a CAC so much love and props for putting something together, yet ignore the fact that it was really the brain child of the 3 BLACK men who came together with a plan, successfully worked together as a cohesive unit and were very successful, and weren't given any credit...

The slave mentality still exists... its very subtly, but it's still there. Its real heavy as it applies to Riley though... I just don't understand it... :smh:
Listen people forget Riley got Gary Payton mourning and juwan Howard in their primes..mourning just opened his mouth and the nba came in and rescinded those deals..now I'm not going to give riles all the credit for getting lbj and bosh but I'm not going to sit here and give him no credit

Bruh for years they'd wanted to play together. Riley had nothing to do with that. Now, I do give him credit for securing the proper balance in cap space to sign all 3, but a far as being instrumental in coming together he had next to nothing to do with that. It basically fell in his lap and he ran with it.... All 3 had made up their mind they wanted to do this, all he had to do was give Lebron the reassurance that this could work financially. Riley wasn't anything but extremely lucky in this whole thing...

KingT, address this please....

He a "Laker fan" who do the bulk of his posting bout "Bronze" in the Finals. Mofo hop on Laker rivals bandwagons every Finals (Spurs in '14, Warriors in '15, '16) Thats like a Tarheel fan pulling for Duke in the NCAA tourney. :smh: Whore Sinister is more Kobe stan than Laker diehard. Ask cuz to put Shaq rings back in his sig again.

Regardless of how or why it came together, it did..and Riley however little it was, played a part in it..i don't know the role he played but I'm sure he played some role

I keep wondering how David West feels

No, you have to sign Durant first. If they somehow get Durant they can then go over the cap to sign Wade since he's their free agent they have his rights. If they sign wade now they'd have no chance at Durant due to cap reasons.

I never said he did, and as the GM he HAD to play some part in completing the situations as he was the one managing the money. My point is, for years he's been revered as this genius mastermind who put this whole thing together, etc. and thats frankly not true...

so its basically fuck dwade until we know what kd is doing?

even though he's the heart and soul of the franchise

yeah dwade, come on to nyc bro

those sweets dont appreciate you

Not debating that... my point is, if I'm Wade I'm out regardless at this point. As I said before, these owners don't want to pay certain luxury taxes, etc. and will cut or underpay a player in a heartbeat to save THEMSELVES money... but its always the players who have to leave money on the table, and up to this point that 'loyalty' has come back to bite D Wade in the ass...

You still a heat fan?
