Official JUSTIFIED Discussion Thread UPDATE: They BACK new mini series! Justified: City Primeval

Good finale

Thought for a second Boone killed Raylan

Boyd killed everybody in the shed

Wynn Duffy is the only real criminal on the show. He knows how to win, got 9 million

The convo Raylan and Ava had was almost identical to the convo they had in the 1st episode of season 1.

Loretta takes over now

Boone like lightning. He could just roll the chamber over in the holster before he ever draw.

I think his aim will be more of a factor than speed.

Raylin fast and accurate, boone just quick.

You were right.

BTW, the ending was hardly legendary.

I loved the ending better than SOA. But now do we do with our Tuesday nites??! :( We had SOA in the fall followed by Justified after the Xmas holiday. Now what? I feel hollow. This is the biggest Tuesday nite void on FX since before THe Shield.

I think the reason Raylin wanted to kill Boyd so bad is because he saw all the things he hated about himself in Boyd.

And Fam is right, I think Boyd wants to be leive Ava is dead, so his heart can let her go.

Raylin and Wonona have a strong passion for each other (sex) bbut not love. The best sex is generally with some one you never can get along with unless your fucking.

"Nice hat"

"I tried it on and it fits"

Was all that really needed to be said. Rachel the strong black woman cant afford to be sentimental in a mans world. Remember she aint want to hold the baby.

Loretta kicked boone's gun away because Boone was seeing if raylin was going to move, so he can shoot him again.

You can get into "tyrant"

Excellent finale. They ended it with style. Caught me off guard with that "4 years later" shit

I thought for sure Boyd was going to get blown away but they really played up the Billy The Kid angle with him. Got him throwing dynamite at the "Federals" and escaping custody. Outgunning Sam "Peanut head" Elliot and his boys

Talk about a bad plan though. Mofo took 10 million to Harlan County and all he got was robbed and murdered...And bested by a little girl

once again you bringing it all together.

But I may just be an old romantic but I think they DO love each other but its a hard love. I tell you that walk in the skirt the way Raylan looked at her? He hitting that.

Rachel to me was such a layered character I will miss her so much, she ALWAYS made the most of her time on screen even when she didn't have a line.

Kicking myself because I brought up the baby thing myself earlier should have seen that...and now knowing she left Kentucky and STILL is friends with Raylan says a lot. The bullshit politics in that office would never had let her succeed anyway.

Boyd aint scared of shit or to die. He wanted Raylin to kill him. Boyd cant kill Raylin. He only tried once on the 1st episode and never once tried again. He has had plenty of chances if he really wanted to.

He played chess, he lost. Which includes Ava. He was talking that shit to pressure Raylin into killing him. But Raylin can only bring him self to kill Boyd or (the part of himself he hates) if he has no choice, which is why he was trying to get Boyd to draw on him.

Man, ain't nobody buying none of that shit...well I ain't. I don't want to underestimate the amount of gullible motherfuckers out there.

I disagree, I got a feeling it will sell with hopes of a movie or reunion to increase value.

part of me. I often confuse my inability to jump into fads or materialistic things as quickly and easily as everyone else does as many people thinking like I do. I apologized in that. I have long been one the fad, simply because it is what's popular. stranger things have become popular and sold.

I have to say, right now I am reading the Friends of Eddie Coyle and the dialogue is amazing just up to the first few pages.I'm reading it on my Kindle and probably should be going to sleep right now

if I find a pdf or e-book I might have to try to start another Writer's Circle Book club with that being the first book.

maybe can even critique each others work on dialogue like a kind of writers club.

In something of a surprise, FX’s Justified parlayed widespread acclaim for its final season into a leading five nominations, including best drama series, lead actor for Timothy Olyphant, supporting actor for Walton Goggins (who’s also up for his guest work on Sons of Anarchy), supporting actress for Joelle Carter and guest performer for Sam Elliott.

Emmy Contender Chat: Joelle Carter says goodbye to 'Justified'

Justified's" Joelle Carter stopped by The Times recently to talk about the fantastic journey she and her indomitable character, Ava Crowder, went on during the show's celebrated six-year run.

The shootings, the prison stint, the passionate and often dangerous relationship between Ava and Walton Goggins' Boyd Crowder ... and yet, somehow, Ava made it out of Harlan alive, an escape that she, in a nod to the writer behind the show's source material, calls a true "Elmore Leonard female ending."

"I knew how it was going to end, although we didn't know how we were going to get there and the way we shoot on 'Justified,' you're never quite sure," Carter says. "So I was holding my breath."

Justifiably so (sorry), given the way that Boyd pretty much murdered everyone else close to him in the season's final 13 episodes. We talked about the shocking manner Ava decided to go her own way, Boyd's reaction and how pretty much every other actor on the show wanted their characters to die -- but not Carter. (And probably not Jere Burns, who played Dixie Mafia member Wynn Duffy, a "cockroach" character that Carter says was meant to die at least half a dozen times throughout the show's run.)

We also discussed the show's finale screening in Harlan (Carter's first visit to Kentucky), the rivers of tears cried when shooting the last episode (it sounds like show creator Graham Yost bought out Kleenex supplies within a 100-mile radius) and what items she took as souvenirs from the set.

If you're feeling the loss of the show, listen in. Like a good Kentucky bourbon, it might help ease the pain.
