If a rap album eventually goes pop, I don't mind. If a rapper intentionally makes a pop record, I have no need for them.

I can smell a pop record a mile away. The last rap record that I heard that could/should went pop was the migos' was fight night. Just a dope record. There is a thin line, and I don't know how to feel about it anymore.

Late Registration was a hell of an album, I downloaded it on the strength of what BGOL members were saying about the album and they were right. I loved it so much I purchased College Drop Out. I fell out with Kanye when he started disrespecting other artist.

Haven't seen this Ye in a while though family. I'd love to have the old Takeover/Girls Girls Girls Remix/Get By, Kanye back, but that's history at this point. To your point though, he's definitely let the people around him and his space define his music.
