Game Of Thrones: The Sopranos with swords or Dynasty in chainmail?

don't read my post if you haven't watched the leaked ep yet...

in this ep I was wondering why the wargs were a threat to the ice king dude until the hodor scene...but it looks like the most powerful of wargs can see not just the past but the future as well and can take protective measures against it...was "hodor's" mind "locked" all those years? (apparently yes)...but who did it (I'm guessing the dude in the tree since he knew about it) and most importantly when? I'm also wondering if they can alter the past as someone alluded to in here...gotta watch that scene again

*edit*

ok I just realized bran warged into hodor in the past...this just became a major mindfuck...so an unborn bran is the reason for "hodor's" condition all these years...wild shit...so he can def go back into the past and alter shit...the crazy shit is the changes are already in effect...so he's not really changing things because he already did??????

I think it happened in real time.
While bran was in the past he fucked with hodors mind.
It was basically meant to be.
Since it technically happened in the past we always saw hodor that way.
It was just now revealed to us how it happened.

ya but it's not as neat as that and quite convoluted w/ a past (w/ an unborn bran) being influenced by present day bran as well as present day events (hodor's "speech" for most of his life being influenced by that one moment in the present when the chic tells him to "hold the door")...shit was wild tho...watching it for a 3rd time

I guess Euron Greyjoy has been lurking on BGOL ....

Yall are arguing book vs show. In the books, she's not immune to fire. Not at all. The show deviated from the book. It's clear she's immune to fire in the show, UNLESS they show us otherwise on Sunday.

At this point, It would be poor writing on behalf of the show to suddenly make her no longer immune to fire just to satisfy some whiny book readers lol since she walks through infernos as easily as the air itself. There's no turning back once the show deviates from the books.

Agreed, but the show subtly alluded to her immunity to fire very early.

In Season 1, episode 1 before Dany was sold to Drogo, the scene makes it a point to show Dany entering a boiling hot water bath without flinching.

Yea, we're on the same page regarding the show. I was replying to @MonkeyBizness (post #10988) who mentioned she's not immune (books version) to fire as if that correlates to whats in the show. Its obvious she's immune to fire on the show, which only partially follows the books.

To the people who keep saying she is immune to fire.

It seems that, in the TV show, Dany is completely and reliably immune from fire. However, in George R.R. Martin's source novels, the situation appears to be different. Interestingly and unusually, in this case, the show has decided to play up a magic-related element from the books, rather than watering it down.

At the end of the first book in the series, A Game of Thrones, Dany walks into Khal Drogo's funeral pyre and emerges unharmed with three newly hatched dragons, just like we saw on the TV show. (Well, almost — her hair burned off in the books, but the show didn't want to make Emilia Clarke go bald.) There is quite obviously magic at play, and Dany accordingly adopts "The Unburnt" as one of her many honorific titles.

Yet in various interviews and discussions with fans since then, Martin has attempted to dispel what he has called the "common misconception" that Targaryens are immune to fire. Years ago, he described what happened to Dany as "unique, magical, wondrous, a miracle," but said it "probably" wouldn't happen to her again, and stressed that many other Targaryens have burnt to death."

I wonder if yara will take her uncle's idea and seek dany out? I'm mad that nigga said hey let's build some ships from scratch and catch up to them  but w/ yara's ships and perhaps her knowledge of building them (and dany has enough ppl to build a fleet once they learn how)...she could be dany's link to westeros

Hmm Nuther stray thought as I re-watch tonights episode:

Is this really about faith and religious beliefs?

Which of westeros big 3 is the true faith?

A man is throwing his hat in the ring for the Many Faced God.
The followers of the My Faced God are the only ones who don't outright dismiss the other faiths. In fact they believed that all the other faiths are somewhat real, but just misguided by not seeing that all their Gods are just different names of the Many Faced God.

Holy shit, the end was on some looper shit, bran didn't alter the past, so much as him just being a cog in the wheel. Damn:eek2:

Stage actress had some nice tits tho...

Little finger always steps ahead again

Is Arya gonna turn her back on the assassin path?

Dany's becoming forgiving.

Sansa'so finally bossing up.

The greyjoys are gonna have civil war?

That other red priestess sexy tho

So Dany is gonna get all the ships she needs for her Dothraki + Unsullied Army to cross over to Kings Landing...... from Euron Greyjoy. :smh:

Wonder how she gonna outsmart this crazy nucca and take his ships? :dunno:

What a satisfying episode. RIP to Hodor and Summer (damn dire wolves dying left and right)
Man I want to punch Bran dead in his fuckin' chest. I hate him more right now than I ever hated Joffrey. He just couldn't listen to the old man. All he had to do was go sit his ass down somewhere (literally--he's fucking paralyzed!). But noooo...he had to go and fuck it up for everybody!

That being said, great fucking episode. :hmm:

Is the actor that played Euron related to Theon in real life? Dude had similar looks, mannerisms and speech pattern as the actor that plays Theon.

just looked him up...doesn't seem to be...I guess when he auditioned...him looking like theon was part of the appeal of casting him...wouldn't be hard for him to study/mimic the actor's mannerisms...but I def shared the same thought

Nah, as the ending showed, it was already fated to happen.
