Sons Of Anarchy's last season...I'll have to check this out....Sons came at the perfect time after the Wire went off the air...hopefully, this is some nice gangster shit to fill that void..

I'm only on the forth episode but its solid so far.
The only thing I hate about a lot of these great UK series is that a lot if them only do 4-6 episodes per year.
When I see shows like this, Luther, etc. I always think how great it would be if Showtime or HBO had them and they did 10-12 per year.

They dont have the money to do 12 shows a year
besides, this way, there is a lot less room for filler episodes.

Yeah I realize money is a factor which is why I said I always wish the larger American companies could get these shows or at least partner with the UK companies that oroduce them ( they've done it with shows like Rome, Lilyhammer, Getting On, and maybe even Game of Thrones I believe).
As far as filler episodes that usually happens when you over produce shows ( when there are 20-24 episodes a season).
Very few 10-12 episode a year series have that issue. It s a perfect compromise.
4-6 is too shirt and tends to rush and omit a lot of what could be great storylines. When you get past 12 is when there is too much time hence a lot of bullshit filler episodes.
