the good news is that we will see if they have heart or not. every single game is for their season. the thunder have simply played harder than them
that's been the difference in the series.
no more excuses every single game is for their season lets see what they can do

let the record show i was here.

and now im back to work on civil wars.

Wait...you doing a Civil Wars for the playoffs? If so, should be very entertaining.

They're playing hard. Donovan is playing this series how Pop played that second game w/ Diaw: lots of switching & they're playing the ball and cutters aggressively. GSW just getting beat right now. He's showing some chops in this series...the small lineup, the defensive rotations, Donovan is showing he's a great coach. OKC has long athletic defenders with Roberson on the floor & it's a problem. The refs let GSW play aggressive when they went on that run in game 2, Adams was in foul trouble, & the Thunder lost their composure and was blown out. They've adjusted well to that. Tonight on Klay's run, they got some cheap touch fouls called on them that weren't getting called on their end and they maintained a level head and stayed the course. When the lead went down to 4 in the first half, they answered. Same in the second half...they're gonna need that composure in Oakland.

Ol... I got $50 on tails and $50 on heads ass nigga.

Dinners ready...

Did you read the article on espn today about Westbrook? He talked about composure. He said he sat down and watched all his technicals from last season and came to the epiphany that the refs is not going to change the fucking call after he's made it so there is nothing to game from arguing it.

I know I am late to the party, but if OKC beat the Warriors next game, then I may low key root for Toronto just because I want to see a double upset. I didn't see the game, but I am sure Westbrook did his thing and maybe that team found a way to contain Curry & co. I wonder if the ratings would be negatively affected should the Finals be OKC vs. Toronto?

Kerr got these niggas playing gimmick ball that's their problem...

Leaving mofos like Roberson open..

Just play defense and let it turn into offense.. No bail out 3s unless they are wide open..

Steph has to start putting pressure on OKC defense and driving to the lane.. Take the fuckin contact

Nah, I need to check it out. I didn't like how he was clowning against the Mavs, but the last two rounds...he's done a 180 and has hit a level of focus we've never seen from him. He's made a believer of me. He doesn't need to be a "traditional" PG, he needs to play his game to the fullest. Limit the mistakes and he's a fucking problem. You can see he's learned from the tape.

Are they really good defenders though? The gimmick is their offense. This is Mike D'Antoni's system. I'm willing to let Roberson jack up 3s. That contact is a bitch. I was talking to a fringe player today that was in Portland, telling us about Russ...dude was like defending Russ is an enormous task because he plays so physical it takes a toll on you. Dame will only guard him in spurts because he wears you out...he has wild swings on shots, he barrels into your chest on drives, & he plays at such a high tempo without letting up. OKC forcing Curry to guard him is a brilliant plan. Let's see if GSW adjusts.

Yea at this point in pulling for Toronto too. I wanna see my boy kd get a ring. Cuz as good as okc is playing now something about Lebron deads all that shit 4 them

This is not a tough 3-1 deficit. It would have been tough if Golden State had to go on the road but the next game is at home.

Why not?

That's millions right there just from all of Canada

And OKC is the American Dream

Nobody outside of Toronto Metro wants to watch the Raptors and last time I looked OKC ranked 27 out of 30 in market size...... Your casual basketball fan will watch Golden State or Cleveland which equals ratings and more money..... I would put money up that OKC versus Toronto would be one of the lowest rated NBA finals in history.

The Raptors game 7 vs the Heat had less viewers then a Pittsburgh vs Washington Capitals hockey game....

What’s pretty incredible, but not really surprising, is that the Raptors still can’t seem to top hockey for the life of them. Their game against the Heat on Saturday, May 7 barely cracked the million viewer mark, but a Penguins-Capitals game that aired on the same night drew over 1.6 million viewers.

What I tell ya'll...

They just keeping changing the narrative to fit their agenda...

see how all of a sudden KD aint the good mams's boy anymore?

KD supposedly been grouchy and surly?

What he f*ck that mean?

Now its ALL Donovan's plan?

Westbrook just needed somebody to rein him in?

Yesterday Lowry had mental problems..now he is a top 5 player?

"I was told there was nothing left; no reason, no conscience, no understanding; and not even the most rudimentary sense of life or death, of good or evil, right or wrong." -- Dr. Sam Loomis

Is that a Dr. Sam Loomis description of KD or Westbrook or Michael Myers or all three. KD and Westbrook are just attacking, and attacking, and attacking. They keep coming. No matter what. They attack. Westbrook is relentless. And although KD don't take it to the hole like that, he gives a fuck. He will keep firing that J.

KD and Westbrook might have turned into the horror show they should have been years ago.

Come on man. Bills been on here for years trying to get Brooks fired. Stop looking for things when there isn't really anything there. Shit, I remember threads where Bills, myself and others talked about how Brooks was Mike Browning them.

My thing was KD needed a coach to stick up for him because Westbrook was taking over. Bills had a different take. We all agreed they needed a new coach for the next level.

But is Donovan really THIS good?

Did you predict that?

Cause I sure in hell didn't.

Kerr is asking a lot from Draymond to bang with those 7 footers all game throughout the series. Festus is clearly not in game shape coming back from a late season injury. Bogut is trash. Unfortunately I don't think there is anything Golden State can do about the rebounding and size of OKC. To think, if GS is to win this series Draymond has to bang down low for 3 straight games. I think that shit is beginning to wear him down. Klay saved their ass from another 40 slaughter last night.

The role plays of GS have been getting out played as well. They finally got a decent game from "no 60 mill" Barnes. Livingston is meh, Barbosa is in Brazil somewhere, Iggy is decent but not expecting him to explode in scoring.

I don't know. I guess what I am seeing from GS is that certain player are weaker minded than I thought. Barnes is one of them (UNC days). These pieces need to work right for GS to get their mojo back. Curry is being defended well, so his slumping is not surprising. Those contested shots he was taking during the season is only going to get more difficult. His defense is what we expected it to be as well. Unless Kerr has something up his sleeves, I'm not seeing where any adjustments can be made other than the Warriors playing harder. They must match that intensity. Problem with that is the most intense player on the floor plays for OKC. So the harder golden state plays, the harder Westbrrok plays.

Props to Donavon. He is coaching his ass off out there. I'm very impressed so far. I expect GS to come out with a lot of intensity, but every shot counts now.

Only thing Toronto has done was hold home court but they ain't upsetting shit. Cleveland has not gotten blown out like GS has.

We know KD and Westbrook are THIS good. All Donovan had to do was get this shit under control. It's a hard job, but it's a hard job most coaches would love to have. They are considered two of the best five players on the planet by some. That's Shaq/Kobe and Jordan/Pippen type shit.

Nice breakdown. Adjustments are so important, but so are players doing what they are supposed to do.

I didn't and I'm surprised. But in truth, he did well as a college coach and OKC is a college like team. Plus, the players trust him and Donovan has trust in his system. How many coaches would have tried to match the small ball to beat the Warriors? He didn't trick himself. Stuck to what he felt like was best for this team to be successful. Good rotations, calls timely timeouts, and has his players confidence level way up. Roberson averaging over 10 a game is impressive in this series.

Yeah, and the role players are not there for GS like they have been all season long. So basically is KD/Westbrook vs. Curry/Klay and right now OKC goons are much more down for the cause. GS is going to need one of the roles to show up big. But who?
