Note 5 rumored to have removed replaceable battery

actually, the opposite is true.

samsung has too much damn vision. they're trying to make too many models in too many price ranges.

:smh::smh::smh:

That is a hardware company trying to win in the mobile space.

They think throwing out the latest and greatest hardware will win which has proven to be false.

The longterm money is in content distribution which Samsung doesn't have an answer for.

a few premier devices with world-class features with great batteries... that's all.

That would help but Apple and Google are fighting for who controls your content.

Samsung has no way to crack a dent in controlling content since they are nothing more than a hardware company.

Samsung is going to have to break away from Google at some point but they're not a software company.

i knew these two had something going-on, but it's moving slow...

samsung + blackberry marriage underway

"BlackBerry has developed a very close partnership with Samsung and we’re committed to deepening the interaction between our engineering and product development teams for the long-term,” said John Sims, President of Global Enterprise Services, BlackBerry. “It is a natural progression in our path to providing our customers with more alternatives to meet their evolving mobile needs."

The question with Blackberry would be is their name enough to bring former Blackberry users back from their iPhones.

Government agencies have been getting smartphones for the past year, I don't see them picking a device because of a joint partnership with Samsung and RIM.

RIM has proven to be not good at seeing the future either. Samsung should buy RIM but they won't because they lack vision. They need a way to monetize distributing content to their users.

I wish them the best of luck for the sake of innovation.

Man I don't know how you guys can operate with out a removable battery, I have three and lord knows how many times that shit saved my ass on various occasions.
Anyways I love the Note 4 as a phone, don't give a flying fuck about no brand... So if I ever upgrade I will turn to the brand that is offering what I need from a phone, if Samsung goes the Iphone rout I will treat their product the way I treat Iphones, middle finger up and all..
Bingo...

I'm in no hurry to move from my Note 4, I'll wait and see what the Note 6 looks like. LG learned when they tried this shit, went right back to the removable battery and SD card.

:yes::yes::yes:

it's a battery. why shouldn't you have the flexibility to replace the battery in your phone? why try to lock the shit down... for what reason?

and who doesn't like/want the OPTION to add more memory in the form of a microSD card?

it's my phone. let me do WTF i want to it... and with it. :angry:

That is the problem.

Apple makes money from iTunes and the Appstore.

Google makes money from search and content distribution.

Samsung Mobile just so happens to have a parent company that makes everything for the world, so they can afford to give the latest hardware at affordable prices.

That will not last because it will get to a point where the hardware is cheap enough for too many vendors to enter the market.

They need to start bringing out Tinzen to start the transition away from Google.
