Game Of Thrones: The Sopranos with swords or Dynasty in chainmail?

Well well. I actually thought they would burn his body, then he would walk out the flames alive.

I'm glad Snow is back..which we all thought would happen. But I agree..I thought they were gonna attempt to burn his body and he would be resurrected by the flames revealing that he is a Targaryn in the process. Damn that would have been some gangsta shit!

Shhhhhh!!!! Don t go there yet.....next time i say this....punch me in the face

I feel like I'm the only one feelin something is off this season so far. It's like nothing that's happen so far was a surprise. It's good to see everyone back but it just seems like the writing is trying to satisfy the fanboy element and it's all happening too fast. It may just be a product of them trying to wrap this up in the next couple of seasons or the writers no longer have source material to write off of but it just seems like it's all over the place.
The writing is all over the place?? :dunno:
Ummm.... I completely Disagree. :smh:

This episode tells me that the writers know EXACTLY what they are doing.

They are satisfying all of the 'fan expectations' early (like bringing Jon Snow back) so that by the time Episodes 8, 9 & 10 roll around... they are going to drop all the 'unexpected' shit, (that nobody sees coming ) and bring it home to wrap up the season.

The last 3 episodes of the season are always the CLIMAX.

- Remember 'The Red Wedding' in season 3, episode 9?
- Remember 'The Mountain vs The Viper' in season 4, episode 8?
- Remember 'Battle of Castle Black' in season 4, episode 9?
- Remember 'Hardhome' in season 5, episode 8?

They just getting everything else out the way (early) so they can deliver the goods.... like they do every season.

Trust, George RR Martin puts his 'stamp of approval' on EVERYTHING about this show.
They are not making these episodes without his input whatsoever. :smh:

He's coaching them 2 showrunner dudes. Please believe.

In the preview of next week's episode, who are those guys fighting on that mountain?? ("Now it begins..." / "Now it ends.") .... Who are those guys, and what is that scene about?

That's Bran having a flashback about 'The Tower of Joy' - the place where Rhaegar Targaryen allegedly kidnapped & held Lyanna Stark, (Ned's sister who was riding the horse) at the start of King Robert's Rebellion.

Ned Stark & a few of his buddies went to the tower to rescue his sister, where she was being guarded / held hostage by Targaryen soldiers. (Those are the guys in silver armor, who say: 'now it begins, now it ends')

All these flashbacks are probably leading up to revealing who Jon Snow's mother actually was.

Nobody knows for certain who she was. :dunno:
But there are 'clues' everywhere.

We think that's a flashback to the Raid on the Tower of Joy scene. A young Ned Stark vs Rhaegar Targaryen's troops

So if you can bring people back to life why haven't kings been using this magic? This is some cheat code shit, if he dies again is she going to bring him back to life?

Only the priests and priestesses who worship the Red God are able to resurrect people. Besides, they're from Essos, not Westeros. In Westeros, they have other religions, like the 7 Gods the Faith Militant worship.

Bringing back people from the dead would have every king and rich guy converting to the lord of light religion.

Thanks, bro...That's the context I was missing.

Word..the only other red god priest ive noticed in the show is thoros of myhr running with the "brothers without banners" who raised baric dondarrion over 6 times.

If you recall season 3 the red woman was talkinbg to the dude who joined the brothers without banners and she revealed his job was to convert the king (robert baratheon) to the god of light but he choose wine.

The Lannisters taking some big losses even if Cersei gets her revenge, the house of Lannister is very weak. I wished Brother numpsie (Tywin) was still alive, no way the sparrow would be pulling this shit, not saying he would not be taking some losses, but he definitely would be so easily outsmarted by the sparrow

Awesome episode. Ramsey true definition of sociopath damn man. Euron might be giving him a run for his money though. Two brothers killing their brothers in one night on GOT. lol yup back to basics. Hope they get Arya's story going finally.
Great to also see Bran's story moving forward. 2 episodes in and this show is killing it.

But remember that Beric said it always took something out of him each time he was resurrected. I wonder how Jon will be affected.

Classic ending! Ayra about to be in her ninja shit!!! If all the Starks gain power in some form, then things will get very interesting. House Stark looking beast right now.

Not quite. Rickon is still missing, and rumor is he is a the "gift" being brought to Ramsay in next week's episode.

A lot of rumor and theories. For the most part they look strong right now. That one kid doesn't fault the 4 who are making moves. That is not to say they will continue that way. But, for now their looking up.

If you remember from season 2, they already let you know it was possible when the Red priest Thoros brought Beric Dondarion back to life several times. Even Thoros doesn't know why it work which is why Melisandre says "It should not be possible".

In the books it's theorized that the ability to do "powerful magic" is tied to the presence of Dragons in the World which was signified by the arrival of a Red Comet. Under "The Light" of the comet, The priests of the god of light have more power than usual.
