True. They stay in packs. Every time I see one of'em solo, he gettin or bout to get his asshole chewed off by a lion!

Or as in this case, a pack of wild dogs! lol

kind of like a dude that wont confront you one on one. He'll kind of slink by you - then come back with his boys talkin shit.

can't stand their asses either. They always gotta have numbers to fight or obtain food, otherwise they run like bitches.

It's no different than wolves.elephants, lions and etc,who have numbers to get their food...I don't understand, why folks believe hyenas need numbers to kill something, when they mostly eat dead bodies and skillful hunters.

Not always, they hunt solo too,,,besides, its strength in numbers. Those wild dogs were protecting their kill or their pups nearby,,,can't have hyenas lurking near their fresh grub or pups

Competition between neighboring predators for resources is fierce. For example:

Word. Gotta appreciate hyenas for their tenacity and heart. To be the only animals consistently fighting an apex predator who outweighs you by atleast 100 pounds is something in itself.

huh? why were the wild dogs afraid of the water? lame

Hippos and Crocs are in the top 6 for the strongest bite in the world.

Humans may be arrogant idiots, and let their kids play by Croc waters, but Animals know what the deal is.

The Hyena bite is actually more stronger that the Lion bite, but when you combine the Lions bite along with its strength, a Hyena has no chance. Unless they gang up on the Lion. But thats rare.

Hyenas will gang up and kill Lionesses.....but youll be hard pressed to find a lot of Hyenas killing Lions. Even if a pack of them ran up on a Lion, theyd still be hesitant. They know who the King of the Jungle is.

Hyenas hunt more than they scavenge, just like other predators. But sometimes its easier to push another predator off of its kill rather than spend time and effort on a not so guaranteed success of a hunt. Predators highjacking other predators is very common.

I understand that, but people act like they're the only ones, who does it though...

Wolves are not solely pack hunters - neither are lions - solo adult males of both will attack anything they feel is trespassing on their territory
Elephants are herbivores and very few animals will ever fuck with an adult
a solo Hyena in the wrong season is a hungry one and a very vulnerable one

Social predators (those that hunt and live in groups) often split up their group temporarily when prey in their territory becomes scarce. its a survival technique.

Don't let their cackling fool you lol, hyenas hunt solo too sometimes:

The thing about hyenas is that they unlike many other animals they don't give a fuk if you are alive or dead when they start eating you. Most times, I watch other large Predators kill the prey first. Not hyenas. Hyenas will eat their prey while they are still alive. That's animal gangsta-ism.

hell yea, back up for the back up lol

Hyenas are opportunists. If somebody else's kill is there they will take it. If an easy score of their own is available, they'll take that too. They have the 3rd highest bite pressure of any land animal in the world.
got it. dude should have placed the article for all to see instead of posting pics. It just looks like they afraid to get wet.

I want to see the rest. They made dude get the fucc on! I hate Hyenas...Love when Lions fucc up their whole day!
I hate lions and love to see when hyenas fuck them up.
