I just want us to stop "boycotting" and just stop watching bullshit that doesn't help us in the long run.

Chris Rock signed up for a job and he should do it. He already got paid for it and Reginald Hudlin as well.

What WE should do is not worrying about some award show nor what some old ass actress has to say. WE should be worrying about FLINT Michigan and other environmentally and economically changes cities and states,

Stop focusing on acceptance from niggas and cacs.

The cool thing about CR is he will say something about it and it will not only be funny but true. From what I have read the Academy knows its on some BS. They claim to be making changes soon but I doubt it. So many people on the board have made so many good points. I'm not sure if a boycott will work or not.

Third, build our own.
Fourth, fuck the Oscars.

Rock can do whatever, but it won't make cacs feel bad. He can cancel. He can clown them on stage. Shit won't matter. Only thing matters is not having to depend on their award shows.

i boycott that shit every year.....go on the net the next day to see what the females were looking like. i hope chris do the show and have a field day on they ass.
 
I never miss the Oscars, I love it.....I'm not going to boycott because Will Smith wasn't nominated, a performance I thought was underwhelming.


Idris should have gotten nominated but I don't think its worth boycotting over.
 
Boycotting the Oscars are small fries, the game is bigger than that and the fight wouldn't end there.

Not the sound like Kefta, but the fight is literally combating racism/white supremacy and replacing it with a system of justice.

There's no way around the boycott w/o addressing that issue

I think niggaz got better things to worry about than some fucking statue. Niggaz are so occupied with such bullshit like 10 year olds. Cops blasting niggaz left and right, lead contaminated water, jobs cutting back, neighborhood gentrified, etc. I got mo shit to worry about.

With all due respect, I feel that the grammys are worse. All the music awards is are people (especially the black artist) act a FOOL and its ratchet. The grammys are a stage for any random ass publicity stunt. The oscars are more dignified, organized and mature, but shut out black film/ actors

I don't watch award shows in the first place. They're not actually for US they're not marketed towards us, they don't cater to us.

We can't really boycott it and make a difference. What we can do is what someone like Marlon Brando did.. be the best actor in the world and send a native american to accept the award because you're mad at how they're being treated.

We need to win and then decline it like it don't matter it embarrasses them completely and fucks up the program.

all of this depends on acceptance.

If Him and Will are boys; maybe Chris Rock should boycott, but if they're not tight Hell No. Will Smith just said "there is prejudice, but not a lot of racism in America", so would we be boycotting for prejudice or racism?
