I don't know I still give the nod to Nolan. I'm a story guy and Nolan stories kind of fit with the plot device. Except for Watchmen Snyder stuff is really out there
Snyder's great at adapting an existing body of work and translating it to film and for me, Snyder is better at this specific genre than Nolan.

Chris Nolan hit homerun with The Dark Knight, no doubt. That is probably a top 3 comic book film for me. His style is perfect for Batman, as those films were gritty and dark, almost crime thrillers starring Batman characters. Batman Begins was good, but Dark Knight Rises was weak. Very weak. Best part of DKR was Bane's quotables.

Watchmen is also in my top 3 Comic book movies of all time. Snyder filmed the "impossible"/film and stayed true (for the most part) to the book.

Watchmen was almost a continuation of what he did with 300, staying true to the story already presented and bringing his own visual style.

MOS (which I'm not a big fan of) tried too much to be a Nolan film and that's where it failed for me. It was visually impressive, but lacking in story, however, I'd rank it lower than Batman Begins but above Dark Knight Rises.

Nolan is a much better filmmaker, but Snyder is better at Comic book movies.

It feels like they held back the bad reviews and only let the good ones in first at this point.
The guy who said if you loved or enjoyed MOS you're going to like BVS. I'm not going to let reviewers or DC haters discourage me from seeing the two most iconic fictional characters in a blockbuster movie. The movie won't be perfect and outside of the first Iron Man, Winter Soldier, GOTG, and the first Avengers film Marvel films have been nothing but ok to piss poor overall.

Honestly, I was never excited about this film. The trailors looked boring. My notion about this movie/ DC cinematic universe taking itself waaayyy to seriously, was on point. Jessie whatshisface is not Lex Luthor in the slightest. Revisiting the batman origin AGAIN is fucking redundant. Personally I believe they should make a Bat vs Sups adapted from Frank Miller's Dark Knight Saga. It would make more sense. Why not have a universe where the hero's are already established?

Like I said I'm going for the comedic aspect.

I wanna see what led to the scene where Lexx said the red capes are coming.

I'm passing i knew this movie would get bad reviews..nothing really to see since seen the trailers..I'll stick to marvel films

I have a buddy who saw an advanced screening and he said it's not as bad as the reviews are making it out to be, BUT he was underwhelmed.

He said Batman was near perfect, but Lex Luthor and Superman were serious low points. He said you could tell the WB Suits took all the criticism of MoS and went the exact opposite extreme in this one, particularly with civilian deaths?

He rated it 3 out of 5 stars and won't see it again.

Does $400M buy you just OK?

I don't think it will make 300 mill...i think the reviews will kill this movie and it might be a big opening but will die quickly...

This film will already make $300 million before the end of the weekend worldwide.

BvS will push a billion worldwide off Batman and Superman alone.
Speaking strictly domestically inregards to 300mill. .and i don't think it will do a billion worldwide total either

It will make about $150 million domestically alone this weekend. It will easily breeze past $300 domestically.

When it opens in China, it will push a billion. Maybe not surpass it, but get real close.

Nah, if it opens around 150 with bad reviews it will drop dramaticallythe next few weeks..and other movies coming will also help to kill it

Even if it had a 50% drop, it would still be at $225 million and eek out $300 in a few weeks after. Civil War opens in May. What other big films open in the next few weeks that will kill BvS.

Yeah this one is going to make money it's too big not too. It hits all the demographics that matter; this isn't like Deadpool that only tracked well with a specific demo and straight up excluded the lucrative toy-tie-in demographic.

Dare I say anything less than $200M opening this weekend is a failure, specifically when Deadpool opened in fewer theaters and was rated R?

Not sure about other big films because don't know what every film, like Greek wedding, will do..bets believe it will drop more than 50%..and with continual bad reviews BvS will be dead in the states in 2 weeks watch...

It's not opening to 200 million

Bro, no offense, but you're dumb as fuck if you think this film will fail. It might be a critical failure, it will not be a financial one though.

Smh mentioned Big Fat Greek sequel too. Completely different demographic. Wow.

The movie budget is between 250-400 mill right? So what is considered a failure to the executivesof the studio?that determines failure..the last 2 spidey movies made money and were still considered failures..i don't know what failure is to the executives but u can bets believe these reviews have them on edge and that affects other DC movies down the pike

Might not make $200 million domestically, tracking around, $150-170 range. Might make $400 million worldwide though.
