Vegas now list the Cavs as favorites to win the NBA championship, proving what I've been saying all along.. You see at the beginning of the season I said I liked the moves the Cavs made but I would not know until the All Star game how far they would go.. The shortly before the ASG they made the trades that sured up their lineup and right away I noticed that their composition had changed dramatically and from then I said that they should be favorites to win it all.. To me predictions this late in the season hold m
Now before I go any further I must stress that, like Vegas, this is a prediction based on probability, not some psychic bs or a guess on how I would like things to be... When you are dealing with probability you are actually analyzing variables that are more likely to happen and weighing against each other..
My method is simple I look at all the top teams flaws and see what teams has the fewest vs what team has the most flexibility... I reward bonuses for superstars of the game, depending on their ability to alter the way teams play defense against them and their ability to make their teammates better..
I don't know exactly what criteria Vegas uses but I do know that they are the most accurate (they have to be this is where all the betting money is) but for them to match my prediction shows that my system is pretty good, for the record I usually am at accord with the Vegas odds, in the NBA, and in the NFL usually close in the vs odds by a point or two..
Again for the lame brains, nobody is saying they are going to win, no one can accurately predict that, all I and Vegas is saying is the odds are in the favor of the Cavs winning... And for a billion dollar organization who one mistake can cost them billions, such predictions are not taken lightly..
Good luck to the Cavs and this thread, will be gone for a few weeks up to a month... I will try to come here, once I get internet connection, will miss the Hawks game, and that should be a good one..
I think whats going to be important in that one is the rebounding edge, and the Cavs ability to attack the paint. If the Cavs do what they should do, it may force the Hawks hand to play big..
Also Alex is right, the Cavs need to stop bullshitting with T-Mo mins in the 4th quarter, enough is enough with that shit seems to me they are getting a little to damn cute with leads going into the 4th and its going to bite them in the ass eventually..
