A few good Netflix movies you may not have seen

Don't sleep on this show. I've seen the first two episodes so far and it's pretty damn good!
In some ways, it reminds me of V/H/S

"The Trials of Darryl Hunt" is a feature documentary about a brutal rape/murder case and a wrongly convicted man, Darryl Hunt, who spent nearly twenty years in prison for a crime he did not commit. Both a social justice story and a personally driven narrative, the film chronicles this capital case from 1984 through 2004. With exclusive footage from two decades, the film frames the judicial and emotional response to a chilling crime - and the implications that reverberate from Hunt's conviction - against a backdrop of class and racial bias in the South and in the American criminal justice system. This documentary is the culmination of ten years of research and filming. In 1993, inspired by claims of injustice and police conspiracy, the filmmakers began to shoot in North Carolina. Working from a mix of formats (16mm and 24P video) the film melds the visceral reality of a murder case with first person accounts and cinematic imagery, illuminating perceptions and memories of events as they unfolded for the people closest to this haunting story. This unique look at one man's loss and redemption challenges the assumption that all Americans have the right to unbiased justice. Hunt's story - while one man's personal journey - reflects systemic issues of national concern: cross-racial eyewitness identification, prosecutorial misconduct, inexperienced defense attorneys assigned to capital cases, racial bias in death penalty cases and errors in police procedure. Barry Scheck from The Innocence Project, who worked on Hunt's case for ten years, and Gary Wells, professor and eyewitness expert, offer concrete examples where errors occurred in Hunt's saga and offer future remedies and effective ideas to prevent future "Darryl Hunts." Hunt himself addresses the need for systemic reforms to prevent wrongful convictions, underscoring the haunting reality that Hunt could have been sentenced to death and we would never have known this story.

I can't find this one.

Anything new to see on Netflix or Hulu? The last thing I watched was Wentworth and I'm on Luther now. But looking for new shows.

For some reason I can't find Fruitvale Station, and I want to see it.

Coco!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Where the hell you been big mama?

How you like Luther? Damn shame they have so few episodes of that show.

Peaky Blinders is a good UK show on there I just watched.

The Following is a decent show, especially the first season, or The Kiling.

Snowpiercer is a good movie on there, and Wolf of Wall Street just dropped.

Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia is a good comedy.

Breaking Bad and House of Cards if you've never seen them.

sabotage w/ arnold schwarzenegger was a decent watch

I got that shit in my list, I planned on watching it this weekend but so many flicks seemed to pop up on the net Friday that I never fucked with Netflix this weekend.

Hey Outlaw, I've been on here, just not as much. Just been having a lot going on.

I'm just on season 1 ep 2 of Luther....I'm trying to see if I'm going to like it.

I've been watching Breaking Bad for a while, I'm on the last season, but I keep stopping because I know Walt is about to get busted by his brother in law and he's being too reckless for me now. So I've stopped watching for a bit...it makes me nervous :)

House of Cards never seemed interesting to me, I'll have to give it a look.

The others I've put on my watchlist and will try to watch them.

Let me get ready for work. Thanks for the suggestions.

Tis the season for happy movies, but if you want some horror for the holidays don't sleep on these. IFC Films makes some of the best horror, all of these are on steaming. IFC is not about gore, blood, and slashers, if you want that than these aren't for you. IFC horror is about suspense, mystery, light and dark, shadows, just a creepy tone that are great for night watching. I seen all these and haven't been disappointed. Looking for more movies on streaming from IFC.

This thread is a gold mine. I can't believe I missed this. It's the perfect time too since this is the mid December-February dead zone for tv. Robot and Fred was good. Lockout was decent(the cgi car chase at the beginning looked like Tron or some shit). Exam was pretty good too.

Decent for a B-rated movie. Nowhere as good as Blood and Bone...

Thanks for the reminder. I saw this trailer a while back and meant to check out this movie months ago. It slipped my mind some how but I'm watching it right now. Very good movie. Somewhat reminds me of Robin Williams' Bicentennial Man.

Old one but ifyou haven't watched it in awhile...

This movie is/was wayyyyyy ahead of its time. Easily, for me one of the best sleepers since The Matrix.

What's more interesting is the movies basis is not that hard to imagine for our future selves..

Good movie, had a great old school Brooklyn feel to it. I watched it twice in one day, hell may go home and watch it again.
