The Philadelphia Eagles have been informed that quarterback Sam Bradford wants to be traded and will not be showing up for their offseason program any longer, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Bradford is upset at the Eagles' trade last week for the No. 2 overall pick to draft a quarterback.

Bradford, who re-signed with the Eagles earlier this offseason, "is mad and wants to show everyone who's best," a source told Schefter last week.

I saw this coming... but he will have to rework his contract, because ain't nobody dumb enough to take on that shit.... KNOWING that the Eagles will have eventually have to cut him.

I'm not a Eagles fan, but seriously... They really fucked up giving him all that guaranteed money when there wasn't even a market demand for dude yet.

I somewhat understand why Sam Bradford wants to be traded. He knows that his days as starting QB is numbered. He may be the starting QB at the beginning of the season, but should he get hurt or underperform, then the Eagles will replac him with the rookie QB. I do think he should accept the challenge and play well enough to not lose his job.

He wants to be traded

he doesn't want to be traded

he wants to be traded..

These reporters need to make up their minds and stick to one story.
And if Bradford is that big of a bitch, scared of having to outplay a rookie then he can kick rocks. If he wanted to be the unquestioned starter, he could've tested free agency and avoided signing that short term deal.

When Brees was in San Diego and they Drafted Rivers in the 1st rd.. he rose to the challenge, and started balling until he got injured and traded to New orleans. Thats the difference between a winner with a growth mindset who thrives on competition and a spoiled entitled Loser with a fixed mindset

I believe as dumb as they are the Eagles saw this coming, which is why they
went and got Daniel immediately after signing Bradford. Dude HAD to
realize he wasn't part of their long term plans, especially once it was
obvious how little value he had in the open market...

If he doesn't show, eventually they will be able to cut him, and they still
have Daniel to fall back on. He will then go to another team for less
money, and more than likely be servicable and maybe lead the right team to
the playoffs.

Dude is not 'bad' per se, but you cannot build around him for the long term.

If I was him, I would take my 22 mill guarantee, show out this season and
then hit the free agent market, but based on what he put up last season,
he's too stupid to realize he made out like a motherfucker with the
contract he signed with the Eagles....

In his defense. This isn't about competition with a rookie. There is nothing he can do now to be the long term QB in Philly..so theresis nothing to compete for. He's a placeholder, and the best case scenario is he impresses another team. Which is why i think he isn't playing this smart by demanding a trade like this.
