{~~~Guns, Guns and Mo' Guns - The Right To Keep And Bear Arms~~~}

You know what? I'm was thinking of 922r compliance ...Concerning the VEPR 12.

I had read that of you break the weld on the folding stock it makes it non-compliant. Gotta add some US made parts to make it back compliant.

For some reason, I'on like nothing US made on any guns if it ain't a US made gun. Especially barrel, receiver, brake, fcg, sling... if it ain't an optic or bag stay the fuck away from my friends' guns

You are partially correct. If the gun is manufactured outside the US, it must meet 922r and have a minimum of 6 (i think...ill have to fact check this) US made parts. Most of the US made parts are better than the original. Some are stupid changes like the magazine baseplate, the flash hider, or part of the stock. Most people upgrade triggers and stocks anyway, the other parts are simple and cheap. However, you can file your Form 1's before the deadline and convert them at a later time. This will override the need for fingerprints, pictures and LEO notification. Also, you have to have each Form 1 item engraved with your Trust name, city and state. I shot you a message, send me an email and I will send that trust info to you.

Any of y'all keep a long gun in the car/truck? If so, how you transport it or where you keep it?
Not me I keep a couple handguns in trucks but most of my long guns I value too much to keep them in there everyday. Reason being my everyday carry pistols I don't wanna replace but would hurt less if I had to. Roadtrips yeah I keep the Tavor and my Ruger 10/22 takedown in two separate packs. I got compartments behind seats and under seats that they stow in with no problem. Plus the packs they are in serve as mini bug-out kits with ammo, ear pro, and first aid.

FN_FS2000-1full.jpg

FS2000

The trigger pack is located in the upper rear and trigger bar runs just above the 2 sling holes. The other photo may be an airsoft since the "Tuna" does not like Pmags. There is a magwell gasket that gets hung on Pmags and they will get stuck.

Top one looks like an FN FS2000, but the frame has been chopped up (Bad photoshop maybe). The bottom looks like an HK G36 full auto early prototype.

You're right I own both and always call them both P90's when I know better LOL but that is a FN2000 but yeah either they modded it or like you said it's a Photoshop job. What makes you call the 36 an early prototype? I've only seen that stock on airsoft guns come to think of it. I had tbostic convert my HK USC to an UMP using a Navy lower that had all the markings but inside it was the same fire control group minus the trigger for 922 compliance. So you can never tell if it's genuine without some backstory.

The prototype that I saw years ago used a FN pencil barrel and had a smaller profile like this one. They also used a solid non-collapsible/ non- foldable stock for the prototype. Later models used an HK branded heavier barrel.

Any of the three would be a good starter rifle, except the Smith and Wesson in the picture is a .22lr. The biggest thing is to get alot of range time to familiarize yourself with the rifle. You will need to learn to always be safe, how your weapon functions, and how to break it down completely. Some people recommend building AR's from kits, but I think that you need some hands on experience before you take on that task. I say this because after shooting one and learning what you like and dislike, then you will spend your money wisely on upgrading what you need. And you don't purchase unnecessary items or do something stupid like the cop in this picture with his scope on backwards. This shows that he has not spent enough range time and is not familiar with his gear. This type person usually hurts themselves or others.
There are a lot of Black gun groups on Facebook that have members all around the country. Join a few and get advice and training with these brothers. Also know your state and local gun laws.

Thanks Man, I have a 9mm Smith & Wesson and a SKS already. I don't want a .22lr but I'm torn between a 5.56 or .223.

5.56 will chamber and shoot 223. 223 should not shoot 5.56 due to higher chamber pressure that could cause the barrel to explode.

I read that. Most .233 manufacturers list both but I read it more trouble than it worth. I want that Vepr 12 now. Just not sure where to buy it.

Do yourself a favor and check out gunwatcher at least before you buy anything. Just looked and found a DDI 12 for $629 just trying to save the bruhs some $$$ to buy ammo and mags. But hey it's your coin.
Yeah, I was just throwing that out so he could see other options. Definitely price check with different sites. I think Atlantic has this one for under $600 right now.

You could do what I did and build your own
Yea, but like @Sentra52 said, if he ain't never owned one or isn't familiar with an AR, then he ain't gon know what he's building, why, or the difference between factory & aftermarket parts.

I asked this earlier in the thread and everybody was telling me to build one. But I'm not an AR man, I'd be getting one ONLY because it's the dominant rifle useD in North America and ammo is plentiful.

I'm way more guerrilla than tactical (read: I'm an AK man)

For example....for all the rifles I've shot, HK's, AK's, SKS's, etc, I have never shot an AR. I wouldn't know what parts to get & why or why not.
How would I know which trigger guard to get?
How would I know what buffer weight to get?
BCG?
CH?
FCG?
Rail?
Flat top or carry handle?
And whateva else dem sissy ass lego-guns got to go along with em.

On another note, I'm kicking myself in the ass for passing on a S&W 686+, 2.5" barrel, 7 shot revolver because he wouldn't come down $50.:hithead:

DDI has a 12 Ga that you might want to look at too coming in at $649.

I'm absolutely against any American made AK platform rifles! Just on principle! :itsawrap:

Looks like crap to me. VEPR 12 for the win! For a $100 more you get tried & true reliability, great barrel, a receiver that's thicker than John Wayne arteries, and it's heavy so it makes my nuts THAT much mustier for that particular day.

Bitches like musty nuts

The DDI is a Chinese built import with modifications....based off the Saiga 12 platform.

You make some good points. I built mine only having shot an AR once before. I spoke to a few of my friends who own them and gave advice on what I should and should not do as far as building it. Since it was my first built I didn't go to any extremes. I actually bought a completed upper. I did assemble the lower myself. The next thing I'm doing is building an upper with a free float barrel. It's a learning process. If you can handle it, cool, if not, don't try it. I've put at least 1000 rounds through it, no failures.
