This is proof that the entire WB leadership from the the executives all the way down to the editing department needs to be enema flushed

WB completely fucked themselves up getting rid of Jeff Robinov. He was one of the few execs out there who actually liked film and instead of the guys now that only looking at the bottom line.

‘Batman v Superman’ Deleted Scene Teases Darkseid & the New Gods

Fans usually have to wait months after a movie's release in theaters to check out the deleted scenes on the Blu-ray and DVD. But today, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice fans are getting a surprise treat. The official Warner Bros. YouTube page has posted a new video entitledCommunion, which is a deleted scene from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice that showcases more of Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor. While this scene shows how this villain was finally apprehended, it also raises new questions as well. If you haven't seen Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice yet, there will be SPOILERS below, so read on at your own risk.

In the theatrical cut, we see Lex entering the crashed Kryptonian ship where he starts to create Doomsday. But we don't see him again until after he is eventually apprehended and thrown in prison. This scene showcases a number of soldiers entering the crashed Kryptonian ship whereLex Luthor had set up shop to create Doomsday. We see these soldiers advance on Lex, who is using the Kryptonian technology to create some sort of creature, who is seen holding what appear to be Mother Boxes. This technology from Darkseid's Apokolips is also used to turn Victor Stone (Ray Fisher) into Cyborg. It's possible that this creature is actually one of the New Gods, with some speculating that it could be Steppenwolf.

Steppenwolf was created by Jack Kirby, debuting in the 1972 comic New Gods #7. Steppenwolf was one of highest-ranking generals on the planet of Apokolips, and he was actually an uncle to the nefarious Darkseid, as well as his mentor. It hasn't been confirmed if this mystery creature is actually Steppenwolf, or if we'll see more of him in Justice League Part 1, which starts production next month in the U.K. If it is Steppenwolf, though, it could open up some interesting avenues for the DCEU to explore.

Of course, Lex is eventually apprehended, so we don't know what his plans for this creature may be, or how he may or may not fit into the upcoming Justice League Part 1. It's possible that this creature could be a crude version of the iconic villain Darkseid himself, whose presence was teased in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice during one of Bruce Wayne's nightmares, where he sees a destroyed landscape with Darkseid's Omega symbol implanted in the ground. Perhaps there will be another deleted scene on the Blu-ray and DVD release that will give this mysterious sequence more context.

Last week, we reported that Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will be getting an R-rated Ultimate Edition, which will be released on July 16 and can already be pre-ordered on Amazon. We don't have many specific details for the R-rated cut yet, but director Zack Snyder recently confirmed that fans will get to see more of Jimmy Olsen. This character was played by Michael Cassidy, although he was killed off rather quickly after it was discovered that he was a CIA agent, while on assignment with Lois Lane (Amy Adams) in Africa.

It definitely isn't a common practice of studios to release deleted scenes just days after a huge movie like Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is released in theaters, but perhaps Warner Bros. is trying to shake things up a bit. We don't know if the studio intends to release more previously-unseen footage or not, but we'll have to wait and see. While we wait for more on the R-rated Ultimate Edition, check out this deleted scene below, featuring Lex Luthor.

ZACK SNYDER CONFIRMS ANOTHER BATMAN VS. SUPERMAN DARKSEID RELATED SPOILER

batman-vs-superman-darkseid.jpg

Spoilers follow for Batman Vs. Superman.

One of the Justice League cameos in Batman Vs. Superman featured Cyborg (watch it here) with Victor Stone (played by Ray Fisher) on a slab being revived and brought back to life by some sort of object.

Now it's revealed the object is a Mother Box.

"That’s the first glimpse of the Mother Box there,” director Zack Snyder told EW. “It was an agonizing birth. I really wanted to show Cyborg’s birth because I feel like he plays such a strong part coming up, and I really wanted to give a sense of him. I really want [the audience] to know how far he’s come."

In DC Comics lore, a mother box is a sentient computer that gives its user all sorts of vast powers ranging from teleportation, telekinesis, healing, energy manipulation and more. The Mother Box has been compared to a computer link to the gods and was created by the Apokoliptian scientist Himon the Artificer. In the New 52 comics, Victor Stone is injured by the energy of a Mother Box, with his father Silas using alien tech to save his son, which creates Cyborg.

The Mother Box would be at least the fourth Darkseid Easter Egg in Batman Vs. Superman as the Batman Nightmare scene featured the parademons and Darkseid omega symbol, and it's thought the new Batman Vs. Superman deleted scene features Darkseid's general, Steppenwolf.

The Batman Vs. Superman Cyborg cameo scene also features Cyborg's father, Dr. Silas Stone, a scientist at STAR Labs, played by actor Joe Morton.

Batman V Superman Deleted Scene Explained; Teases Justice League Villain
By Ben Kendrick

NOTE: The following post contains MAJOR SPOILERS for Batman V Superman

Possibly one of the most divisive films of 2016 – and easily one of the most divisive films in the comic book movie genre, Batman V Superman posted a solid opening this weekend. How exactly the film will perform in the coming weeks remains to be seen – as word-of-mouth (more than movie reviews – read our Batman V Superman review) determine whether a major film release will have legs, and continue to find success, or suffer from an enormous drop off in week two and three.

Either way, this weekend was marked with unparalleled conversation (some more vitriolic than constructive) as fans and critics speculated on everything that Dawn of Justice set up – since the movie posed a lot more questions than it ultimately answered (this round). We already dissected the Batman V Superman ending – and suggested that Lex’s warning that an unnamed “He” is “coming,” could mean he learned of the DC villain Darkseid when Lex gained access to the kryptonian archive. Now, in a deleted scene that Warner Bros. has officially released online – we have a definitive answer (albeit one that raises another round of new questions).

The deleted scene, dubbed “Communion,” can be viewed at the top of the page – and takes place after Superman, Wonder Woman, and Batman defeat Doomsday. In the scene, a Metropolis SWAT team infiltrates the kryptonian scout ship, where Lex created Doomsday, in order to arrest the LexCorp head for his malevolent misdeeds – only to walk in on Lex standing in the kryptonian birthing matrix and “communing” with a demonic looking alien creature (who is holding three boxes).

The scene might look like complete nonsense to casual viewers but to longtime fans of DC comic books, there are several intriguing hints here – which also add connective tissue to other seemingly random pieces of information that went unexplained in the film. At this point, there’s no way of knowing exactly what we are seeing here – but we canventure a few educated guesses.

LEX
Jesse-Eisenberg-Lex-Luthor-Batman-V-Superman-.jpg

As suggested in our prior ending explained post, whatever, exactly, is happening to Lex in this scene, it addresses why he is babbling to Batman about larger threats that have seen the fall of Superman – and will soon be coming to enslave Earth. Given all the hints toward Darkseid (parademons and a mother box) in the film already – it’s clear that the ruthless New God is investigating Earth and has already “corrupted” Lex (whatever that means in the DCEU remains to be seen).

In the end of the scene, Lex is seen coming out a trance-like state – setting up his rambling warning to Bruce Wayne from prison. Certain versions of Darkseid have been shown to poison the mind of people who were susceptible to his wicked ways – turning them into his puppets or, at the very least, influencing their perspective on events and the surrounding world. Given Lex’s sociopathic behavior and powerful influence, Lex would be a prime target for Darkseid’s corruption.

THE BOXES
Batman-V-Superman-Mother-Box-Cyborg.jpg

A “mother box” is responsible for the creation of Cyborg (seen earlier in the film during the Justice League montage) and given the relationship between mother boxes and Darkseid, it’s highly likely that the floating cubes seen in this scene are other examples of the advanced New Gods tech. In this context, they might be used to communicate with or otherwise alter Lex from a far-off distance – or hack the downed scout ship. It’s also possible that the boxes were in the process of being teleported to Earth – but were disrupted when the SWAT team arrived to arrest Lex (who would no longer be able to keep the mother boxes safe).

Another possibility that fans will, without a doubt raise, is the possibility that in this corner of the DCEU, fan-favorite villain Brainiac could be the byproduct of mother boxes interacting with kryptonian tech and/or A.I. It’s probably a stretch to think the actual monster here is a Brainiac construct but the networking of the mother boxes with the kryptonian ship could also have unseen ramifications. Maybe the boxes were being used to reprogram kryptonian tech in the birth matrix? It’s certainly possible.

THE DEMONIC MONSTER
Batman-Knightmare.jpg

Given that Snyder is attempting to inject DC characters, that include super-powered “New Gods,” into the same “gritty” universe he established in Man of Steel, there’s no way of knowing, with absolute certainty, the identity of the demonic-looking creature holding the mother boxes. However, the monster shares a lot of similarities to the grey-skinned demons featured in Lex’s (now-upside down) painting – suggesting his design was an intentional bridge between Lex’s warnings of demons coming from the sky to what is actually going to happen down the line.

At first glance, viewers might mistake the creature for the same winged-minions shown in the Knightmare scene – aka Darkseid’s goggled parademons; yet, the most likely identity of the monster is Yuga Khan – Darkseid’s father (who has appeared as a horned demon-like creature in the comics). That said, the character could also be a drastically re-imagined Darkseid himself or his comic book uncle, and Apokolips military leader, Steppenwolf (though both characters look very different in the source material). Fans will certainly debate the character’s true identity; but, it’s also possible the monster is just an unnamed servant of Darkseid – designed to foreshadow the supervillain’s arrival for Justice League Part 1. That said, the monster could also have been just the scout ship’s projection of Darkseid or his forces and the mother boxes from the archive (similar to how Jor-El taught Superman about Krypton’s past in Man of Steel) – rather than a live-feed of the demonic being.

Yuga Khan in DC Comics

We’ll have to wait and see but the amount of content in this deleted scene should certainly get fans excited to see what else will be revealed in the R-Rated 3 hour “Ultimate Cut” of Batman V Superman set to hit store shelves this summer – especially after Zack Snyder revealed the extended cut will also feature a slightly bigger role for Jimmy Olsen.

Yeah Zack needs to go. He's making these movies and not thinking about the casual movie fan. He is assuming that everyone knows what he knows, in terms of characters and hidden content. These scenes and hunts would be pointless to put in a movie that doesn't explain anything.
