2017 CHICAGO BEARS Off-Season Thread

But I agree something fishy is going on

Martellus Bennet

Brandon Marshall

Matt forte

Charles Tillman

Pace got rid of all black players and kept that cacs

Sad to see Forte go, but we knew it was coming. But him leaving means you cant spin it any other way. The old guard is gone and were officially rebuilding. Matt was so under appreciated, and hell, I was hard on him. Ninjas could run inside the 5 for shit!!! Ole twinkle toes ass ninja... Wont be the same without him.

I'm glad Kyle is probably going back to guard.

Yup. They tried to spin it like he wasn't struggling, and give him time... But you don't move an All-pro to another position 1 week before the season. Just like a baseball infield. There are little nuances about each position and sometimes a person is just better at the little things that make all the difference, even though they have the skills.

Mariani (boooo)...

He can't return kicks for shit but I'll give credit where due; he mades some tough ass catches the last half of the season; it's like his mind and hands realized his NFL-career was at 14:59 and he needed to save what was left. Further, he actually stayed healthy for all 16 games.

Id like to see Royal returning punts an Wilson & Rogers returning kick offs.

Y'all still got that bum Jay Cutler lol yall not going anywhere.

Yea, but there's always hope, right?

We should draft a QB, but as much as I can hate Cutler hes the best option right now. We actually have talent and some continuity.

So we went after CJ Anderson? Glad we didn't get him truthfully. We need a vet back, and Denver had a bad offensive line, but I wasn't impressed.

We will see how he plays without Megatron, but I rather have Stafford than Cutler

and this is why you're a bum ass Lions fan

Your two greatest players quit rather than continuing to play for your shit organization

and do I need to mention 0-16?

Get the fuck outta here and go get you some tissues from Costco
They didn't quit, if they wanted to they could have asked for a trade to somewhere else. Barry and Calvin got out when they wanted to. I respect their decisions. They are lion legends and I'm glad they retired a lion.

0-16 is not as bad as it looks. shit most people in Detroit was hoping they kept the 0-16 instead of winning a game that year to become the first team to lose every game. That particular team tanked that year.

I knew Bennett had to go, but I just hate it's the Pats

Bennett had one good half season and wanted to a top paid TE

Yall dummies gave Tom Brady and the Patriots another weapon in Martellus Bennett smh. Dumb ass Bears!

Ironic

Has your organization every made a good move...ever?

Props to Pace so far:

ILBs Trevathan & Freeman
RT Massie (Long back to G)
DL Hicks
TE Housler, Resigned TE Miller

Resigned Porter,Mcmanis,Rodgers, Mariani (boooo)...

We should have some real flexibility going into the draft. And won't have to draft based on need..

...and Omar Bolden (ST/KR), Ramirez & Larsen (more OL).

The draft is now a complete crapshoot/take best avail talent at every pick..6 picks in the top 150:

11 (1st rd)
41 (2nd rd)
72 (3rd rd)
107 (4th rd)
127 (4th rd)
150 (5th rd)
185 (6th rd)
206 (6th rd)
230 (7th rd)

...cant wait..

Loving the draft so far.... at first I was PISSED with the trade downs but then I looked at the talent that was left. (especially on offense) and am happy again.

Lloyd

Bullard

Bullard looks like a monster.

The three selections in the 4th should be interesting. Id love a FS if there are any left..Im also high on D. Booker at RB, Burbridge at WR and possible KR....also pls do not draft C Cook :smh:

^^^ so far GM Pace drafted the immediate needs

still need more secondary help though
It will be interesting oh who they draft in the later rds

They've really been drafting for the secondary and based on these picks the special teams should be stronger as well. Still need a new return guy.

Yeah man, that defense needed new blood in the secondary
3 secondary picks(SS, FS and CB), inside LB
Also a RB from Indiana 4th thru 6 rds picks

I'm not sure what I feel about Floyd

He didn't produce, but I saw a lot of it was Georgia didn't let him be a straight pass rusher

but man, when kid stood up. I was like is he a TE/WR. He's small as hell

They did a lot in the fourth
