A police officer employed by the Cypress-Fairbanks school district in Houston, Texas, was arrested and charged after police in Houston say the school cop pulled over a female motorist in August, told the woman he had a foot fetish and asked to smell her feet. He then told the woman that he would forgo smelling her feet “if she gave him her underwear” according to an Oct. 28 report from ABC News.
The cop with the foot fetish, 26-six year old Patrick Quinn, was charged with two counts of official oppression. After being arrested and charged, Quinn was freed on a $2,000 bond. Authorities in the greater Houston area are concerned that Quinn may have made his outrageous demands for sexual favors to other motorists in the past.
A spokesperson with the Harris County district attorney's office shared that after Quinn pulled the female motorist over last August, the cop said that he had discovered some marijuana paraphernalia in the woman’s car. That’s when the officer informed the driver of his foot fetish and that he would let her go on her merry way is she would allow him to smell her feet.
He later said he wouldn't need to smell them if she gave him her underwear. Investigators say he then changed his mind and let her go.
Fox News in Houston reported that the woman pulled over by Quinn alerted police in Houston and filed a report regarding the incident. Quinn was arrested not too long afterwards. The cop with the foot fetish has since been suspended from his position as a police officer with the Cypress-Fairbanks school district.
In a statement released by the school district, officials said that were “appalled by the nature of the allegations brought forth against one of our officers. After learning of the allegations, we immediately placed the officer on administrative leave pending the outcome."
The District Attorney’s Civil Rights Division for Harris County is undertaking an investigation into the incident. Daniel Werlinger, the Assistant District Attorney, shared portions of Quinn’s arrest report.
