Game Of Thrones: The Sopranos with swords or Dynasty in chainmail?

I was disappointed to be honest

We learning alot but I like the fuckin action

I really like when Bran is in the episode

How the fuck the Hound his whole cult get killed off smh fuck he chopping wood n weeds when he knew those dudes was coming back

That stabbing was off the hook tho

He was in his own little world.
Killed the whole clan though. Nobody was spared smh. He knew what was coming and tried to told them but that peace shit don't really work in real life when other folks don't subscribe to it.

Who is the little Mormont girl, and who was her mother? They said her mother died for Robb Stark

So after a re-watch, a lot of small but meaningful shit really happened in this episode, but it's still a setup episode for several major conflicts

  1. The re-introduction of the Sandor Clegane. Handled a bit differently from the book, but the end leaves no doubt that the hound is back and is going to get quite violent with the Brotherhood without Banners (or the Brave Companions) Side note: I'm a little disappointed that we didn't get Septim Maribald's speech about the effects of war, but oh well.

  2. Margary is a player again. Does the High Septom believe in her act? I think it comes down to whether you believe he's a true believer or is playing an act as well. If he's a true believer then he's got to believe that other people can become believers as well. If he's not then he'd never trust anyone. I think he's using the principle of Trust, but Verify (hence the presence of Septa Unella with Margary)

  3. Jon Snow will be a world class statesman if he survives the ending. He's spent probably 50% of his screen time winning people over to one cause or another. You can see how he looks at Sansa when she tries to play the "Loyal Bannerman" card. She's still got some learning to do.

  4. Cersei has been told to her face by just about everyone how stupid she is. And she still doesn't learn anything. She's still dangerous but her status as a major player is on short time.

  5. Riverrun scene with Jamie and the Blackfish played out almost exactly like the book (with Bron replaces some misc Lannister cousin). However, I don't think it will come to actual battle. Brienne/Jamie reunion will be interesting though.

  6. House Mormont has no cut cards. The little lady is an OG in the making. Considering how hard Lord Commander Mormont was, how hard Jorah Mormont still is, I believe she is not making an idle boasts about her men being worth 10 other men.

  7. Davos is the voice of the people with a title. He speaks the hard truth when needed but is steadfast and loyal to his team.

  8. Theon gets the Iron Island version of Therapy from Sister. Apparently it also doubles as a drinking game. I'm actually glad that they are taking their time with Theon redemption plan. He was a completely broken no dick MFer so it shouldn't be an easy process.

  9. Sansa plays her LittleFinger card. Which kind of negates all the tough shit she talked 2 episodes back in Moletown. Littlefinger gonna get his.

  10. As other people have pointed out the Arya scenes made little sense. She's got to know that the faceless men weren't going to just let her go easy. So I expect some sort of trick reveal next episode. What were shown is probably not what happened exactly. We still haven't seen the scene where Arya appears to be jumping off a balcony that they've been teasing all season. Doesn't seem like she'd be able to do that if she was stabbed up like that. Sidenote: I'm not buying the Tyler Durden theory from Reddit. It doesn't pass the Occam's razor test to me.

So next 2 weeks. We got Waif vs Arya round 2. Brienne vs Jamie vs Blackfish, Cersei and Mountain vs High Septon. Potentially, Team Stark starts their attack on Winterfell. Then you got Dany back in Mereen along with Theon and Yara Should be a wild ride.

I'm thinkin LF. His plan is starting to look more and more clear. He brings Sansa to the Eyrie long enough for Sweetrobin to become really fond of her, then sends her to Ramsay where he knows that she will be brutalized. This way, he has a compelling reason to get Sweetrobin (Lord of the Vale) to call banners and ride north. He never would have gotten them to ride north otherwise. And now that Sansa and Jon are outnumbered, Littlefinger looks like a hero and now has leverage to ask for something significant in exchange for the strength of the Vale on Sansa's side. I suspect he has something else going on in the north that we don't know yet, also.

I still haven't figured out his endgame, though. Why does he need the North? Does he plan to take the Riverlands next? Then the Westerlands?

All of the above.

"Chaos is a Ladder." - Littlefinger

"He would see all of Westeros burn... if he could be King of the Ashes" - Lord Varys

My theory is...
Baelish knows that he cannot inherit the Iron Throne directly, nor take it by force (yet). :smh:

But if he CAN control (most of) the 7 surrounding areas... eventually he can take over the Throne itself by force.

The 7 Kingdoms of Westeros include:

- The North, ruled by House Stark at Winterfell.
- The Riverlands, ruled by House Tully at Rivverrun.
- The Vale, ruled by House Arryn at the Eyrie.
- The Westernlands, ruled by House Lannister at Kings Landing.
- The Stormlands, ruled by House Baratheon at Storms End.
- The Reach, ruled by House Tyrell at Highgarden.
- Dorne, ruled by House Martell at Sunspear.

After Renly Baratheon died, Littlefinger went to Harrenhal (in Season 2, when Arya was posing as Tywin's kitchen servant) and suggested that the Lannisters form an alliance with the Tyrells in order to get their money, resources & soldiers to fight Stannis Baratheon at the Battle of Blackwater.

After winning the battle with the help of the Tyrells... King Joffrey gave Littlefinger the Title of ‘Lord of Harrenhal’, which gave Littlefinger 'partial control' of the Riverlands... but also in turn… made him a ‘High Lord’.... who was now ‘eligible’ to marry Lysa Arryn.

Then Tywin Lannister arranged his marriage to Lysa Arryn, which gave him control of the Vale.

So by now....

He already controls the Vale... plus a LARGE CHUNK of the Riverlands….and has ‘planted the seeds’ toward taking over Highgarden by conspiring with Lady Olenna to kill Joffrey…. so if a 'civil war' ever breaks out between the Faith Militant + the common people vs. the Tyrells… best believe Littlefinger will most likely use Joffrey’s death as ‘leverage’ against Lady Olenna amidst 'the chaos'… to gain control of some portion (or maybe all of) of Highgarden.

Plus Sansa does not know that Cersei promised to name him ‘Warden of the North’ if Littlefinger defeats the Boltons. :smh:

The way things are going... pretty soon Littlefinger might possibly control at least 3 or 4 of the 7 Kingdoms... either through ‘direct title’ or stewardship.

If he can successfully control The North, The Vale, The Riverlands & The Reach… That MIGHT BE... just enough.... to make a move on the Iron Throne. :dunno:

- Because the Baratheon’s are wiped out… so there’s nobody at Storm’s End to stop him from taking that whole area over. :smh:
- And Dorne is too far away to stop him….. if he sent an Army to Kings Landing. :smh:

However, at the end of the day.... I don’t think Littlefinger wants to (literally) sit on the Iron Throne himself. :smh:

Instead, I think he wants to rule Westeros from ‘behind the scenes’…. so he can pull all the ‘levers of power’…. without exposing himself to any risk.

Like Tywin Lannister.

Therefore, he needs someone he can truly ‘manipulate’ to be the actual King........................... or Queen.

Someone like…. Robyn, or Sansa.

THAT’s Littlefinger's endgame, imo.

Dam. Swarenger made a fucking cameo and bounced. Woulda never guessed he would sign up for a one and done.
I didn't read the books, and it's hard to keep track of all the secondary story lines...But is his character one of those swordsmen who can die can and come back to life a la Jon Snow?...If no, what was the point of that whole rag-tag hippie commune?...Just to set up the return of the Hound?

I think that was exactly what his role was. If he doesn't die the way he does, the hound stays chopping wood.

Now he's hungry for chicken again.

Not a book head either.. Im guessing it was to show his journey.. How he survived, changed, and then went back to the dark side.

I mean, nobody ever could provide any feasible explanation as to how blind Arya and the Waif could get into a full-on bo staff fight right in the middle of the street and no one notices.

This also means that Arya is probably not really bleeding.

That's normal for these types of reveals, if true. The people nearby just think the person whom is obviously alone is crazy and they avoid them. Is it really far fetched in the world of GoT to have a supposedly crazy person acting crazy in the street and to be avoided by everyone else?

Damn, queen of thorns spit that shit to make your soul burn slow to Cersi.

I really wish Sansaa would shut the fuck up! Unless you're Tony Stark, no one in the North should give a fuck.

Arya, you mean to tell me you grab Needle but walk around town without it. Wtf did you expect once you failed your mission. My theory: Arya actually dies and the Waif takes her face and becomes pseudo-Arya. A Stark & an assassin.

Yara, you stone cold freak! First letting Theon, your brother, feel up on you. And now you relaxing at the Volantis Vagina getting your groove back. I see you. Felt kinda bad for theon though.

Ian McShane. Couldn't last more than 1 hour. Damn.

Edit: Ok, one last minor thing. Anyone peep how the intro music didn't come in until after the Hound was reintroduced? Usually, it storms in right after the HBO splash screen.

The Queen of Thorns is the shit. Her and Lady Mormont make me hate Sansa's soft ass even more. In that world you need to be strong as hell to survive and Sansa is stumbling by with dumb luck.

The Hound is about to slaughter everybody. I really love the build ups on this show since we are nearing the end. Can't wait to see how it all ends with the White Walkers.

And that Arya theory. :eek2:

Interesting. I would be kind of unsatisfied if this were to happen, but still entertained.

Yes. This is only the second time in the entire series an episode started this way. When asked, the director said he thought it would be a better reveal of the Hound instead of having eagle eyed viewers see the actor's name in the credits before starting the episode.

Just like any other reformed ho, get fucking religion and no longer wants to give up the ass :smh:
Running big time game on lil Tommen.

He don't even realize he the king and can get azz anywhere anytime he want.

That was the stupidest shit ever. She's standing there looking at the damn scenery when literally anyone in the city could have been the waif in disguise.

Yeah...did not understand her scenes at all.
If this is not a trick...GRRM is likely somewheres shakin his head.

Anyone else thinking that if Yara is throwing a party you know it's gonna be lit.

I can see why she popular among the ironborn. First place she take you before it gets hot is to take you to get some azz.

It's like... you feel bad for theon cuz what he went through was SO horrific. But then you have to stop yourself and remember why he's in the spot to begin with.
