Back from work digesting the rest of this story.

So this dude wasn't just a coon he was a gay coon that went ham.

These dudes try to fit in the worst so it all makes sense now.

Bryce Williams i.e. Brian Williams?

And white folk tend to profile black folk so Don Lemon better watch his ass *pause*.

Re: DAMN! Virginia news reporter and camera-man shot to death while doing live featur

Stormfront having a field day with this

wonder if USA will run a disclaimer before showing the rerun of the previous episode..i remember when the WB did something similar with Buffy the Vampire Slayer back when the Columbine shootings happened, they didnt show the season finale

I was thinking the same exact thing.

Re: DAMN! Virginia news reporter and camera-man shot to death while doing live featur

Interesting video...
From him filming it...to folks never noting him with the gun ...even though he held the gun up for almost 20 secs prior to the shooting.

There are going to be some changes in gun laws now. You know the MEDIA is not going to let this go. I wouldn't be shocked if Fox News starts talking about new gun legislation. NAWWWW knowing them they will say this is a reason for more guns.

Keeping it real.....when that White guy shot up that church.... the first thought that popped into my mind was "new gun laws".

Look at all the pictures of these guys (Black and WHite) who were involved in these weird acts of violence. All of them look possessed or something. I know we have some crazy people in this world....but the fact that so many of them are now being showed on TV is interesting. The fact that race is becoming a regular m.o. is even more interesting.

From the election of Obama (which was also meant to be a distraction) to extreme violence via racism.......a lot of random red herrings being used to condition minds.

ANyways......
Thats why i tell everyone whos capable of being responsible gun owners to stack up RIGHT NOW. Because imho....soon it'll be almost impossible for "sane people" to own guns.

that wasn't a go pro camera , go pro video quality is way better than that. cell phone, shot vertically. gun wasn't chambered when he first pulled that's why it didn't shoot, he puts phone down and u can hear him chamber it and that was that. the thing is, I know the distinct sound of a gun being racked and those white people acted liked they never heard that sound before in their lives.....and got killed. as soon as I heard the sound my head would've been on a swivel. stay strapped, maybe the camera man would have lived if he could've busted a shot or two before old boy turned to shoot him.

Because when youre giving an interview on camera you can be distracted by a bunch of stuff in the background. Imagine new reports where theyre constantly looking away from the camera or the person whos being interviewed.

Re: DAMN! Virginia news reporter and camera-man shot to death while doing live featur

Disgruntled employee is so generic. When you shoot 2 people at 6 in the morning, youre more than disgruntled. Maybe peeved, irked, vexed, etc. Maybe he was troubled by the cessation of steady work.

Think this guy was finally over the edge and lost it about people picking on him and get over or away with their ugliness against him. Whether it was for him being gay or white people being racist and discriminatory.

@WilliamsJon: Sometime between last night & this morning, @ABC received fax from someone claiming to be Bryce Williams. Turned over to authorities #WDBJ

Yo, this is like Dorner part 2. This guy killed a pretty young blonde civilian though.
Police, local hate groups & other racists will want immediate get back. Immediate. It's not a game. Stay safe fam.

First thing that came to my mind was Dorner Part 2.

Slowly but surely it's turning into a race war.

No Doubt! This is another case of the Black man that believed in the meritocracy, and got nothing but a cold dose of white supremacy and couldn't take it anymore.

I think this guy was stressed from fighting against prejudice from two different lifestyles. One being gay and the other being black. I think he found out which lifestyle prejudice affected him most.

Virginia shooter Bryce Williams sued Tallahassee station for discrimination

The Tallahassee Democrat published this story on Flanagan's lawsuit in 2000:

A local television anchor-reporter, slated to lose his job with Tallahassee's NBC affiliate in two weeks, has filed a racial discrimination suit against the station --- alleging that news producers and other managers made offensive remarks about blacks and fired him for complaining about it.

Management of WTWC-TV, Channel 40, said the station was having a "reduction in staff" requiring the firing, but that the company was proud of its diversity record.

Vester Flanagan, who has reported for WTWC-TV since last March, said he and another black employee were referred to as "monkeys" and that a supervisor once told him that "blacks are lazy and do not take advantage of free money" for scholarships and economic opportunities. He said when he cited his own background of nearly seven years in television, going back to internships at San Francisco State University, the supervisor told him he was an "exception."
Flanagan, 26, said Thursday he was told on Feb. 9 his employment contract will not be renewed after March 15.

Since filing suit late last month, he said, "their reaction has been more of arrogance and retaliation --- they told me, 'This is war,' and there could be no compromise."

General Manager Maria Moore said the station has not been served with the suit and could not comment on personnel issues or pending litigation.

She said the decision not to renew Flanagan's contract was caused by corporate belt-tightening but declined to say how many staff cuts were being made at the station or how many blacks and whites worked at various levels in the company.

"I am very proud of the diverse staff we have at NBC News 40, and the environment of respect we have created," she said. "We have a strong story to tell at the proper time and to the proper authorities."

Moore declined to comment on specific allegations made by Flanagan but said "the decision was based on a reduction of staff. His position will not be replaced." Flanagan, who had been a weekend news anchor and night reporter three days each week, was recently reassigned as a full-time reporter on weekdays. He said his bosses refused to let him use station equipment to make "resume videotapes" to send to other stations, which he said is a common practice in TV news.

Flanagan declined to identify producers and other managers who allegedly made offensive comments. His attorney, Marie Mattox, said she and Flanagan did not want to further aggravate feelings in the office if it is possible to work out a settlement.

"It's gotten really hard for him now," said Mattox.

Flanagan said a white supervisor, working on a story about a black homicide suspect who had "gold and green teeth," referred to the suspect as "just another thug." The same supervisor also speculated that the man had "collard greens" in his teeth.

Flanagan said that after complaining to supervisors about insensitive comments, he filed a formal complaint with the Florida Commission on Human Relations last December.

He said "I had people coming up to me and saying, 'Hey, I hear you're not going to be around the station long' " in January, before the station notified him that his contract would not be renewed.
Mattox asked Leon County Circuit Judge Nikki Clark to issue an injunction to block Flanagan's termination and to award unspecified financial damages, legal fees and court costs.

I remember Johnnie Cochran saying in his book it's hard to prove racial discrimination cases but how you can is by showing the change in behavior. People will lie about using race to insult but if you can show how their behavior was different toward you than you can build a stronger case of racial discrimination.

If they start doing things differently because they didn't normally do before.
