(DeMarco called Chip) visiting Philly tomorrow... awww shit...

Not worried as a Cowboys fan at all really. Murray was great last year but at the same time we had the best line in football, Arguably the best WR in football a top performing QB...that combo alone is an ideal situation for who ever comes in. Philly has a good line when healthy. But lets be real here it was easier for McCoy to get off when they had those deep threats over the top that forced the defense to remain honest...tell me who do they have to make defenses keep only 7 in the box? ..Riley Cooper? I'd rather Jerry use the money on defense and draft Gurley or Gordon.

you do know that Murray had his best success running last year when they stacked the box with 8 players

Bruh, who was the running back on the three previous 8-8 squads?

Then we draft Zack Martin and he leads the league in rushing. Listen to what we're saying bruh lol

Nah, I'm not gonna say that though fam.
Murray been killing it every year he was there as a Cowboy. You can call out his health but dude was killing it rushing the ball before all the linemen were assembled you guys just had an O.C. that would always go away from the run. There were plenty of times me and eewwll would go into your threads and scratch our heads wondering why you didn't just stick with the run?

This year you finally took the ball out of Romo's hands

You do know that Randle and Dunbar averaged more yards per carry than Murray did behind our line?

Murray was good, but he left a lot of yards on the field. That's why Marshall Faulk said he runs to darkness. He's a tough, physical runner though. If you're a physical team, he can be a good piece.

Obviously, it was a good fit with us, but not the only one.

Jerry may still be trying to get AP for all we know. I wouldn't overpay a RB in this league.

Eagles fans crowing, but seriously, the Cowboys could call him on his flight right now and have him if they wanted to. If he goes to Philly, that means the Cowboys let him go.

are either of those two able to be the back that will take all the pounding and get the hard yards on 1st and 2nd down

Doggish, don't bite fam. We didn't hear NONE OF THIS BULLSHIT, until it became likely that he was rolling. Like a Dude would rather have Dunbar than Murray!

It's like when a Dude dumps a broad and then ALL OF A SUDDEN she talks a lot of shit about him once he shit on her!

Talk all the shit you want, desperation shit by the way, Murray is the reigning Offensive player of the year and rushing leader, all that other obscure shit beginning pulled out of asses is just hurt niggas trying to self soothe!

Plus, Murray didn't leave half the yards on the field Shady did with all that damn dancing so.... IT IS WHAT IT IS!

Jokers crowing about getting AP, a bar k with more than twice the career carries an a helluva lot more mileage and pounding on him... he may beast next year but long term

Oh no im not questioning the decisions. I'm just saying he was killing it but not getting the opportunity to kill it like this year in previous years.

I doubt AP gets out of Minnesota, and especially not for cheap and especially since they have him locked up. Just draft somebody. Draft a rb and then address the defense

For sure. I won't shit on Murray, he's a good back. He's not one of those types of talents that aren't replaceable. Plenty of good RB's in the draft. With our line and our passing attack, whoever we put back there can feast.

Need to address the D for got damn sure.

You m'fers kill me talking about the lack of loyalty. They drafted Murray & Bruce Carter while they were injured and helped them get to this point in their careers. It would be absolutely irresponsible to to pay Murray and ignore addressing the defense. They learned their lesson by overpaying Barber for have one good season. I think Dallas should make an announcement tomorrow that they have moved on. Let Murray pursue his money. Murray is nickle and diming at this point. Eagles are not offering that much more than Dallas. The smartest move Dallas has made so far is resigning Doug Free. And they did it within financial reason. And tired of all the Murray talk. I appreciate what he did last season but I'd go with C.J. Spiller or a youngsta out of the draft with fresh legs.

Dallas needs a DL, DE, LB, CB & a Safety. Murray is cool but not that fucking cool where you are mortgaging the team's future. Get fuck out of here with that bullshit. Rod Marinelli did a hell of a job with a bunch of no names on defense last season. Now imagine if he get some decent pieces for the up coming season. Man!

Bye Felicia (Murray).

This is true because I didn't even like them niggas wasting draft picks on dudes who gonna red shirt for them and ain't even healthy. The Bruce Carter shit kind of pisses me off though because I would've gave him the 5 million per year. Demarco not so much. I had a feeling he was gone when we offered him that deal. We don't value running backs 27 who we just gave 400+ touches too.

I wish him the best though.

I'm a little pissed off though that now the limited resources we have has now to be invested in a fucking running back when we had one.

But if we had to lose someone i'm glad it was Demarco and not Dez. Demarco can be replaced with this offensive line. Dez....not so much.

Fam, you're reading it all wrong. If you guys got Dez, I would be devastated. That dude can't be replaced.

Murray is a good back so you have to replace him with a good back. He still would rather be in Dallas. Jerry just won't pay him.

But. Look at Murray's runs and see how many times he wasn't touched until he was 5-10 yards down the field. All we're saying is, if we block like that, a lot of rushers would have success. Not any back, but a good back. He'll help your squad, but we're not tripping. Getting better and young at the position is not a bad idea. AP intrigues me, but spending a 1 and getting Gurley saves us money at the position and gives us a much more explosive guy there if it works out that way.

Congrats. But just like you talked about Shady's dancing costing you yards, listen to the people that have seen every one of Demarco's carries as well.

If it came down to having Dunbar, Ryan Williams and Randle over overpaying for Demarco? I'd rather do the former.

Y'all had no choice. Your offseason has been abysmal. You niggas went after Frank Gore. You guys didn't even value Demarco. But now since y'all sit here with nothing to show for your offseason but Sam Bradford, Walter Thurmound, and the rest of these hurt ass niggas you overpay for another hurt ass nigga who been hurt his whole career until last year when he was hurt but decided to play through out because he wanted to cash out.

Demarco is a tough cat. Will he be a asset to y'all? Yeah.

But if someone told me would I take Lesean McCoy or Demarco? I'd take Lesean. What sense does it make to get rid of Lesean McCoy and then turn around and sign Demarco? WHy not just keep Lesean from jump? Because Demarco was a last ditch effort by y'all.

DeMarco Murray’s father: Son hasn’t decided future; Eagles called RB, and he just returned their call

http://cowboysblog.dallasnews.com/2...ls-hurt-he-hasnt-decided-his-future-yet.html/

Dallas running back DeMarco Murray is pictured at Boardwalk Ferrari in Plano as part of a public relations event sponsored by Hublot, the Official Luxury Watch & Timekeeper of the Dallas Cowboys, on Tuesday, February 10, 2015. (Louis DeLuca/The Dallas Morning News)

Running back DeMarco Murray is on a flight this morning bound for Philadelphia for a free agent visit that puts his return to the Dallas Cowboys in serious doubt.

Kevin Murray, DeMarco’s father, just talked to his son on the phone a little before 10 a.m. CT. Kevin Murray told The Dallas Morning News that though DeMarco feels “hurt” right now that the Cowboys haven’t made a stronger offer to keep him, his son hasn’t made up his mind yet on where he will play next season.

“My impression from talking to him this morning is that he loves his coach, he loves his teammates and the Dallas fans,” Kevin Murray said, “but he’s just hurt that something hasn’t happened to lure him not to take the trip right now.”

Kevin Murray also clarified an ESPN.com report Wednesday. Kevin Murray said that DeMarco was returning Philadelphia coach Chip Kelly’s call Wednesday morning and that his son didn’t make the initial contact.
“Everybody keeps saying he called Chip Kelly. He was returning Chip Kelly’s call,” Kevin Murray said.

Kevin Murray said his son is still wrestling with the decision on where to play next season and “absolutely” he hasn’t closed the door on the Cowboys. Kevin Murray said his son plans to give the Cowboys another chance to make another offer before he makes a final decision.

“He loves the Cowboys and he wishes them well,” Kevin Murray said. “But I don’t feel like his mind is made up. He hasn’t indicated that to me in no kind of way.”

Kevin Murray said his son is scheduled to meet with Eagles’ officials early this afternoon. He said, for now, it’s just a visit, but there is mutual interest between Murray and the Eagles.

“It’s a visit to my understanding,” Kevin Murray said. “When you take a visit, you’re taking a visit for a reason.”

Kevin Murray said during his phone conversation with DeMarco this morning he just tried to offer his support and comfort him.
“I just comforted him in his decision,” Kevin Murray said. “I support him 1,000 percent. I always give him my input. But I’m not the one out there running the ball.

“I comforted him that he did nothing wrong. I feel he is one of the top five running backs in the league and I comforted him in that way.”
Kevin Murray said he’ll just be glad when the free agency process is complete for his son, one way or the other.
“It’s stressful to me,” Kevin Murray said. “I haven’t been able to rest in the last three or four days.”

Kevin Murray called his son a class act in every way.
“As a father, I want to iterate this, and this is very important, as a father you teach your children hard works pay off. And then they go out and they work hard, as hard as they can, and then hard work doesn’t pay off. And that’s the kind of thing that bothers me.”

Kevin Murray explained that what bothers him is that the Cowboys haven’t rewarded his son like they should have with him coming off a career season in which he broke Emmitt Smith’s club single-season rushing record with 1,845 yards.

“DeMarco is a strong kid and he’s worked hard for everything he’s done,” Kevin Murray said. “I just think he’s going to make the right decision for himself.”

The more I think about it let that nigga go especially if we can get Gurley or one of these other running backs.

I'm actually proud that Dallas is sticking to their guns financially. If you look at the last two years there has been a big mentality shift in Dallas in terms of overpaying players. FANS WERE ALSO UPSET WHEN THEY LET WARE GO. I wish DeMarco well. He is a hell of a player. I just wish he didn't go to a division team. I can't blame him for trying to cash out. But I also understand the team not throwing the bank at him when they have a whole team to consider.

As soon as DeMarco signs, it will be better for everybody.

Fam, that's what I'm saying. Add a tough runner with the ability to take it to the house in this offense???

All the good pass rushers will be gone by 27. Gurley would make this offense unstoppable.

Romo Dez Witten Gurley >>>>>>>> Sanchez (cuz Bradford will be hurt) Matthews, Ertz, Murray.

I dare any Philly fan to say different.

i think this ^^^ statement answers the question of whether or not jerry should match any offers for murray.

if demarco comes back, it's bc philly low-balled him or bc he simply wants to stay in _allas.

I agree. I can't knock them because thus far everything has worked. To the T. Its smart football decisions.

They being cheap for some reason. I don't know if its to go and look at AP or Greg Hardy or what. But there's a reason why they doing this. Because in years past they would've been restructured cats just to get Demarco done.

But like I said yesterday, they value their offensive line far more than they do Demarco and rightfully so. They've invested heavily into it.

y'all depend on romo and whitten a lil bit too much... like them two motherfuckers ain't getting old.

:hmm:

Witten is replaceable. We got tight ends on the roster. Only cats that not replaceable on this team is Dez and Romo.

Not even defensive linemen though. THey got that shit. THey got some solid defensive linemen. They need some pass rushers..only dude I see out there is Greg Hardy that can automatically come in and have a immediate impact for us. I don't care if he's suspended 8 games or whatever. I'd still take the shot. They being cheap for a reason. I hope its because of Hardy.

And i'd still go primarily defense in the draft. They can go and get a running back with one of them picks but they need to go defense the rest of the draft.

When I say defensive lineman that's what I mean

Pass rushers

Not just bodies

Don't bring me no more vet minimum niggas and try to hype then up

Get me some niggas that can really get to the QB

If you being cheap better use that money to really truly bolster this defense

Real rap, I would have wanted to keep McCoy rather than sign Murray. McCoy is faster, more shifty and has a better potential to break the big play. That 12 million was a hit, but it wasn't my money...

Fact is, the team had other needs, so a move had to be made, and if Murray is a part of that move I'm happy as hell. I do think the fact that we have the 20th pick and would be in line for Gurley or another of the better backs in the draft, SHOULD keep us from spending too much on Murray if he does in fact want to come here.

I fuck around a lot, have a lot of fun with you guys, but ultimately, Murray or one of the other rookie backs would be fine with me, since crying about McCoy is a moot point at this point...

I'll reserve my REAL excitement until December... Kelly has a lot to prove with all of the moves he's made, and the bigger issue isn't who is in the backfield, but at QB and our fucked up Secondary... Maxwell is really the one in the spotlight this year.

My concern is, can he be a beast without the talented players around him he had in Seattle

If i'm Maranelli i'd quit these niggas if they for one more year give me some undrafted free agent pass rushers or some vet minimum pass rushers....i'm not fucking my legacy up trying to coach these niggas up. I don't even see no one that we could immediately go out and get right now and have them contribute now in the draft. It has to be a signing...Greg Hardy will be great. Closest thing you can get to a big time signing like a Charles Haley.

They already gotta find another linebacker or two, maybe a safety and a corner or two. They need a few linemen too on defense. They don't have enough value picks to address all these needs. I'm more disappointed in that shit than I am with not bringing Demarco back.

Its like someone done kidnapped Jerry or he in a coma or some shit.

The top pass rushers in the draft will be long gone by the time we pick

So it's either trade up, sign Hardy, or trade for another pass rusher

PJ Laferla ‏@PJL 6m6 minutes ago

It looks like $25M guaranteed for Murray, but the entire deal is $48M over 4 years to join the Birds. @AdamSchefter @andrewssports @Eagles

If this is true hell naw. Cowboys wasn't giving him that fuck shit.....

Mccoy is no way faster than Murray. Mccoys number will drop in Buffalo.

Murray is faster than he looks but he can't take shit to the house......cat gets winded by the time he gets to the 20 yard line.....Murray is far more physical and built to take on 20+ carries a game though. He's a diverse back but he's more physical than he is fast and more quick than he is fast.

I'm not with the trade up because I think you can get possibly two starters with those 1st two picks. If we were a pass rusher away i'd be more inclined. Unless we talking about a future draft pick to trade up.

I was talking about this with someone else.....you look at who leads the sacks....all these cats are 2nd round picks and higher. Some are undrafted. They gotta really scout for the future and find some of these guys that every draft is field with. But whoever its won't be ready now. Still gotta find someone. Hardy needs to happen right now if we serious.
