Pimp was a coke head and bi-polar. Dude went at Young Jeezy and called ATL the East and not the South. Pimp was that dude on them tracks, but in them streets if he didn't have J Prince dude would have been dead.
Pimp stared dissing No Limit about 2000-2001, there was a version of let me see it where Pimp went on a tirade on P and No Limit at the end of the song but Jive records edited that shit off. in 98 and 99 UGK was still on No Limit Albums.

I'm not sure how the connection came about but it's well known that the two have some type of relationship. They were even pictured together a few years ago in that AMERICAN GANGSTER series that aired in BET. The picture was shown so much that J Prince sued BET and Apple for defamation because he felt that they were associating him with the shit hoover did and J Prince is a legit businessman by all accounts.
Hell, back on one of the Geto Boys album the interludes consisted of a taped phone conversation between hoover and prince.

I was always told it was P & C he was beefing with. P controlled the pay so his anger was with him, C was there and just doing his brother's dirty work. They patched shit up first when both were locked down, then when Pimp got out...he & P squashed it.

I just finished reading the book last week. It was a great read. Thick ass book. It was put together by Julia Beverly who runs Ozone Magazine and Mama Wes. Julia was one of the few media people that Pimp trusted and she did a great job making sure to do her research and really tried to get the stories from all the people involved.
A few things I wanted to point out:
The "kidnapping" with Master P didn't happen. According to the book, what happened was allegedly Pimp was staying in a hotel and was laid up with a woman. P was told that Pimp was staying there and somehow got a key to the room, likely from the person at the service desk.
Eventually, 4 masked dudes ran up in the room. The woman with C tried to throw something at them and missed, she got beat while C was held down and pistol whipped. The guy with the gun put the gun to his face and told him to stop talking shit about No Limit. He then pulled his own mask off - and it was Master P. The other 3 dudes were allegedly Boz and P's two bodyguards. They didn't kidnap him.
J. Prince got involved and P had to move to LA.
P and Pimp patched up their beef after Pimp was released from prison when Pimp was trying to get everybody to stop beefing in the South. This is before he started beefing with Lil' Troy and Smoke D.

Another thing people get messed up is his death. They always say Pimp C died from an overdose of lean which isn't true.
Although he did have some lean right before he died (prepared by somebody else), the autopsy report stated that he didn't have deadly levels of codeine/promethezine in his system. They really think it was the combination of the codeine in his system, sleep apnea (when you stop breathing in your sleep), and just being in bad shape.
He had just performed at a Too Short show in LA and retired to his hotel room. Pimp invited one of his hoes to the hotel to chill with him and this dude named Larry Adams or L.A.
Larry was going to finance UGK Records that Pimp C was trying to start up (Bun had no intentions of running a record label). Larry started hanging around Pimp all the time and had this kind of creepy, lapdog type of presence with him. He started dressing like Pimp, talking like him, gloating to people how he's hanging with Pimp and shit. He was basically an enabler who got him drugs.
So in the hotel room after the Too Short show, it was Pimp, his girl, Larry (I think Larry had a girl, too). Larry was about to leave, but before Larry left he fixed Pimp and his girl two cups of lean.
What was weird was when Larry brought a cup over to Pimp and the girl and the girl reached for it and Larry snapped like "no, this is for C" and gave the girl her own cup. He took out the trash as he left. Pimp's girl eventually went home as well.
The next day, the girl is at home and finds out from her mom that she slept a whole day. She tried to call Pimp to find out what happened and never got an answer.
The girl was never contacted to give her recollection of what happened that night.
Pimp had been dead for two days when they finally opened his hotel room. He was in bed with his jewelry and glasses on, laying in a pool of blood. And his room was unusually clean.
Mama Wes believed that Larry had poisoned him, but the cops didn't investigate it because they didn't suspect any foul play in the hotel room. The hotel footage and the autopsy didn't show any either. Even if it was cyanide (which it's traces can go undetected in an autopsy), cyanide still causes visible damage and discoloration to the walls of your stomach.
J. Prince was looking for Larry at the funeral. He and Mama Wes were talking in his truck when Mama Wes spotted Larry in the parking lot. She was staring him down to make sure it was him, and Prince asked was it him. Knowing that Prince would likely have him snatched up and caused a scene, she told him no.
Years later, Larry eventually died from a lean overdose. It was about month or so before Mama Wes passed away. He was found in a hotel room, eerily in the same manner that they found Pimp.

Shit ain't true. They did not beat Pastor Troy up. C-Murder pulled a gun as he usually did. Shit got a little hectic but nobody got beat up. Shit all stemmed from Pastor Troy making the song, and then No Limit came to Atlanta and performed at the birthday bash. P being that No Limit was so big tried to get the radio station to not allow Pastor Troy to perform. The radio station sided with P, but the A-town was not having it. No Limit got booed and later that night when the Dungeon Family performed Outkast and the Goodie Mob brought Pastor Troy Out and ended up literally shutting the Birthday Bash down. The stories always get bigger and a lot more incorrect as time goes on.
Met dude a couple of times when he was livin in the A. I really believe that bi-polar shit from my interactions with him. Jazzy Pha kinds of tells similar stories about Pimp C in this interview. Pimp C part starts at 24:52.
