As for finding BGOL (Online-Video) ... that was back in the fall of 1997. Got home internet with Sprint Canada then so was mostly checking for nude models and Baywatch-types like Traci Bingham & Pam Anderson. Some Tyra Banks. Some pornstars. Checking out the BGOL preview clips (.MPEG format) every few weeks like most people. Trying to find good sites and whatnot via Sprint Canada / Yahoo-type seaches and mostly finding the thumbnail gallery post link indexes, etc. Glad to have found BGOL back then. Great to see the site and forums/boards grow over the years, while so many other sites (read: competition) fall by the wayside.
So glad the dial-up days are gone. The internet moved in quicksand back then.

somebody in yahoo chat I think sent my cuz a pic of charmaine sinclair in a towel claiming it was her...of course back then neither of us had no idea who charmaine sinclair was or about catfishing...so I thought it might've honestly been the chic he was talking to in chat @ the time...anyway I was looking for porn pics bcuz 10 sec preview clips took like a damn half hour to load when I stumbled across the same pic and found out she was a porn star...didn't save the pic tho...so the next nite I retraced my steps and tried to remember all the search terms I used...finally I got fed up and just typed black girl wearing a towel...stumbled across BGOL and stixx was the hot poster @ the time...the rest is history...I never seen that charmaine sinclair pic again til years later lol...this will be my 17th year frequenting this board...in-fucking-sane

I found the board in 1996. I was learning HTML for a class and my homie and I found that shit in the college campus library. I took my ass back to the dorm, got on my PC and the rest is history.............

I was a member of badboycreations.com and saw mention of BGOL there. Decided to sign up. Lurked for a while until BBC folded. When the music sharing fury started, I started the very first Jazz music thread, now long gone when the board switched to new software. A lot of those threads disappeared. Shared a shitload of music back then. I remember when we were passwording and posting hidden links and pissing cats off with that shit! I came up with a binary pw and then a barcode pw which really pissed off a certain member who still hates me to this day!

I kept on seeing BGOL mention on onprobation and a few other sites, also when I used to computer repair on the side I would see BGOL links in people's bookmarks all the time. I'm also sure there are a few active members that I probably know in real life. I finally created a account back in 03 maybe when I got broadband internet, but I lost the login info so I created this account. Lurked most of the time, until I was reading a thread with some really erroneous information about African history so I chimed in.
Great to see the longevity of the site & board, and cool reading how people found the site back in the day ... especially considering so many OGs have stayed with BGOL over the years!
asswatcher.com and them talking shit about this board like 2000/2001..peeped it didn't like it at first..lurked on a few other messageboards b4 comin over here fulltime maybe 03/04..lurked on this board until like 07/08 when i started promoting a few strip parties on this board..started networking with a few heads on this board providing them with personal entertainment and events and decided to stay
I never knew why that dude, HNIC, closed the board publicly and made it mandatory to join as members. I remember I use to just come on without logging in and look at hoes.
Believe it had to be closed to the public to cut down on all the bullshit over the years. Used to be a mod back in the OG days (late-90s or early-00s) and it's definitely a challenge at times. Especially back then when the trolls, spammers, bots, FTPs & race-baiters were out in full force. There were times I'd receive 50 - 100 direct messages daily with people alerting a mod or two about the bullshit and usernames/profiles that might requiring blocking or banning.
People that actively had 10 - 15+ usernames on the go at once, which was glaringly obvious with the content they were posting, the sign-up and posting time frames, the IP checks, etc. Crazy shit. Or when people would come and spam the board and basically flood out all the content. I was on a Canadian site once, and some muthafucka came in and flooded 122 pages of content. The fuck?
The OG fam' remember the days it went well beyond ocking. People posting photos of peoples' houses ... satellite shots ... home addresses & phone numbers. Threatening to fight/kill muthafuckas & shit.
