This was unfortunate but atleast our prime minster offered his apology for these actions and took accountability for the wrongdoings. America still hasn't taking accountability of it's actions.
I'll never forget the look on my wife's face when I showed and proved to her that France originally intended the Statue of Liberty to be a gift to the United States of a black woman breaking the chains of her enslavers. Yes they learned it at school but they don't have to stand and sing it. I don't believe in useless, showy protests so I wouldn't advise them not to stand if asked. The power comes in getting the knowledge and quietly using it to your advantage. They're very familiar with the true nature of this country as I've pumped it in their heads from birth. Their teachers are also used to me sending them back to school with challenging questions. They may not agree with my stance on certain issues, but they actually respect it a lot. We speak via email or face to face at least once a month. They just wish more parents were as involved in their children's education. Peace

My family still to this day says that we are "part Cherokee". I say "Naw, Cherokee is part us!!!"
