If you are a big fan of ‘The Matrix‘ and its sequels, you may be excited to learn that actor Keanu Reeves has stated that he is currently working on a 4th and 5th movie. Check out the early details below, and share your thoughts AFTER THE JUMP!

AICN received a scoop from an event that took place at the London International School of Performing Arts, where Keanu Reeves spoke to the class about his career while promoting his new movie “Henry’s Crime.” He spoke briefly about “47 Ronin” and “Bill and Ted 3,” but the big news came when Reeves revealed that he met with the Wachowskis around Christmas. They told him that they completed script treatments for two more “Matrix” installments. They are planning to make the films in 3D and have already met with James Cameron to discuss the advantages and disadvantages of the technology. Reeves added that he’s excited to return as Neo and promised that the treatments will truly revolutionize the action genre like the first “Matrix” film did.

easily done. you die and are reborn, you don't know you're the one. you don't remember being the one. the people who lived when you were the one are dead. remember he's the 5th version of the one. for all we know, the other 4 versions looked exactly like him and if they did, the 6th version can easily be him again... as the one. if it is an anomaly, a statistical one they accept as happening and everything else in the entire matrix is balanced perfectly, then that accepted anomaly probably looks the exact same each time so it's not really a variable if they know it won't be balanced by 1.

neo.

They
No thank you.
they can just continue it from the last movie, remember the machine said they would give people a choice to stay or leave, so it should be interesting because I'm sure you will have two camps those who want to stay and those who want to leave.

Don't think it's happening...

What was their last movie that wasn't considered a financial disappointment? Like seriously. Matrix Reloaded :dunno: It damn sure wasn't Speed Racer or Cloud Altas. And after Jupiter Ascending flopped with the force of a megaton bomb, I can't see Warners or any studio giving these two that Matrix sequel type money. I mean I could be wrong. Hollywood execs are notoriously idiots when it comes to money, but giving the Wachowskis blockbuster money just seems like a bad investment.

And when the week 2 number for Independent Day 2 come in the chances for Matrix 4 will probably be killed for good. People clearly ain't as nostalgic for long dead franchises as Hollywood thought.

And just for the record, I LOVE ALL 3 Matrix movies. I'd love to see a continuation of the story. Just doesn't seem like a real possibility.

didn't the oracle and architect said the peace was temporary...maybe someway somehow the machines bring back neo and turn him against the people lol...than that lil kid who made the spoon bend or lil girl that oracle had would be the new 1..the machines frankenstein neo

The 3rd Matrix movie wasn't a total fiasco... when you consider the 'worldwide' numbers. :o
Granted, it DEFINITELY got killed by 'movie critics' & writers... but still did 'good enough' overseas to merit another movie, by Hollywood math.

1 - The Matrix (March 1999)
Budget:
$63 million
US Box Office: $171 million
Worldwide: $463 million

2 - Matrix: Reloaded (May 2003)
Budget:
$150 million
US Box Office: $281 million
Worldwide: $742 million

3 - The Matrix: Revolutions (Nov 2003)
Budget:
$110 million
US Box Office: $139 million
Worldwide: $427 million

Not sure if should i shoukd be excited. But it seems John Wick done gave people delusions

The biggest question will be....'if they waited too long'.... to bring this franchise back. :dunno:

I don't think it's the 'John Wick' movie that gave Warner Brothers 'delusions (of grandeur)'.... :smh:

I think Warner Brothers is most likely trying to compete with Marvel Studios.

They probably want a piece of the hordes of (sci-fi/comic) fans who will show up in theaters to see 'Dr. Strange' later this year.

Personally, I think there IS a real possibility to 'bring it back'... but Warner Bros. MUST DROP the Wachowski Brothers Sisters as Directors, to do so.

If the WB Studio Execs are SMART.... they will hire a different Director.... or try to nab one of the Hottest Directors from 'Game of Thrones'.

Namely, this guy. (Miguel Sapochnik)
His stock is thru the roof, right about now.

Another Matrix movie is likely the only way the studios are willing to deal with the Wachowskis right now.
It's a franchise that will pull in cash even if the movie sucks.
