Aries Spears comes off as a hater at times. Why is he shitting on other black men in public anyway?
Especially to that Vlad dude.
i don't see a difference.. you could make that same description for the wayans considering they were VERY popular with cacsLol I hear you bro....
That mo money skit is authentic as fuck... with comedic embellishment of course.
The key and peele joint was cool, it sounds like they are trying to sound like xyz, which to me comes across as either terrible acting lol or pandering to the "white" perspective of how brothers sound.
I'm not saying they weren't popular with cacs, I'm just saying that one seems more authentic with verbal and body language as far as these skits are concerned.i don't see a difference.. you could make that same description for the wayans considering they were VERY popular with cacs
No.By that logic stop using U.S. currency because in essence that is white supremacy!!!
I am not talking about their currency I am talking about the economic system as a whole... This system is at the heart of white supremacy, and if you are to take them down another system would have to be replaced in order to keep the world as it is... This is what gives them power, due to their enemies being afraid to live with out this system...No.
I will use it because there is no other form of exchange within the economic system. There is nothing that i can compensate it with while living in Amerikkka. But this ... Of course, yes!
There are plenty of blacks who watch them, your core sample is just way too small...I have to say, he's 100% on point. I don't know any black people who watch their show. I was notified of them when they appeared on Fargo through white people.
From Eddie to Chris Tucker to Dave to Kevin Hart
has a black comedian ever come from them?

People like you?
That explains a lot.
Who you know is not all there is.... If so you think so then you really need to expand your horizons...People like you?
That explains a lot.
I don't know where the hate is from but K&P are funny as hell.I have to say, he's 100% on point. I don't know any black people who watch their show. I was notified of them when they appeared on Fargo through white people.

here's the issue with this assessment that bugs me. Its arbitrary. Its an exaggeration of how young black males are perceived to act like. A caricature is a caricature what does authenticity have to do with it?I'm not saying they weren't popular with cacs, I'm just saying that one seems more authentic with verbal and body language as far as these skits are concerned.
Using the two videos you shared, the mo money skit was very real as far as what I have seen and experienced in "urban" lol communities.
Not EVERY single individual of course.
NYC, Cali, DC, Chicago, ATL and more all have very distinct ways they communicate and Key and Peele have not translated who they are exactly emulating. This is why they're skit remind me of how cacs try to act like us. Nothing authentic or culturally reminiscent of a particular area, group, or region.
They just sound like " yo, I be like hey what it do son whoday play boi doggy son... nigga"
Respect to them and their grind. No hate.
when the wayans do it its classic...
but when K&P do it theyre sell outs?
I hear you. I said respect to them and their grind because I have no reason not appreciate them for their talent and success as brothers in general. If I felt a real way about them in regards to not being real black men, I would express that with no hesitation.here's the issue with this assessment that bugs me. Its arbitrary. Its an exaggeration of how young black males are perceived to act like. A caricature is a caricature what does authenticity have to do with it?
And then there's the faux supportive statements: Respect to them and their grind. No hate. Aries and Russell makes similar statements then turns around and literally calls them fake black men and that their success is due to white support not black (as if they speak for all blacks) which is not a good thing culturally speaking and that's contradictory to the "respect" they supposedly give and that translates to hate. That's why people can say about Aries assessment thats its hate because they can sniff out the contradiction in it.
A black man saying another black man is fake in his blackness is the epitome of disrespect.
For me, Aries hit it on the head (6:00) how I see these two comedians. That's coming from someone who worked with them on a TV show (MadTV)
The funniest skit I've seen is an episode where dude was laughing hard as shit, but no sound was coming out of his mouth. Mouth closed laughing, jumping around n shit lol. His friends were like... wtf. I would link it here if I knew how to.I've never seen any of their shit. I need to hit youtube to see what the noise is all about.
They have some funny skits, this shit reminds me of a few BGOL members when they get caught fucking up..I've never seen any of their shit. I need to hit youtube to see what the noise is all about.
It's because their comedy isn't for us, it's for white people.
comedy isn't geared towards race, it's geared towards experiences. not all black people have the same experiences. no racial group does. your comment would've made more sense had you said 'it's for broke people' or 'it's for older people' or 'it's for rich people'.
you're gonna deny yourself a lot of different experiences in life because you'll limit yourself by saying 'oh, that's for white people. can't try it/do it/experience it' and 'oh, that's for Asian people' or 'oh, that's for Mexican people', etc.
