The corporate-approved sassiness and faux comedy that is this commercial...

... reminds me of this...

Here's the deal, folks. You do a commercial - you're off the artistic roll call, forever. End of story. Okay? You're another corporate shill. You're another whore at the captialist gang bang and if you do a commercial, there's a price on your head. Everything you say is suspect and every word that comes out of your mouth is now like a turd falling into my drink.

Thoughts?

No.

Commercials mean dollars. Artists for the most part want to get paid. Only starving artists who can't get anyone to buy into them would be so vocal at calling out their fellow artists who are making money doing commercial work.

I like Bill Hicks too, but you know what, I bet he died broke. Pretty sure his family could have used some of that commercial money, had he taken those gigs. What good is your "artistic integrity" for your family when your dead?

I don't think he had kids and I've never heard of his parents struggling, so maybe it is best to just be you and stand for what you believe when you can than to put yourself out there for every dollar on the table.
