The cavs level of competition or lack thereof isn't the reason why they getting roasted..Cavs just ain't on GS level..never have been..it's just media fans and posters believe in that fools gold

The fucked up part is I don't think the Cavs gave a 75% effort yea as a whole

I won't say it's the sole reason but I do think level of competition does help prepare you for the finale. The warriors have faced adversity somewhat. They've faced competition. Cavs haven't faced no team that's as faced paced as the Warriors. Cavs were dominating based on 3 point shooting and when that's gone then what? You gonna try to outshoot the best shooting team in the league?

the problem last night was poor coaching and prep going back to last summer

Love lacks the versatility skillset and defense to matchup with the warriors when they go small

Understood... but fact remains, they were down 8 when he went out for the game, never to return, and ended up losing by 33. GS made their game deciding run when he was not on the court, yet LeBron and Kyrie WERE on the court... Love was not the major problem last night at all. LeBron and Kyrie were... LeBron and Kyrie's failure to produce and in LeBron's case, getting roasted in a head to head matchup with Green had nothing to do with coaching. It was poor elementary basketball execution by the players, and at times, embarrassingly poor effort on both of their parts...

Question: If you're Dan Gilbert, do you retain Lue for next season or start looking for another coach?
Does it matter if LeBron is going to refuse coaching?

The problem with the Cavs is that they are so over the Cap until it is almost impossible for them to make moves.

Love is a valuable asset but he is a piece that you want to keep because of his scoring. Problem is trying to dump Thompsons contact. No one is wants his contract

Jalen said last night the the cavs had the lowest defensive rating of any team in the playoffs..so out of 16 teams they 16...i don't care who they played their defense has been horrible and wasn't going to matter..

Thompson contract is one of the stupidest contract I've ever seen; but player get your money

Yep... and frankly, as much as Love needs to be better, his production fall off is more of a product of being used incorrectly than him being a 'bum'. That's why I've always said, the 'LeBron' makes everybody around him better is one of the most over used, and incorrect statements made... Who exactly has he made better? I see a ball dominant player who pads the stat sheet, but honestly doesn't adapt to promote team growth and improvement. With his style of play and ball dominance, sure he's going to have nice 'stats', but others around him suffer. That's why Bosh himself warned Love about what to expect playing with LeBron...

So essentially, do you believe from top to bottom they are overrated?

I don't know how he thought he was replacing Bosh. Bosh could defend. Whatever Love gives you on offense, he's giving right back when he has to play defense. He's already been an over-rated stat chasing on garbage teams. He's statistically been one of the worst paint defender of all time.. that's factual. You don't win titles with multiple starters who are the worst defenders at their position. You can hide one (sometimes) but not two..especially against the well-balanced teams that come out of the west.
Bron fucked up. Bosh could play all three front court positions. That Wade, LBJ, Bosh combo was a nightmare to match up against. Each player could play at least 2 positions. The Cavs are fucked. Lebron and TT are the only two player capable of playing more than one position offensively and defensively. That lack of versatility and defensive liability is killing them. Lue is struggling to find lineups that work.

Tristan Thompson can play more than one position offensively?!?!? Ok...

Ive always said they are overrated; they have never matched up well with GS; I never fell for the trap of them; so what they swept ATL and Det; Teams probably wouldnt even made the playoffs if they played in the west; So what that they had Love and Irving; It was gonna matter because of how they play defense and offense; I have asked this a 100 times with no answer; whats the difference in the way the Cavs are playing now(in playoffs) as oppose to the reg season; no one would answer that; because they not playing any different..its just people believe in hype instead of substance...

They never answer that question though....

As a power forward > offensive rebound and put it back in.
As a center > offensive rebound and put it back in.

That is Tristan Thompson's offense. Offensive rebound and put it back in. He can do it from the 4. He can do it from the 5. Lebron can play the 4 when he is in the middle.

:hmm:

Didn't say he did... I said, he wasn't the biggest reason Cleveland got their ass beat... Regardless of what he did or didn't do, they were only down 8 when he left the game... With LeBron and Kyrie on the court WITHOUT Love, GS ran away from them motherfuckers though... But Dudes conveniently stay bitching about Love, when LeBron and Kyrie were the biggest reason the Cavs got their asses kicked the way they did...

GS was already in the midst of pulling away when that concussion happened lol

Listen they damn near caught a 40 burger... Been riding hide all playoffs in the ECF and now they going up against real comp and getting sautéed smh

If the cavs were in the west as presently constructed they would've been bounced in the 1st or 2nd straight up

@MonkeyBizness tried to help you out. I'll try to make it clearer using his previous example.

What position does Love play? What position does Green play? Now ask yourself why they aren't matched up against each other when Love has to play defense.
Now, ask yourself, can Love defend the center? Nope. So is he supposed to defend Barnes or Iggy? He can't defend the SF position either. That's why they the defense looks like musical chairs...between Irving and Love, it's too much.

All that being said bruh... they were STILL only down 8 when Love left the game... anything that happened after he left was not on him, it was on the motherfuckers on the court.. They stretched that lead another 25 points with Love chilling!

It wouldn't be bad if the Cavs were competitive... Now ALL OF A SUDDEN Niggas talking about they trash, etc., yet two weeks ago Dudes were swinging from their nuts like Mighty Joe Young and shit! Check out all the pre-series analysis in this thread... RoadRage went full Colin Powell all last week and shit!

Lets try this again.... WHEN LOVE LEFT THE GAME, THE CAVS WERE DOWN EIGHT POINTS!!! EIGHT POINTS!!!!! AFTER HE LEFT THE GAME THE WARRIORS WENT ON THEIR GAME WINNING RUN AND STRETCHED THE LEAD TO 33 POINTS!?!?! All that other shit you are writing doesn't mean shit in the CONTEXT OF LAST NIGHTS GAME which is what my post is referring too.. Unless somebody can some how prove that Love was somehow responsible for that ass whipping from the locker room, all that other shit is irrelevant... Also, all that position shit is plea coppin... Now, Green is the prototypical 4, on the block, and has some sort of physical advantage over LeBron!?!?!? Stop it man, LeBron's ass was lazy as fuck and got roasted like a son of a bitch last night point blank. All that other shit is plea copping real rap!

Man I ain't fall for the cavs bait.. I've been saying since the first round the cavs were faking the funk

Lets try this again.... WHEN LOVE LEFT THE GAME, THE CAVS WERE DOWN EIGHT POINTS!!! EIGHT POINTS!!!!!

Your argument consists of "he was on the bench to avoid the washing". However, his +- was on at a higher pace than all the other startups up until the point he got hurt.

Am I wrong... were they down eight when he came out, and did they lose by 33, yes or no?

There are multiple arguments I've made, and all of them point to the fact that... LeBron and Kyrie were more responsible for the Cavs ass whipping last night than Love... All I'm saying is, if I'm wrong prove it?!?!

Your entire argument is Love isn't responsible for the 4th quarter when he didn't play. No shit. You aren't responsible for it either, you weren't on the floor. But when he is on the floor, he's consistently a defensive liability. He avoided the washing by getting hurt..nothing more. Your argument is meaningless.

This is what Lebron wanted though.. so that what he's getting, two max players that can't play defense so he's on a squad (again) that's getting overwhelmed from everyone.
