GOOD PICK UP FOR THE SPURS.
Adds some death and shooting for the Spurs. Also adds the possibility of the spurs running that small ball game again. Pop ain't slick. He was talking shit about that small ball game even though he won a chip using it. Now he realize that the traditional style is not going to carry him all the way through. Look for the spurs to experiment with

Martin is already in that slot. Manu is a non factor at this point. He there for ride. Pop can't play Manu and he sat Parker out at the end of the game against NO the other night. He knows he can not put Parker, Duncan and Manu in at the same time anymore. That shit is counter productive because they can't score like they use to and their slow.

True, but he can stretch the floor. Who going to play Manu or Martin? both of the be doing that crazy left handed shit. Sometimes you have to give up something to gain something. That spurs squad that beat the heat was not great defensively, but they played cohesively which counts for something.
Hes easily guardable though; just like green is; if you dont double team the spurs; neither will be open to do anything...

At first I thought OKC could, but I'm skeptic of them now. The late game struggles are extremely telling.

OKC will take the Spurs to 7 games maybe 6 in OKC favor only because the Spurs have major issues with dynamic PG's..
Westbrook is going to go ham in them along with Durant.. It's up to everyone else to step up..

True but Westbrook and Durant will dominate that series; and the spurs have no one to counteract them; plus they wont need to double Aldridge; And Leonard will spend alot of energy guarding Durant, thereby his offense will dip; I think its a perfect storm for them to beat Spurs; Notice when they are healthy they always handle the spurs easily...
That most teams though. Steph and Durant are the only two people in the league that can murder people from 30 feet and out. Other than that, Martin is there for spacing and a threat. Giving that LA can some what control the paint, you not going to leave mills, green, Martin or Leonard open.
To me the idea behind the pick up was floor spacing and another three point threat. He is a threat. A threat you can guard, but one you can not leave open.

I get that and all, and I'm aware of their struggle of that dynamic pg problem, but at one point do we consider that OKC is easy to guard at the end of games and their bench is super duper suspect.
I wouldnt be surprised if OKC wins, but the way they have been playing lately, I'm not sure I am as convinced as I was early this season.
Really though how have they been playing?? They lost to NO on a back end of a back to back; they never can beat the Cavs or should I say LBJ for some reason; they lost to GS 3 times which was expected to me; now that terrible lost to the Clips was really ridiculous to me; but outside of that I dont think they have been playing that bad...
We shall see. OKC are showing their weaknesses late in the season.
Spurs and GS are in experiment mode right about now. By the time they meet up again, there regular season match up is going to be pointless because they got the one and two seed locked.
They haven't been playing totally bad, just at the end of games like they notoriously been doing for the last 5 years. Come on, at what point does that get solved? They have a different coach with the same exact problems as last year and the previous years.
I like OKC man, but we been talking like this team is championship caliber for years now and nothing has changed. So what if they beat the spurs. They ain't beating GS or Cleveland.
But thats the thing; Ive never thought they were championship caliber because Ive never thought they could beat the champs; to me its GS and everyone else; I think OKC could get to the finals if they didnt have to play GS; but they would loose to the Cavs; I think people gas them up because of the hate for the warriors and also because of the talent level of Westbrook and Durant; and they are a top level team, just not on GS level; but nobody is...
