curious. why does this confirm that melo ain't about shit?
all melo did was with a competent gm in denver make the playoffs every single year in the western conference. guide a team to the conference finals where he showed up as well.
in the east he had an old ass broken down team that survived the regular season then broke down in the playoffs.
where he again showed up every night but we want him to beat the big 3 of boston one year
and the big 3 of miami the next year by himself.
people will say well 4 of the the top 5 picks in that draft got rings and melo dont' and then leave out the #1,4 and 5 pick played together and got them
and the other pick didn't even get in the game and got a courtesy ring.
melo chased money. i can accept that sure. he chased the dollars. but he ain't the problem with the knicks. the team is the problem. he needs an actual team. of regular players who can do their jobs. a big man. a guard who can score. a point guard who can distribute the ball. simple shit. not even a specialist team. he just needs to not be playing with dudes who can't do shit.
the only person who is making their teams crazy by association in the nba today are lebron james cp3 and steph that's the list.
niggas will argue me up and down about steph out of pure dislike for the dude but he's in that company of making those around him better by him being on the court.
showed that shit last night. he coming off a screen away from the ball and niggas leaving klay thompson open at the top of the key for a 3. this doesn't take away anything klay has done or make him a lesser player it does illustrate something though because that would never be reversed where 2 people run to klay without the ball and leave steph open. that's just a fact.
Dude I am a Knick fan so I put all the pressure on Melo...
I aint rational about that stuff.
he KNEW what it was before he got here and our owner f*cked up by giving up too much to get him.
But that aside
you saying the team Melo had around him was WORSE then the team Lebron had around HIM when he was in Cleveland?
I aint with this over achieved got lucky stuff..
that goes for ALL TEAMS in ALL sports...
the BEST team rarely wins.
That 50 win Knick team won so they were good enough
age injury whatever...
this the league.
nobody thought that Dallas team would beat the Heat or that Wade, old Shaq team would win a chip.
Cause they have been players you have had good teams around TOP PICK SUPERSTARS
and NOTHING...
So what about KD and Westbrook...
Or D. Rose and the Bulls teams?
So they getting a pass too now?
What I'm saying is I hate people moving the goal posts with Lebron and and Steph...
we gotta be fair.
To those which is much is given much is expected...
and Lebron and Steph aint the only ones who have been given talent.
So I am NOT giving Melo a pass, because just like ALL the other players he knew EXACTLY what he was getting into...
and knows what is expected.
and Melo can't claim he aint had NO influence didn't he want Lin out of NY (not that the Houston contract helped)
matter fact ALL these players have some influence and can get players traded or coaches fired.
point blank period.
Lebron did it so did J. Kidd Magic Melo Kobe Shaq KD Harden should I continue?
I love Melo and I fully understand your point...
all I'm saying is NO SPECIAL consideration.
You wanna be the man?
With the contract endorsements etc?
then be the MAN...
WIN or LOSE.
