they probably edited the boo's in there and made the announcers bring home that point

Matt Borrows & Matt Maiocco (2 reporters I both trust to tell it straight) talked about this.

Both said the crowd reacted: 1) when they saw the replay of the hit on the big screen. 2) when the refs removed Gabbert from the field.

They said in the midst of the boos Kap received cheers thus it sounded mixed.

For everyone watching the game, don't trust a damn thing Ronde Barber & Chris Myers was saying. They called a shitty game.
