The Problem with Yeezus is that it didn't demand repeat listening sessions. I was cool with listening to it once and then I moved on. That's the same thing with this album. It doesn't stick. I'm not going to say it is horrible, like that shit that he played at the tidal event. It's just a regular good album. The thing I use to love about Kanye was that his earlier albums didn't have the flash behind them. His albums sounded like music that a regular dude that lived a regular life would put out. He avoided falling into the Bling Bling game that every other rapper was doing back in the early 2000's. Obviously we knew that he was far from that regular guy, but that was the story that he portrayed and it connected to me. Yeezus and The life of Pablo are just out of left field albums that don't speak to me. I guess every artist has a right to evolve music, but my expectations are high with this dude. I mean I still play Good Morning from Graduation at least once a month.
