They complain all season about foul balls and needing more netting. And sooner or later someone will die.

This is yet another falling over balcony death. Foul balls are not the problem. R.I.P

Fan falls from upper deck of Turner Field during Yankees-Braves game

ATLANTA -- A fan fell out of the upper deck of Turner Field in the seventh inning of Saturday's night's New York Yankees-Atlanta Braves game, was given emergency medical treatment and was taken to a hospital on a stretcher.

According to WSB-TV, Atlanta police say the fan is in grave condition [Update: He died - BlackRob] , and they are investigating the circumstances of the fall.

"There was an accident during tonight's game involving a fan," the Braves said in a statement. "The fan was immediately treated at the scene and transported to a local hospital."

According to witnesses seated in section 401 behind home plate, the fan was screaming at Alex Rodriguez, who had been sent up as a pinch hitter by the Yankees, when he suddenly lost his balance and fell approximately 50 feet to the concrete below, striking a railing on the way down.

There was blood left on the surface around the seats after the man was put on a backboard. A group of stadium medical personnel treated the man for about 10 minutes, applying CPR. As the medical workers worked in a circle around the man, security officers cleared the area.

The game continued as the medical personnel attended to the man, whom a Turner Field usher said was known to him as a Braves season-ticket holder.

A witness who asked not to be identified said she was seated a row in front of the man when he began shouting at Rodriguez.

"All of a sudden, he just flew right over the rail,'' she said. "I can't even function right now.''

Turner Field security cleared the area and refused to allow media access to the site of the accident. No further information was immediately available.

Most upper decks are steep at fuck. So I can't understand why people are reaching over for foulballs, or to boo players anyway. I hate the dude died, but I call this shit natural selection. Sit your ass down and enjoy the game. It ain't that ducking serious that you gotta boo a player you paid to watch.

Stadium seating is faulty, greedy owners put in too many seats too high

Maaaaaaaaaan ain't shit wrong with the damn seats. 99 percent of people never have an issue. And need I remind you they sell alcohol at stadiums??? This dude was just being a dick. I don't think he deserved to die, but it kinda was his own doing. Sit down and act like a fucking adult.

Just think... if he'd sat his ass down, or at least chilled and wasn't trying to be an asshole... he would be home looking at highlights of the game on SportsCenter right now....

When being an asshole goes wrong :hmm:

Went to an Angels game last week, and I have tix to see them next week. There's nothing more annoying than the losers who have a few Bud Lights then wanna holler some bullshit at a dude who couldn't care less that you're even alive, let alone that you don't like him as a ballplayer.

While dude is on permanent chill at the local morgue, A-Rod is somewhere hugged with a chick getting this treatment:

Last time I was at the old Yankee Stadium, I was at the upper deck and felt someone lean on me while I was standing .. When I turned around to find out what it was, I realized that it was a man passed out on his feet eith me keeping him up.. When I turned around dude fell like four rows down busting up his face..

:bullshit:

Millions attend games every year and return home safely with no problem. One asshole that may have been drunk falls over the rail and now the seats are faulty. :cmonson:

Why watch when you can make the highlights?

 I've managed to go to many sporting events and have never fallen off the upper deck...even when I was drunk. If they want this to stop, don't allow alcohol in the parking lot or stadium...*crickets*...yeah that'll happen.

Yup. He wanted his 15 minutes, he got two, and got sent to St. Peter. The downside of attention whoring

You need to be aware of your surroundings

You're watching a baseball game and all of a sudden you see a dude fall.

I'm just glad the idiot didn't land on anyone and only took himself out
