AFRICANGLOBE – The Namibian government has announced that it is in talks with the attorney general over the introduction of new laws on the expropriation of land after the “willing buyer, willing seller” policy proved “ineffective”.

The Namibian reported that Land Reform Minister Utoni Nujoma had said he was holding ongoing meetings with the attorney general regarding the issue.

The announcement followed concerns raised by farmers over outdated legislation that does little to benefit them.

Statistics released by Farmer’s Weekly showed that, as of last year, only 27% of the total agricultural land in Namibia had been successfully redistributed to those who were previously disadvantaged; 43% of the total agricultural land had been allocated for redistribution and another 16%, or 5.6 million hectares, had yet to be successfully redistributed.

Speaking during a meeting of the Namibia National Farmer’s Union and President Hage Geingob, Nujoma disclosed that the government was considering amending the Communal Land Reform Act of 2000 and the Commercial Land Reform Act of 2005.

Geingob urged farmers to work with the government to address issues affecting them.

I hope so. My dream is that all land, mineral rights be taken back and all treaties with whites be dissolved and reconstructed.
This is where other professinal blacks need to step up, because say they get their land back and have a land filled with mineral and oil, the problem becomes how are they going to get to it and find it... You know them whites will blow up their mines and not give the the map to where the minerals are..
What usually happens they go to other people like the Chinese or someone else to mine it for them, the problem is they mining is so expensive that a lot of companies and even countries cannot afford to absorb losses that are often associated with minning...
Here is an example on what happens when you mine for oil.... Now just imagine how much this shit must coast and home much expertise it cost to pull this off, and even if your a pro and able to pull it off think about how many times you have to pull it off before you find the right well that nets a profit...

Point blank we need more black geophysics's, more exploratory revenue that can absorb losses that you face before you hit the payday...
If not then what usually happens is the economy that is depended on these minerals and oil wind up collapsing leading to instability in the Government often leading to the new Government bringing back the same CAC's they got rid of in the first place..
This is a big problem facing Africa and the only solution to this problem is knowledge and expertise!!

Anyone cheerleading this is a weirdo. Do you want to know why non African blacks are afraid to put their money into places like this? Call me old fashion, but if they can do it to cacs, more than likely they will do it to me too, and I don't even have nearly as many resources.

Pro homosexuality, pro incest and now pro colonialism. What
have white people done to you?

Its the double edge sword that many nations of Africa live under, on one hand, if they allow the settlers to stay, they will continue to be exploited, and if they kick them out they risk having them sabotage their country while destroying their credit rating, something that is needed to rebuild.. This is why we need our own nations to step in to invest in other black nations and breaking our dependency to the west..
Whats sad is that there are folks who think all we have to do is kick them out and the resources will be there for the picking, not realizing how expensive and how difficult it is often to get to them...

All I see are Americans talking a good talk, but I don't see anyone putting up their own resources on the table. I am blessed to be able to be rational. Are cacs evil? Sure. But what are the contingency plans after the eviction?

I hope those guys put a call to all the folks in Houston who may be cut due to the death of fracking.

Remember what that half CAC president of the USA did to Zimbabwe.

I don't think much of us understand that having recorces doesn't mean you can get to them, and the expense it often takes to get to them.. I hear brothers calculate all the time how much wealth Africa has, but fail to understand that it doesn't mean shit if you cannot get to them...
Once we understand this then we can have a logical discussion on how to get to these resources independently or at least in a manner that is more fair for the indigenous people living there..

Zimbabwe is a perfect example of what I am talking about... Especially when I talk about how the colonialist often sabotage the economy and land after they leave, making the next government appear to be the villains..

The government are villains. At what point are we willing to be honest with ourselves? If they are going to take over cacs stuff, wouldn't it be naive to think that eventually they're going to try to take over my/your shit too?

In speaking only for myself, but if I put some resources, I'm going to be meddling in the affairs of the president. I'm not just there for all that other stuff.

Because if even if your interest and intentions are for your people, however due to their inability complex business and technical aspect of their situation the promises they make to their people turns to frustration and anger as the economy turns to shit..

Namibia is the "shit" of white men? When did
Africa become the property of white men?
The way they get you is not who owns the stuff, but how much that they will charge to get the stuff out of your land... Thats why we need to invest in technology and learn how to get our own shit rather than be depended on others to get it for us..

But mining for minerals isn't a foreign concept to Africans. They used to do it way before they had contacts with outsiders.

Technology has made life more efficient. Who wants to risk their capital coming into the country and it being taken over because theyre a foreigner?

Most of the mining done today is a lot different from what was done hundreds of years ago... Do some research on modern mines and how much of a technical marvels most of them are..

That's why African governments should be spending more time and money figuring out how to make it cost effective. All these governments ever do is outsource instead of innovating. Africa has lots of geniuses but no one to financially back their ideas.

True, but in the real world there are only but a hand full of corporations around the world that has the equity, the hardware and the know how to extract many of the resources... The thing is many time you have to spend hundreds of million dollars on research and exploration just to find a mind that procures anything, and this is with state of the art equipment.. Even if they were able to produce at the rate of these few specialist, I hardly think that they have the money to absorb losses the way these super companies can.. This is another fact that usually goes unnoticed to people who think extracting resources is an easy undertaking...

Well unless they try to figure this problem out on their own they will always get exploited by outsiders.
A lot of these goverments have the financial resources but they are just used to others doing the work for them. That is not leadership.

There's a reason why the best petroleum engineering schools in the world aren't in opec countries.

Wealth? I know nothing of such.

I remember a thread back in 2009 on congress passing a bonus tax on Wall Street workers. The members of this forum cheered on congress. I remember being the lone voice being concerned about such tactics. Governments shouldn't be punitive. The citizens are likely to respond in kind.

Rules are meant to be broken. If I were to have capital in any of those lawless nations, I would have to come with my own infantry. I've always worked under the premise that I'm not special. What they do to the cacs, they will do it to me eventually.

And I had a grand uncle in Kenya and Nigeria. He spent the majority of his life there and he was still an outsider.

The funny thing to me is with a few exceptions ain't none of you mofokrs ever been to Africa and haven't done shit for Africa..You aren't even doing shit here but sit and cheerlead what others do and criticize what some don't do..

Get the fuck of the bench and get in the game. Any game

This is why Africa must unite and instead of one country trying to do it all on their own you can have one specializing in one thing and another in something else... For example there could be a country that specializes in drilling tips, another in explosives and another in making industrial conveyor belts... Unfortunately every time there is talk of a unified Africa somebody winds up dead and the talks become sabotaged..

You can't expect them to practice comparative advantages when they're in the business of snatching shit. And then there's the elephant in the room: they dislike each other.

I've posted on here the story of disgust of Nigerians towards Liberians.
