{~~~Guns, Guns and Mo' Guns - The Right To Keep And Bear Arms~~~}

Depends. The .223 is more accurate over longer distances, but I believe the 7.62x39 is more powerful. The AR is more modular. Ammo is cheaper for the AK. Magazine capacity the same. Like someone else said, go for both.

Seems like a good deal but that's the fixed stock version. Fucked up part is classicfirearma and other retailers sold the folding stock model for 799 a while back. But Atlantic always sold the folders for 849 or higher. But it seems all they import now are the fixed stocked, but you can swap it out sending it to a gunsmith. I say all that to say FUCK Atlantic lol ol price gouging asses lol

He asked about the AK pistol vs AR pistol, not the rifle :hmm:

Yeah he did BUT I would say neither. You are better off sbr'n both and making it a rifle. These "pistols" are nothing more than a work around for obtaining and manufacturing SBR's. You keep it in pistol config until your paperwork is approved. It's hard to get good accuracy from either "pistol" because a cheek weld is less comfortable than having the gun shouldered. The snappiness of the ak recoil is gonna keep you from putting it anywhere near your face so you're shooting from the hip or doing some spraying and praying. Remember the AR "pistols" using the brace? Everybody use to shoulder them until the ATF said that was illegal. That in itself shows these pistols were just a fuck you to the NFA. Never really something you wanted to depend on as far as accuracy in the "pistol" configuration.

What about not doing any paperwork due to not wanting to be on a list?

Buy it cash, locally, and keep in pistol configuration for the "purge" or the "televised revolution".

I like how you did your aks with the triangle folder. Are they all M92's?

Are your Vepr's folders, too? And how you get different barrel lengths?

How hard would it be to interchange between this .300 Blk and 5.56?

It ain't bad but ain't a great deal. They had 300blk's setup with the brace for $499 at a couple places recently.

To interchange btw the two would require a barrel change as the 300blk is a 30 caliber pill. If you shoot a 556 in a 300 blk it will probably work but be hella sketchy in terms of accuracy. Shoot a 300 in a 556 barrel it ain't gonna make it out the barrel your second shot would probably have your gun barrel roll back like Elmer Fudd:lol: or maybe even injure you so yeah don't do either.

You could do that for sure. I just try to stay from getting hemmed up. But when the purge comes or shit hits the fan yeah all bets off.

Nah the bigger of the two is a M92 the one with the actual triangle folder is a mini Draco.

The longest vepr which is like 22" had a wood stock I replaced it with a folder. The other two I cut the spot weld on the folding stocks to make them fold. The SBS vepr with the 13" barrel came from Russia like that but had a shroud on it making it 19" like my other one. Once I got my stamp I cut the shroud off exposing the shorter barrel.

What kind tho? Isn't manufacturer important for reliability?

Read some negative experiences on Sota arms.

Ok...y'all tell me the details on this piece...

Well it's been time, but this here!!!

As easy as an upper change. The bolt and magazines are interchangeable.
What you think about that deal for $615?

Not sure about SOTA Arms and 9 don't having to alter shit as soon as I get it. I like to buy & run it!

BRUH!!!!!! These lil bastards are money and time pits :lol: fun to shoot but I took it a step further and SBR'd both my Pap and mini Draco. So yeah another $200 for tax stamps on both. But yeah thanks for reminding me I need to polish my Draco's internals might even put that new Geissele AK trigger in it. The Pap was smooth out the box and was supposed to be my truck gun but after getting the Draco it feels like a full size AK in terms of weight. Sad part my truck gun changes monthly it seems and these two aren't even in the rotation.

So the Draco is lighter? By how much (compared to Pap)?

They seem to be about the same length from back of receiver to end of barrel. I want another Pap or a Draco or Mini Draco.

What would you pay for a Draco or mini Draco?

$615. isn't bad for what it is, I would try for a better deal with $$ in hand. I also like the idea of a stand alone instead of the converting back and forth.

Looks like a Black Aces Tactical SBS. I bought a virgin receiver a few months back for $99., and F1'ed it into a SBS. In the pic below, she is sporting the rare as hen's teeth 14" Mossberg factory front end. I also have a 8" Safety Harbor KEG12 front end for her.....

Nah it's the way they are postioned the mini is shorter by a good 3-4 inches plus the stock isn't adjustable like on the pap. The weight...hell I didn't weigh them but the mini feels 5 pound lighter the pap feels like my damn scar lol but the Midwest rails are heavy too so that may contribute.

Uh now... I wouldn't pay over 450 for either. They both can be found for less than $500 worst case scenario.

Yooooooo I remember that. What's the reliability on that sbs? How are the mags? You put some range time in with it to tell yet? You gonna make me spend some money:hmm::lol:

Y'all ever regret a buy?

I got something on the line.... I know it's what I want and it's under retail.... it's just the timing!

Fuck! Need tires on the truck!

:lol::lol:

Been there, buyers remorse is a mutherfucka. Fuck it, it will wear off with a couple rounds downrange. I see you got that Vepr, nice grab. I may just have to get one, before the supply dries up....

I still haven't been able to get any substantial range time with her. I shot about 2 mags, to check the function. Cycled countless snap caps through her, the action is butter now, but that's about it. I finally got them to admit, Siaga mags won't work without major mods and tinkering. They do sell propriety mags (and drums) on their site, that work well. If I had to do it again, I would probably go with a turnkey unit from them for $495., and F1 with the KEG front end. FWIW a mag fed pump isn't very practical, when you have Saigas, and VEPR's readily accessible.....

Thanks for the info. I was being greedy.
