WASHINGTON — UPDATE: 2:20 pm with statement from Darnell Earley's lawyer.

During the U.S. Congressional hearing on the Flint water crisis the head of the committee angrily demanded that Darnell Earley show up to testify.

Rep. Jason Chaffetz, the chairman of the House Oversight Committee, demanded that U.S. Marshals "hunt down" Darnell Earley and deliver him a subpoena to appear.

Darnell Earley's lawyer, A. Scott Bolden, tells NBC25 that he will accept any new subpoena issued for Earley. He also said that Earley will appear before the committee, "subject to any of his constitutional protections, privileges, and rights."

When asked if that meant Earley would use fifth amendment protections against self-incrimination, Bolden replied with, "I don't know."

Darnell Earley served as the emergency manager in Flint when the city switched its water source to the Flint River.

Yesterday Earley announced that he would resign from his current position, as emergency manager of Detroit public schools, at the end of the month.

An angry Chaffetz said that Earley was invited last week to testify. Chaffetz said Earley notified them that he wouldn't testify on Monday night.

That was when a subpoena was issued. That subpoena was not accepted. Earley's attorney A. Scott Bolden tells NBC25 the subpoena, "borders on the nonsensical. The Committee issued a subpoena at 6pm today, demanding that he appear at 9am tomorrow."
 
Did you see that hearing? They were killing those people from Mich., especially over the fact that they still made them pay for unusable water. They were also pissed that the Governor wasn't there.

The repubs just trying to take cover for the Gov. They were trying to blame the EPA first and now they are blaming the middle man.

Since the Gov removed all of the local govement and appointed the manager this is all on him.

Obama was chosen by rich racist white males. What they did in South Africa they felt could easily work over here. There are blacks that will kill if anything happens to Obama. But will look at us (black nationalist) as criminals and a burden to society.
Their has been a lot of black genocide in the last 30 or 50 years. I am talking about millions of blacks. The black genocide in Libya was not that long ago. But we cannot get an accurate account of how many blacks they tortured to death or outright killed. When those birds, fishes, etc. were dying in very large numbers I knew then that it was a lot of experimentation going on.
How do blacks work and pay taxes to a military created to kill them? Pay taxes to a government that has sworn to keep very important secrets from them? And spends a lot on eugenics to get rid of our true blackness. The honored clubs do not allowed blacks that even speak with a black dialect. And there has always been a war against the black male. When we were very young ( around the ages of 0,1,2,3,4,5,6 ) we did not know that. Then at age 6 you should be good and ready to have goals put in your head by your enemy. That is why we are struggling for black power to free our souls and take the chains off of our minds.

What rules did he break? Balancing the budgets? Helping these towns get their affairs in order? If I can balance my checkbook, why can't the government? Thank goodness they have "saved" so much money over the last 2 years.
