Sons Of Anarchy The Final Season!!! Official Thread. HOLY SHIT!

That ending was white privilege summed up perfectly. Let me shoot up a courthouse, shoot at a cop and get an slow moving escort by a caravan of cops on down the highway.

Not to mention, he shoots at the cop and the cop doesn't shoot back? Jax must have said "white powers, activate." before this ep.

i dont get how Gemma & Clay Morrow killed John Teller, and now we assume that John Teller killed himself in the same way Jax did

I watched the first episode a few months ago and never watched it again. Has Timothy Olyphant ever played a character with a personality? He's always stiff as hell(Dead Wood, Hitman, Die Hard 4).

1 and done? That's a little early to give up on most shows, especially Justified. It's solid with a lot of interesting characters that get time to develop.

Justified is one of the best written shows on television. That cast gets great material to work with every season and they deliver every season.

What am I going to do on Tuesday nights now

Riding through this world all alone God takes your soul, you’re on your own

The crow flies straight, a perfect line

On the Devil’s Bed until you die

The whole time Jax was riding at the end and the crows started showing up the song was running through my head.

I really hope that Sutter actually does do a follow up with Abel. A christmas special like Dr Who does. Showing the after math and then Abel returning to Charming to take his place with the Sons. I think that would be quite interesting to see where they all ended up.

Going to miss this show though.

Okay so the ending was alright..

lettin jax kill himself was okay but it tied up loose ends a little too neatly especially considering most of other members like opie and otto went out hard core.

he could have told chucky he loved him..shit he said it to everyone else:rolleyes:

didn't like chibs threatening the sheriff..considering how fucked in the head she is the threat wasn't really needed. When she said its over Chibs should have said..okay..the turned and walked back to the door, look back her and say "If you need it...I'll be here.." then go into the building.

lot of convenient shit happened...how the fuck you gonna shoot up someone in front of a court house and NO cops or security show up?

for a second I thought jax was gonna confess to everything like vic mackey did in the shield..

Tig getting the vp slot was :hmm:..this dude should BEEN had a mayhem vote for killing opie's wife, going rouge and killing the 1-9er leaders girlfriend who happened to be popes daughter which set the club on a collision course with that organization.

The Grim Bastards didn't get patched in as a group SOA just took in one dude..I ain't exactly impressed. Another example of integration resulting in the destruction of already estalished black organization. YAY! they let jackie robinson in the majors...but it killed the negro leagues:hmm:

the most emotional episode was the juice confession...the last two kind of felt like okay lets wrap it up..

You only get the mayhem vote for killing a charter president if i'm not mistaken.

I thought this shit was solid. I can't get too up in arms about a show that was more guilty pleasure than it was a masterpiece. It was a good show for what it was though. It was a nice ride. They ended it....sort of how I assumed they would. Wasn't sure how Jax was gonna go out but you sort of knew he was gonna go out. I thought it would be at the hands of his gang. All in all....it was a nice ride. Justified can go as well. I watch it but that show has no direction at all. Atleast Sons had one.

For the most part this sums it up for me.

SOA was entertaining to watch but was never brilliant. It almost had a video game feel to it IMO, like GTA or Saints Row so I could never take it too serious.

But I was always entertained though.

I didn't like the ending but I understood it.

I personally was rooting for the brother so knowing Jax was dying I was hoping August and his crew took him out and got a win lol.

I wish shows would take a cue from shows like Game of Thrones or even Walking Dead. Waiting until the last season to kill characters makes it very anti climactic. The only main character killed that had impact was Opie. Juice's death had no impact and Gemma and Unser dying was obvious.

What was with the homeless chick who gave Jax the blanket at the courthouse? Was she the same homeless chick Gemma saw at the truck stop?

And also whats was the meaning of the crows eating the bread at Jax death scene?

They should have had a remake or alternate version of this track playing during that scene.

Maybe a slow acoustic version or something. The lyrics fit that moment perfectly.

Here you go I posted this a page back after doing some research

On Tuesday’s episode- awhile after the jailhouse nose-biting- we finally got some background. Jax Teller (Charlie Hunnam) goes to visit a man who, it turns out, had a wife who was killed in the same car accident, years before the event of the series, that killed Jax’s father. Jax sees a wedding picture of the late wife and comments that she “looks familiar”- and yep, she’s the homeless woman. Who, it appears, is a ghost.

That was the same bread the homeless lady had left behind

Religious symbolism. Jesus gave his disciples bread and wine at the last supper. Bread for His body and wine for His blood. That was what the homeless lady was eating and drinking earlier in the show. If you look at the bread the crows are eating you can see its soaked down the middle with wine.

and the outstretched arms on the bike

taking the "sins" of the entire club onto himself

speaking to spirits

talking to his father right before his death

being a god man vs father (divine/man)

at first having doubts then finding resolve and acceptance

it is one of the best written and acted TV shows out that gets no hype.

Its like a modern day western based on Leonard's novel.

Stick with it...you will not be disappointed.

Yup yup

Its giving her something to do, cuz if he plans on resolving the mother/homeless lady plot he needs her to be recognizable to us and have us care a little.

I completely forgot the homeless lady is the ghost of the woman who died during Jax's father's accident?

I'm saying Jury told Jax that his father knew his bike completely

implying that even IF Clay and Gemma conspired together to mess with it he would have known immediately...

which would mean he WANTED to die because of his disillusionment with the club.

And when this accident happened an innocent (THE HOMELESS WOMAN???) was killed?

homeless.jpg

Homeless Woman appears several times in Sons of Anarchy. Always when Gemma or Jax are going through an emotional decision making process. In the episode 'John 8:32' it was stated that she may be Emily Putner, mother of Brooke Putner.

Brooke Putner is Rat's girlfriend and Jax's sons babysitter.

So either she is a ghost or she survived...

Could John Teller have SURVIVED???

Remember he had a whole other life in Ireland with girl and daughter Trinity that NO ONE knew about...

and also Jax's dead brother Thomas Wayne Teller...

see that name?

I feel like there is something a big twist coming

OK I was wrong...

BUT I KNEW the homeless woman would play a part!

I understand fans being torn about embracing a show about racists bikers but your right

if you have followed the series from the beginning Jax was never about that and pretty much wanted to change the culture from day one and that reaction from Chips when Juice finally confessed to him was DIRECTLY at the audience to say come on...we don't REALLY care about that stuff.

But Sutter had to true to the REAL bike culture where it is alive and does exist.

And its been proven over and over by Sutter with the Grim Bastards, Jax constantly wanting to work with other gangs and Sons always hugging and them giving dap, Chibs wife, the Sons calling the Irish old and out of touch for not wanting to do business with Blacks, Pope becoming a father figure initially to Jax.

And just the whole hypocrisy behind ALL these gangs with their rules and regulations and so-called codes of honor when they ALL rape kill and lie cheat and steal with abandon USUALLY primarily to detriment of the OWN people.

* told y'all before Sutter would do something with black at the end of the series somehow....

It came to me today besides Jax looking like a the reaper before he killed August, the real beauty in that scene was the shook look on August face before Jax shot him. He was like "This white boy done lost it, broad daylight all these fucking witnesses he aint give no fucks"

Right. That's a good comparison. It was basically a live action GTA.

I disagree with you though about deaths. Its on the level of Game of Thrones in regards to main characters getting killed. I thought Tara's death was impactful, Gemma's, Uncer....Juice you sort of knew it was coming but still.....and of course Op's. Clay's death.....the show was built around him. He was probably the most popular actor on the show....or atleast prior to the show. They bodied some main characters.

I don't mind it but I think Game of Thrones and Sons did body main characters just for the fuck of it. When you do it so much it sort of starts to lose its shock value. That's where Game of Thrones is at now.

clays was really the only one i felt was surprising.

it was like he had 9 lives.

Right. August didn't think for a second he would get bodied right outside of the courthouse.

Gemma's probably would've been more surprising a year earlier. But I didn't see the shit coming with Tara. Especially how it went down. I always thought the finale would be her and Jax riding off in the sunset.
