2015 - 2016 NBA Thread - NBA where amazing happens - all rookie team named!!!

Curry and Westbrook has set the bar so high that I'm having a hard time appreciating cp3 pureness as a PG.

I don't know, man. I'm going to have to monitor this kat.

Bruh Westbrook is a bigger version of Iverson. He's a 2 guard feeling in the role of a 1. If You talking true points talk Curry, Tony Parker they are unselfish team first guys. Westbrook is about Westbrook. He'll coexist with KD to get a ring.

I can't remember, did the Pelicans and Rockets talk shit?
I know Harden said the "real MVP" bullshit but I thought the Clips were the ones talking the most shit.

Yea it was the clippers but the Warriors don't like the fact folks were tryin to discredit they're title with that "every team they face PG was hurt" then Kyrie said the Cavs won If they was healthy, then they wasn't the clear cut favorites to win it this, which pissed them off, then that's when that clipper talk came

So as you can see it...they have plenty of motivation to kick fuckers ass

Tony Parker unselfish by the Spurs system, but he has never been a big assist guy. Really, curry has set a brand new standard of what it means to be a point guard.

I agree with you in Westbrook, but that boy is a triple double machine too. He did his thing last season witht the little help he had.

Tony Parker is unselfish by his basketball nature. I watched a few FIBA France games this past summer with Tony Parker orchestrating guys into good spots. Boris Diaw did his thing for team France.

I agree with You on Curry. Westbrook couldn't be a true point if he tired. The real point on the team is DJ Augustine. Dj comes off the bench and Westbrook moves to his natural spot shooting guard. OKC has a nice mix the bench has to get involved

The Clippers & Warriors have a legit rivalry. Harden was talking shit that he was the MVP last season.

Blake is looking good out the gate.

This Golden state Clip show beef is great for the game. Boogie Cousins said he hates the Clippers too. Sac is a squad on the move.

The CP3 slander is funny. I think you guys are more caught up in what he doesn't have, than what he does. Look at his New Orleans roster.

Jared Dudley saying Melo is overrated :smh: Has he ever scored 37 in a game? Made a team better?

Rondo and Boogie with Karl seems like a good fit, at least for now

It's not slander it's very informed opinion... and when you have to start blaming other people for his short comings, it become plea coppin and that's not a good look.

I'm not even digging in to his NO roster, what has his teams in LA accomplished? What are his signature wins, signature performance, examples of how he as an 'elite' PG, has lead his team from adversity?

His signature moment is a damn near historic playoff collapse last year... Outside of some highlights and what I view as hollow stats, he is a consistent playoff failure.

Not saying he isn't a very very good player, but he is as overrated as he has been good... :hmm:

When has Steph led his team from adversity?

Westbrook? Wall? Rose? Kyrie?

Did you get that from a movie?

His Clippers team is flawed.
Is he blaming his teammates, or trying to push them?

It's crazy to think a couple of years ago people were wondering if CP3, Deron or Rose were the best point guards

Screen-Shot-2015-10-31-at-7.39.14-AM.png

You named 1 MVP out that list

That's like saying Kobe Tmac and Vince Carter

2 of those people are not like the other

Shaddy, real rap man, no bullshit. Can I ask you a question and get a straight answer? No jokes or anything... Just a straight answer to a question, not none of that bullshit we've been talking about, a serious thread related question?

I'm not saying CP3 is overrated in comparison to anybody, I am saying he is overrated because he's overrated. Bringing up other player doesn't make him less overrated. This is you trying to move the goal post.

And as far as the players you've mentioned, just for giggles lets see:

Westbrook - took a team with a bad coach and flaws to the finals

Rose - former league MVP

Kyrie - has been hurt most of his career

the only one close to being validated is Wall, yet he is still early in his career

And NONE of them has had the amount of flameouts that Paul has. No team is without flaws, but that choke job against the Rockets last year was beyond embarrassing, fucking humiliating, and CP3 was the best player on the team that choked!!

His Clippers team is flawed?! Stop with the plea coppin bruh, they were flawed enough to go up 3-1 though right?! A PGs job is to direct his team and right the shit, and CP3 failed HORRIBLY with that last year, and many times before that. :smh:

Now, show me, based on the list you named, another player on that list, who choked even remotely to the magnitude of a CP3 lead team last year, against a team who's PGs were Prigioni and Jason Terry?!?

Dude is overrated point blank end of story :itsawrap:

Chris Paul
Carmelo Anthony
Dwight Howard
Deron Williams
Dwyane Wade
Chris Bosh
Amar'e Stoudemire

Seems BGOL has given up on the players drafted in the early 00's in favor of:

Steph Curry
Kawhi Leonard
Russell Westbrook
Kevin Durant
James Harden
Anthony Davis
Kevin Love
John Wall
DeMarcus Cousins

Guys drafted in the late 00's/early 10's

Given up like hell. I've always liked Bosh's game since his T dot days. Wade is still quality.

D Will make do something this yr being home. I've watched him since Illinois when he and. Dee Brown were doing their thing.

Not sure it's a matter of giving up as much as the players from the 00s, especially early 00s careers are winding down, and now, their careers are better able to be analyzed and scrutinized, i.e. Chris Paul. Just looking at your list, unfortunately the late 00s/early 10s players already are more accomplished overall than the first list. Only 3 players you listed from the early 00s have played in the finals, and only two have been a key cog in winning it. On the second list, 4 players have played in the finals, 2 have won chips, both were finals MVP, two were league MVP, etc.

The league has begun to move on from the first list overall... :hmm:

CP3 choked? He single handedly while playing hurt is the reason they won several of those games.

Chris Paul Hasn't proven to be big game. Still got this year to prove himself.
Carmelo Anthony Lebron is better
Dwight Howard Huge disappointment
Deron Williams This guy :smh:
Dwyane Wade Wade has nothing else to prove, imo.
Chris Bosh Great player that landed in a great situation with the Heat.
Amar'e Stoudemire never got better after injuries

Seems BGOL has given up on the players drafted in the early 00's in favor of:

Steph Curry MVP and Champ
Kawhi Leonard Defensive POY, Finals MVP, Champ
Russell Westbrook Elite at the moment, but still no accolades to bake his early career
Kevin Durant MVP and 1 finals appearance
James Harden I'm not on his bandwagon.
Anthony Davis Bright future
Kevin Love
John Wall I'm not sure yet. He may have a CP3 type career.
DeMarcus Cousins The potential is there, but hard to trust

Guys drafted in the late 00's/early 10's

Older kats, just need to get a ring, especially Cp3 and Mello.

I know they can ball, but Cp3 is in a good situation to win a ring this year. Should have got it last year, but that 3-1 crumble is hard to ignore. And it's not completely on him though.

List should had Blake Griffin instead of love, but love will when chips because he's on Brons coat tails like Wade

Funny thing is without shaq and Lebron, Wade is the same boat as Melo and CP3.

I thought this was understood, guess not

Look at who he's debating with

That might be true with Lebron and Shaw but Wade put on fa his city in them finals

This Magic vs Bulls game is good. Orlando will be good given time. Victor Oladipo is like D wade for the Magic.

oladipo is looking really good..he hit like 2 almost game winners against the thunder but westbrook :cool:hit that 40 foot shot.

Yea he did. Shaq should be part owner of the Magic instead of the Kings. Penny, Scott Skiles and Shaq back.together only on NBA jam.

Pleas being copped again... So, all of his other playoff failures were everybody else's fault too right? Dude is overrated, you reaching Dude.

I can understand Houston maybe winning a game, but to choke and watch a team you are supposed to lead get roasted like that, with no real positive history to offset that big ass choking failure....equals....overrated :smh:

Nah... once the Clippers choke again this year, it will be everybody else's fault again, not CP3's :hmm:
