I think (hope) Michael Bloomberg will throw his hat in the ring as an independent if Trump wins the Republican nomination. In that case, I think the Dem nominee will be a lock.

President Trump coming soon. Hillary is far too hated to win nationally.
Amazing how Democrats are too stupid to see that the candidate who performs better in general election polls is the more electable candidate.

They're going to nominate the candidate with the dirtiest past who does worst against Republicans in polls because electability is what is most important to them. And that very well may result in a Trump presidency.

:hmm:..Hes not beating Hillary; Ill bet you however much you wanna bet on that...

not to mention Trump isnt well liked in most parts overseas.. looked like the British Parliament actually was thinking about debating whether or not theyd let him visit the UK :lol:

Most of the people in those polls didn't know that:

A. Sanders is a Socialist
B. He"s going to raise their taxes.

Do that poll over, ask if they would vote for a socialist that will raise their taxes and see how it comes out.

Yeah, things could get much rougher for Sanders. They certainly would if he's nominated.

But he's not under FBI investigation, he's not hiding his history with Wall Street, there's no Sanders Foundation with shady overseas dealings.

Sanders could certainly lose but I think he will beat any Republican for the same reason Obama beat Romney-- People believed Obama cared about them more than Romney did. Ironically, eight years of calling Obama a socialist weakens that attack for the GOP now that they have a chance to use it legitimately. And Sanders does a very good job of explaining that having your taxes raised a dollar when you're going to get two dollars in benefits from it is not reason to set your hair on fire-- again, Republicans have been the "no taxes, Democrats will raise your taxes" party for decades now; Sanders is actually better equipped to handle that attack than any Democratic nominee of the past.

Clinton, on the other hand, poses risk of catastrophes that are totally out of her hands at this point. She could be a complete disaster for Democrats based on something she did 2-4 years ago and can't change-- I'd much rather be Bernie Sanders on stage with Trump, Rubio or Cruz explaining the merits of a progressive tax structure than Hillary Clinton under indictment. The landmines of her past are just beyond comparison with Sanders.

I keep waiting for the Republican party to dig up dirt on Trump to get him out, but I feel like Trump already dug up dirt on himself and paid those people to never talk.

That's what people fail to believe. The Latino contingent alone is going to keep his goofy ass outta the house.
Man, if Latinos have a chance to vote against Trump, I wonder if any demographic will have ever had the turn out that they are going to have.

I'm going to have to look up the years the black and white votes were the highest and where they were in those instances-- I think 2016 Latinos very well could blow it out of the water.

It's amazing they never did. Now Trump might be the clown nose that cutting would only be the Republicans spiting their own face. They can't risk him limping across the finish line, victorious in the primary because they didn't stop him in time but far too wounded to win as their representative in the general.

I think he would take more votes from the Democratic nominee than he would from Trump. He wouldn't get anything substantial for himself, but possibly enough to fuck up the works for Hillary or Bernie.

Texas should be really really interesting. A whole lot of delegates, and Cruz's home state. I don't know who I want to see lose it the most, him or Trump; but if Cruz doesn't win it, he's probably gone.

Over the last 40 years I think it has gone red more in presidential elections, but blue for Clinton and Obama. ....regardless though, this was the republican caucus, so red/blue didn't matter.... just red.

i thought nevada was a blue state? home of harry reid

LOL @ ya'll thinking Trump cannot win in the general election
Ya'll clearly are underestimating all the racist/bigots in this country
Look at the raw number of total votes
Republicans have been coming out in RECORD numbers to vote in these primary's & caucuses

In Nevada alone....

Trump = 33,380 total votes
Hillary = 6,316 total votes
Bernie = 5,678 total votes

Same thing in Iowa & New Hampshire also
Republicans have been showing up at the polls in record numbers to vote
If Hillary gets the nom, I know a bunch of people might not even vote...especially young people b/c they can't stand her ass

That's where you make your mistake.

It wouldn't be a primary where everyone is watching debates and are really engaged in the process.

These are people that will get most of their knowledge about a candidate by sound bites from ads and quick mentions on TV.

All they'll really know about Sanders is that he's the guy they've heard 24/7 for five months is a socialist and is going to raise their taxes. And with trust in politcians at an all time low, what people are going to happy to give up more tax money for a politicians's promises?

Remember, you're dealing with moderates.

He's alienated Latinos, blacks, and the gays... Best believe he ain't winning shit. He may win their nomination, but he won't win the Presidency.

Black folks don't plan on voting for Hillary (if she wins the nom) so Trump will be the next president
