There were some exploits in The Witcher 3 that let people harvest hides and pearls for gold. If you used them to make a quick buck, well, the game’s developers know. And they’re sending someone after you.
WhatsMyGame posted this video today from his playthrough of the new expansion, Hearts of Stone, and it shows his travels being interrupted by an in-game tax collector. Who knows all about your undeclared income, where you got it and how you did it.
Killed cows around White Orchard? He knows.
Stocked up on pearls? He knows.
And he knows, better than anyone in Temeria, the punishment for your crimes.
Before you go panicking (there’s a hefty fine!), know that his final judgement isn’t set in stone. He actually asks you if you’re guilty of the crimes you’re being accused of.
If you say no—regardless of whether you actually did it or not—you don’t just get off scott free, you’re given a reward for your “honesty”.

The Witcher 3: Blood & Wine Features a More “Complex” Story and “Charismatic” Antagonist
Eurogamer.it recently conducted an interview with CD Projekt RED to discuss the upcoming Blood and Wine expansion for The Witcher 3. In the interview, CD Projekt RED discusses how Blood and Wine is quite a bit more “complex” than the main storyline of Wild Hunt.
The expansion is set to expand the game by quite a margin. Here’s the official description:
Blood and Wine is a 20-hour tale that will introduce the all-new in-game region of Toussaint, and will take Geralt to a land untainted by war, where an atmosphere of carefree indulgence and knightly ritual masks an ancient, bloody secret.
CD Projekt RED told Eurogamer that Blood and Wine is a completely separate story from the original plot found in Wild Hunt. According to the interview, the developers believe they “have achieved something even better than the main game.”
One of things CD wanted to do for the expansion was to create a more “charismatic enemy” for Geralt to face, as well as develop a more complex story they believe “players will appreciate.” This is Geralt’s final story according to the interview, so it sounds like CD Projekt RED wants to make it a memorable and lasting experience for players.
The main plotline of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was good in its own right, but some of the sidequests in the game, such as the much talked about “Family Matters” sidequest, was a league above the main plotline in terms of complex themes and maturity.

ya I'm lucky I didn't jump into 3 as yet...played it for a quick minute...but I've heard ppl say the combat system in 3 is so vastly improved it makes 2 hard to go back to and play
I just really booted it up and logged major play time today. The graphics are dated, but not unbearable. The controls however are pretty bad, not that 3 was exactly refined. But the story telling top notch, and it's nice to see some of the people you saw in 3 and see how the world became what it became. For free.99 you can't beat it if you're looking for something to play in between other games.
I bought this game on pc. Because of all the rave reviews and i wanted to test out my new build. And I just cant get in to it. The combat system is too simplistic for me. Just normal strike and strong strike. Its far too easy. Reminds me of assassin's creed on how boring and repetitive the quest are. However the graphics are on point.

You must be playing on easy. Even on easy you're going to get out numbered on occasions and get your ass kicked.
I couldn't get into it so there it languishes. On my fucking ps4 hard drive . Xbox 1 collects dusts as we speak. I'm waiting on Hafow of Mordor sequel
