So you're talking about the DREAM Act that was proposed by Congress and still isn't law? What the President did was to say that his Administration wouldn't seek to deport kids that would qualify under the DREAM Act.
Kind of like when he said his Administration would no no longer prosecute the war on drugs. Or when he freed thousands of non violent drug offenders jailed by the war on drugs that disproportionately affects Black people?
BTW, Obama has deported more illegals than Bush, Clinton or Reagan, so many in fact, that Latinos refer to him as the Deporter in Chief.
I will be so glad when January 20, 2017 comes along so all of the Anti - Obama-ites on BGOL can attack the next President - oh wait the next President will be white and of course - like Tavis Smiley and Cornell West during Bush, Clinton, Bush not a mumbling word.

This whole thread and that article, and no one has posted any specific things they expect the President to do but that he didn't.
The article says the president single handedly changed immigration in the country which is laughable. Republicans losing elections changed the narrative around immigration.
If your representatives sent him legislation that he didn't sign or vetoed, then people would have a point.
But...
Everything pointed out in this thread really just was ignoring discriminatory policies when dealing with the Federal government for various groups. The major victories, like gay marriage, happened at the supreme court or congress, and Congress makes laws and the courts interpret them.
People wanted him "calling out" white folks, black folks love a show. We deal with our emotions. But when he does things like increase funding for HBCUs - well, it wasn't enough. Starts "My Brother's Keeper" - that ain't shit. Pardon's thousands - well he should have done that a long time ago.
But, let him do something like say he's not going to deport latino kids..."SEE I TOLD YOU HE DON'T DO NOTHING FOR BLACK PEOPLE ONLY MEXICANS"
