Cowboys Get La'el Collins...5/7

I think if we get just some out of our defensive front, lawrance,Hardy and Gregory, which i think they will be outstanding truly, the corners and safeties will feast, not talking worldbeaters, just a lot more turnovers, just a little more pass rush. Running back is one of the things thats kinda crazy, Mcfadden could be serviceable, but maybe joe randle as well. A chris johnson or another good back, doesn't need to be great, healthy is most important. Offensively, we are in pretty damn good spot , good wrs, great te, and talent and depth on Oline now, but I would like to see the cowboys get Fred davis, to hopefully stretch the field, hanna is good blocker now but not enough from him or escobar for me.

Honestly, chasing after over the hill big names is what got this team in trouble for years.

Leave all the Fred Davis and Chris Johnson type cats alone. This team is young and talented. Stephen and McClay have done a good job.

I feel you to an extent. They have done a kick ass job last year and this year most definitely , we didn't sell the farm on one player, drafted smart and cheap, Adrien Peterson would be insane behind our line though, 8 in the box and 1 on 1 with dez on outside , shiiit!

nigga if we get AP,.....tickets would be sold out for every home game in a fuckin day. the only thing left would be the standing room only tickets.

Man at this point Peterson wants to play here so bad he's probably cried about the shit

The NFL doesnt want that to happen, the nfc east damn sure doesnt, but every rb in the league would love to run behind this line thats shaping up as something special, but we gotta see it on the field too.

Maaaan If AP went to Dallas at this point. I think I'd have to sit this season out. I don't even want to think about how that ish would play out.

Jerry got some more tricks up his sleeve.
there has got to be a premier RB behind that line......he wont accept nothin less.

I hate the cowboys but great pickup n props to Jerry for giving this young man a chance

One thing I can say with confidence is your Oakland Raiders ain't making the playoffs

Saints ain't about to do shit either

That I know

I hope yall get AP and we see the Cowboys of old. This brutha got a cold deal and hope it all works out for him in the end.

AP , young and aggressive O-line with depth, good passing game and just a pretty damn decent defensive front pending hardys shit, and hopefully the corners fare better with a improved pass rush.AP is unlikely but i would love to see it happen

I'm glad he got on with a team I hope he has a long successful career and he gets his millions owed to him by not being able to participate in the draft process. Hope that's some compensation for essentially not getting to "walk the stage" like every other 1st round pick which probably was a major goal/dream for his life

best of luck
this.

dude played his heart out at LSU, had everyone's respect, and didn't cause any trouble.

he's not even a suspect and still got fucked over.

So who else putting their bid in to be a RB on the Cowboys. I'm stretching..running suicides getting ready for camp... I can pretty get a few hundred yards a year behind this line..

real talk.. if they get AP, he's running for 2000+ easy.. he's pretty much had a year's worth of rest.. he's gonna be fresh as hell.

Dallas has OFFICIALLY won the 2015 NFL Draft!

The fuck y'all get 3 first round picks? Damn y'all get props from me. Is someone BESIDES Jerr-ruh running shit now? Has he come to his senses?

Either way it don't matter. Y'all FO pulled together one of the best drafts that I can remember.

Now here's to hoping that your HC doesn't fuck things up for ya!

I'm just here so I don't get fined

Yea Dallas is up there with the Cheifs and the Rams...the Rams is building a powerhouse/ smash mouth running attack over there...(seem like something at wideout ain't right, along with time for the young players to get experience)

The Cheifs loaded up on secondary players...

They talked about a stat that in the first 8 games last season Demarco Murray had 600 yards BEFORE CONTACT. This cat would've been #2 or #3 in the league in rushing yards if they just used his yard before getting touched.

Man I'm a Redskins fan but I can't even hate on this move. His press conference was very impressive and he seems like he will leave everything on the field for the Cowboys. I am shocked that 30+ teams were not ringing his phone after he was cleared by the police. :smh:

I think that it was a great move.

I really think Randle is going to have a breakout season.

He averaged more yards per carry than Murray did last year albeit on fewer carries.

I will say this, with McFadden's speed, some of those holes Murray took for 20 yards last year would be taken to the house.

Murray's a good back though and I don't blame him for taking the money.
With all those injuries though does McFadden still have that blazing speed like he did coming out of college? Yes Randle could have a break out season but will it be on par with what Murray did? It was a reason he was backing up Murray. I don't blame Murray for taking the money either, RB"s shelf life in the NFL is slim to none.

I mean the way he spoke I believe he said he had his choice of any team in the league. Which i'm sure he did. A top 15-25 pick at 500,000 a year?

But yeah after his presser yesterday its clear dude has a good head on his shoulders, a leader and is smart. They keep lumping him in with dudes like Greg Hardy and shit. Getting Collins was the best move of our offseason. To get a guy that young for a already young and dominant offensive line is surreal.

I don't even think its about having the same year Murray has. People on the outside will try and judge whether it was the right or bad move letting Demarco go by comparing his stats to our RB's.

But the fact is, that type of shit we pulled with Demarco was very silly. At the time I wasn't against it because I thought Demarco could handle it bu we ran that dude into the ground and by the end of the season he was hurt and wasn't running with the same energy.

I think Randle if on the team will shock some people. I think right now he's the best running back we have because he can do it all. He can play special teams, he can pass block and he has breakaway speed. If McFadden is healthy he's the better back IMO but he won't play special teams. Neither will Dunbar or Ryan Williams.

They don't need 1 1900 yard rusher. They need 2 or 3 guys who can compile that amount of yards.

AP would cost a kings ransom, probably way too much but i damn sure know he is probably just a year or two to old to risk it. But does have a year of rest.

I think if you wanted to trade for him now would be the best time. Cowboys were smart not to give in around the draft. Vikings were trying to cash out. Hell no. You have a disgruntled player who doesn't want to play for you. I'm gonna hit you up after the draft and then possibly give you a pick next year. Teams always lose their minds around draft time they just want to compile as many picks as possible and get guys who they have on their board.

I don't think the value would be that terrible. Maybe a 1st or maybe even a 2nd round pick at this point.

I wouldn't do the 1st rounder but I wouldn't cry about it either.

I think the biggest obstacle would be trying to get AP to fit under the salary cap. Off top I think they'd have to do something with Carr's contract and re-sign Dez and get him off of that 11 million franchise tag.

Yea man, I was very impressed. Which sucks for me. Something tells me that the temptation will be too much for Jerry and ya'll will pony up a package for AP. I just have that gut feeling.

Kinda getting that same vibe, the dude avg damn near 6 years a touch last year, but i will take , one back getting 900-1200 yards, Mcfadden or randle and the rest picking up 500-800 yards spot work behind them, romo does not have to carry the team now , just be efficient and make the plays he should.

If it meant getting AP for two good years, I would force carr to take a paycut or cut him, and resign dez for long contract and guaranteed money. If our pass rush improves just a little, we would be fine with Scandrick and M claiborne or jones on outside. Look at the patriots and Seahawks, a good pass rush can make your DBs look like superstars!

But I really wish we could have moved up in the 3rd to grab the RB Coleman, Duke Johnson or Ajayi in the 4th or 5th.

I hope Chaz Green and the other Olineman turn out to be good.
I would have loved to draft a RB instead of one of them.
