This season better be good. They keep this show going and going, but last season was terrible. Last season of Supernatural was so bad I started watching Grimm on NBC.

wow I'm surprised the board aint up on this show...

last episode had a great "justified" special appearance:D

the episodes seem rushed to me, the gay undertones still keep me and wifey dying though damn Bobbie went crazy down there

ok...we werent the only ones who thought Dean and the vamp were a little bit TOO close?

Great to see Bobby:dance: fresh off justified, they NEED to bring him back.

they had way too much going on though in one episode when they had whole episodes that were stretched way thin like then the teen hunters and stuff:smh:

Why have Sam lying to Dean AGAIN!!!

I thought after all these years they were past that shit.

God I hate that buck teeth bitch Felicia Day, the next episode will be the third fucking episode of the season they have given her

Gay undertones??? You ever see war vets get together? Shit is deep. They have shit they will not even talk to their families about -- only people who were there on the battlefield. The place Dean was at was the battlefield to end all battlefields. It's a simple concept.

Show is good. I'm just sick of the heaven/hell shit. I get god has left. I get there is chaos. But it is just pathetic that the "good" guys don't have a decided advantage. Furthermore, I'd like it to be a god from another universe that the god in this universe is running from.

At least come with something new.......

Supernatural Season 10 Premiere Watch: Everything Is Different Now For Sam And Dean

supernatural_67728.jpg

Supernatural kicked off its tenth season with a six-week time jump and an intimate story that moved last season’s cliffhanger forward in a compelling way while failing to launch any big storylines. This was new territory for a series that religiously uses premieres to show the audience a glimpse of where they’re going in the episodes to come. What we found in “Black” was our favorite characters in vastly different places than where we left them. Sam is a desperate wreck hellbent on finding his brother. Dean and Crowley are taking a howl at that moon by drinking, playing foosball, and bickering like an old married couple. Castiel’s grace is leaking out from under his trench coat. We get mentions of last season’s major story arcs – the angel factions post-fall, Abaddon’s followers, Metatron in prison – but this episode was about picking up the pieces, not putting them together.

The destruction left in the wake of Season 9 dominated both plotlines in this episode. In a nice contrast from the beginning of Season 8, Sam spent "Black" obsessively searching for Dean. His gaunt face in the opening scene and his injured shoulder hinted at the horror he’s faced during that search. Seeing Sam so unhinged was a jarring way to jump back into Supernatural. For all the jokes made this hour, “Black” felt hard around the edges. The fissure that opened up between Sam and Dean last season slowly eroded the sentimental center of Supernatural that gave fans something to fall back on when times got rough. Come hell or high water, we could always count on Sam and Dean having each other’s backs. The final moments of this episode proved that’s no longer the case.

I spent the majority of “Black” rolling my eyes at Dean’s subplot. The writers were given a chance to go anywhere they wanted with a Dean Winchester freshly raised from the dead. They chose a karaoke bar in North Dakota and made “Deanmon’s” conflict with a waitress a central focus. Given the character-centric approach to “Black” I wouldn’t say this plotline was completely inappropriate. We know Dean well enough to know that drinking, singing karaoke, and sleeping around is his idea of a great time. It was merely disappointing that this particular place is where we pick things up with Dean. I was infinitely more fascinated by his evolving relationship with Crowley. The self-proclaimed “King of Hell” wants Dean as his partner in creating a better version of the underworld. Dean isn’t interested since, as we now know, his interests post-resurrection are strikingly similar to his pre-resurrection ones.

If and when these BFFs split, Dean won’t have a steady stream of tomato can demons to keep the Mark of Cain satisfied. He’ll drift away from what humanity remains and eventually become a full-time demon. The Winchesters are famous for snatching victory from the jaws of defeat at the last second. But I get the sense Dean becoming a full-fledged demon would be a point of no return for the character. Now that I understand the stakes, I’m curious to see how Sam thinks he can fix this problem. If the Mark is removed, will Dean die for good? Keeping the Mark seems like a ticking time bomb. Either way, it seems unlikely Sam can realistically pull his brother back from the brink this time. This being a show about two brothers saving people and hunting things (the family business), we all know Dean will eventually be fixed. What will sell this season early on for me is how effectively the writers handle this process. If it’s bungled, we could be in for a long season. If they stick the landing, we should all be very excited. The results for these turning point moments have been mixed during the show’s illustrious run, so we’ll see how the ripple effects of Deanmon affect the rest of this season and beyond.

The B-story reunited Hannah and Castiel for a quest to track down two rogue angels. What I took away from this plotline was two things. First, Castiel is beginning to realize just how much humanity has seeped into his DNA. The conversation in the car with Hannah where he described those human traits revealed a lot about his state of mind following the fall and angel civil war. Castiel is physically and mentally vulnerable right now. Hannah will soon come to see that the angel she hopes will lead Heaven going forward is not equipped to lead. He’s always been too independent and forward-thinking for Heaven’s unyielding hierarchy. The true question is whether Castiel is willing to kill again for fresh grace. You have to wonder if there’s a permanent fix for this problem. I’m not ready to see a “grace addiction” storyline play out this season. Castiel has much bigger issues to deal with as Heaven attempts to rebuild itself.

Judging by the final scene, “Black” was meant as the first part of a two-week premiere. Next week we’ll see the reunion that’s been over six weeks in the making (in the show’s timeline). Dean is not Sam’s biggest fan right now. The youngest Winchester will do whatever it takes to save his brother. Someone is walking away from this confrontation broken-hearted. Something tells me Sam is in for a lot worse than an injured shoulder after Dean gets done with him.

Line of the week

“Your brother and I were wondering if you hit another dog.” – Crowley

wow...surprised bgol don't really follow this show

I watch this shit every week.

Just when you think they have reached a creative end pass, they come up with something new.

The Kain arch from last season, now Dean being a demon is great.

OK I thought I was the last man standing...

I JUST caught up...

Demon Dean is an amazing creation the current cast is excellent, didn't think it would work with Crowly as regular but it DOES...

My issue is its like they saying BEEN had some type of evil in his soul.

But what I don't get is Dean been heartless since he came back from hell!

Its like they forgot he was a torturer down there that the DEMONS were afraid of.

And its like people forgot that while Dean was gone Sam became like a SUPER HUNTER and then the next season pretty much went back to normal.

I can't believe they KEEP coming up with new ideas...and keep the show fresh.

Still mad Bobby dead and REALLY wish the dad would come back for a special guest spot.

When Sam was in super hunter mode wasnt he addicted to demon blood at the time? Dean is currently heartless because the mark of Kane has gotten him addicted to killing, he needs to kill and Crauly was who was keeping him in check so he doesn't turn into Jack the Ripper. What I like about the show is the whole scientific explanation of angels and demons, they aren't some supernatural spiritual being they are basically just another species that were around before humankind and they have a better understanding of the universe.

disagree a little...

there IS a god and there is IS death. So I wouldn't say everything is explained by science.

But I forgot about the demon blood and Sam essentially being half-demon because the yellow eyed demon fed him his blood as a child. But I liked how when Dean was gone Sam handled himself. But I thought he was off the blood...but I could be wrong.

AND I understand Dean's current predicament but I'm saying they BEEN leading up to his damaged soul for a while now. They even showed that he LIKED purgatory...

Dean, feels he needs to be punished for all the guilt he feels for the things he has done.

Even Crowly said "nah the demon in dean is his own".

Well yeah you can't explain how God or death came into existence but that isn't necessarily supernatural. They set the rules but I believe they can both be killed, everyone under them are no different from us besides their special abilities.

Dean is a realist he isn't going to bitch and moan about how bad he has it, when he is in a bad spot like purgatory he made the best of it with no regrets

I must admit i'm kind of tired of the Angels. It's getting pretty boring now. I need the boys to go fight and kill some new shit.

I'm terribly sad Dean is a baddy now :( It's horrible.

'Supernatural' boss: Yes, Dean punches Charlie, but she hits back

The-Hunter-Games.jpg

For Supernatural fans, the Mark of Cain has never been worse (or better, depending on how you look at it) than the moment it turned Dean into a demon in the season-nine finale. But despite Dean making it back to his normal, human self, the Mark is still around, and fans haven’t seen the last of its supernatural effects.

When we left the Winchester brothers in 2014, Dean had just murdered an entire house full of normal humans. Sure, they were despicable humans, but as fans of the show know, the Winchesters hunt “things,” not people. But thanks to the Mark of Cain, Dean’s rage has grown past the point of differentiating between what is right and wrong. So will human Dean end up being darker than Demon Dean ever was?

“That’s certainly the fear,” showrunner Jeremy Carver said. “That’s the fear that’s driving both brothers over the second half of the season to find a solution to this thing, and it’s going to cause them to shake a lot of trees and associate with a lot of characters that they may not want to associate with in looking for, if not a way to get rid of this thing, than for a way to figure out how to live with it. So, in terms of Mark of Cain Dean being darker, that is certainly the threat.”

And step one of the journey to find answers leads them right to the man they’d hoped to never see again: Metatron. “Well you have to assume that Metatron, with all the knowledge he has amassed over the years, might be someone you would suspect has a particular insight on the Mark of Cain,” Carver said. “As of right now, Metatron is our closest link to God and someone who may know all of this stuff, so he’s a logical if unsavory place to start.”

Although, don’t expect Metatron to suddenly become one of the good angels. “[The brothers will] get more than they bargained for. [Metatron is] the perfect example of a person you’d rather stab than talk to, but again, strange times make strange bedfellows,” Carver said.

The good news: The brothers’ quest for a solution will give fans more interaction between Castiel, their favorite good angel, and Sam and Dean. But that doesn’t mean Cas is done with Claire. “The Claire-Castiel story is not finished,” Carver said. “You’ve got this guy who is in some ways, beyond how he deals with Sam and Dean, is reconnecting with humanity in ways that he never thought possible. That journey continues for Castiel, while he does get caught up more and more in what’s going on with Sam and Dean as the season moves toward a conclusion. But the idea of reconnecting with this sort-of daughter and what it means to him and what it sparks in Castiel in terms of how he sees his place here, is not over.”

As for Sam, the younger brother remains focused on saving Dean, though Carver assures fans that Sam’s story will be as juicy and emotional as ever. “If you think back to seasons past, there were plenty of times when Dean was very focused on what was going on with his brother, what’s ailing Sam. So given what happened in episode 9, it would be criminally negligent for Sam not to be worried about what’s happening with his brother, and that’s going to lead him on a journey that will become his own, but the root of it is, ‘How am I going to save my brother?'”

And in his attempts to save his brother, Sam is going to ask for help from a number of familiar faces. After Metatron’s return tonight, next week will bring back fan favorite Charlie, whose time in Oz “has changed her profoundly,” according to Carver. Without revealing too much, Carver did promise that the promo that showed Dean punching Charlie in the face is “not schmuck bait. [He] is punching Charlie.”

But the real twist isn’t Charlie suddenly knowing how to take a punch to the face. As Carver put it, “She knows how to give a punch to the face as well.”

Supernatural returns tonight at 9 p.m. on The CW.

Wow, it's not everyday you see a woman get her ass beat like that by a man on tv. Way to go Supernatural :bravo:
