New Orleans...Holla At A Playa

Damn I wish I had seen that while we were in town bruh. Epic good times. Great city. Ate well, drank well, smoked well, smacked some good ass. Even did some shooting down there. No disappointments.

Bump going at the end of the month was able to use HH points to stay at the Waldorf. We are thinking about doing the New Orleans Grand tasting on Saturday. Is this shit worth over 100 for 3 hours?? This shit better be open bar and unlimited food for that price....

Just got back from the NO last Monday... To answer your question GET DRUNK AND FUCK!!!!!!!!

On my momma, my lil lady friend and I went to local CVS and them bitches were sold out of the plan B pill. Dude said "yeah it was a holiday weekend, we usually sell out during holidays"

:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

Whats good. Getting off this contract in Afghanistan next week and coming back to the states. I'm taking the old lady to essence fest this year anybody got any tips. I recently retired from the military so a nigga trying to go hard.:dance:

stay at the hyatt if you are trying to be close to the concerts,

Crowne Plaza or Royal sonesta if you want to be near the tourist spots,

dress cool, its gonna be hot as fuck.

bourbon st and the French Quarter = tourists
Frenchmen st= locals and more informed tourists
magazine locals mostly white tho
St Bernard= locals neighborhood bars and cool hood spots
Broad st locals neighborhood spots

best likely place to have lots of grown up fun is the casino for essence fest but beware they like to throw expensive parties in there for events

Thanks for the feed back bruh

In New Orleans til Saturday. Need a good all day breakfast spot for sure. Probably just gonna walk different tourist neighborhoods today...recommendations that won't get me shot up?

Well, ended up as a great foodie trip. Started off at Dis N Dat, then some hole in the wall that serves a seafood potato. Also dined at Deanies Seafood, went to Harrahs Casino, of course hit the French Quarter, the Riverwalk, and lastly City Park for the Louisiana Seafood Festival. Came back stuffed to the brim...definitely my choice for top food city.

Thanks for the advice family. Ima hit up payless and get some jeepers to walk around in. LOL.

Deanie's Seafood in Bucktown, Drago's in the Hilton on the river. Mother's Poboys will have you in a line around the corner, but you can also do Domilise's on Annunciation (kinda in the hood, but the owner has shrines for the Manning boys, so it's a must see.) Ralph and Kacoos in the French Quarter, and Court of Two Sister's for the obvious tourist points - you might even see a celebrity or two there.

If you're not afraid, Gene's Poboys on St. Claude - big pink building that is totally hood, but good poboys (overstuffed sandwiches on French bread.)

If I think of more, I'll post - just got back from NO visiting family and friends fit holidays :-)

Whats some food joints in NO I need to check out?

I went to NO for the first time last summer. Definitely hit Cafe du Monde. The beignets were really good.

Chargrilled oysters at Acme were also really good.

I say stay out of Harrahs if you can. I didn't win a penny in there. Lost like $200. They have no competition in the city, so they can do what they like.

Got a great pastrami sandwich at Steins.

Also hit up that Central Grocery. Sandwich was great. Don't expect great service though.

I stayed at the Westin. The river view from my room was amazing. One of the best hotel rooms I ever had. Stay there if you can. Service is excellent also.

Had a great time for Mardi Gras. Alot of beautiful women walkin round and everyone was fun loving out there. The food was EXCELLENT. I hit up The Creed House on Canal St for some crabcake and scrimp alfredo. Joey Ks in uptown and a few other spots that were good. I plan to venture off further into the city next time I come which will be very soon.

Lol. I was told to stay away from 9th ward. On another note im seriously considering relocating to H Town this summer.
You haven't really "seen" the NO until you go to the wards.
You've only seen the tourist areas.
There are bus tours that will take you through there if you don't feel safe. LOL.

Shit its hoods everywhere in NO, uptown too, but all the locals who live there will know that you not from there, as long as you not up in no bullshit they aint gonna fuck with you. I done kicked it all over new Orleans all up in the hole in the wall spots uptown and downtown, all you gotta do is speak to a chick done there with confidence and they down to fuck.
